We went in a Saturday night and were unable to sit at a Teppanyaki table since we did not have a reservation, understandable. The staff were very friendly and assured us we could order from the Hibachi menu at a regular table. There is large selection of sushi on the menu but we opted for the Hibachi Filet Mignon and Shrimp. The meal comes with clear soup which was absolutely tasteless and a house salad which was good and had a nice ginger dressing. The meal took forever to arrive and the waitress came out to apologize for the delay several times. When the food finally arrived it was covered with teriyaki sauce, the vegetables were soggy and the fried rice didn't really taste like it has been fried at all. The portion was generous but we were not expecting to have teriyaki on our meal. At this point given the amount of time it took for them to prepare this food we did not elect to send it back. I would say overall average food, I have had better Japanese in the food court at the mall. I would not return here.

I highly recommend going here for lunch as they have great lunch specials for both hibachi and sushi. I highly recommend any of the hibachi specials and I also highly recommend the mt. Fuji salad which is my favorite thing on the menu. The rolls are alright but not anything too special so I'd recommend going for the hibachi over the rolls. The service is fast and friendly. The place gets very noisy at night with a lot of family and kids sitting at the hibachi tables so beware it's not the greatest place for a date. Overall it's a wantagh classic and especially great for lunchtime

My family and I are regulars at Mt. Fuji. We order takeout from them about once a month. We order the same thing that we go every time: Chicken Hibachi. What can I say? We are creatures of habit. The portions are huge so there is likely to be leftover. It usually ends of being second dinner for us to be honest. The hibachi dinner comes with clear soup and a salad. The dressing on the salad will have you licking the plate clean it is so good. The sauces that come with the hibachi are also incredible. When we come in to pick it up they are always so friendly to us and greet us with a smile. Best hibachi I've been to in all of Nassau County!

It was pretty darn good! I went for my best friend's brother's birthday and the family had a great time. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars was because the rice at other hibachi places has more veggies in it, and with the extra veggies he cooked, he only offered to two people, meanwhile there was enough for the whole group of us to have more lol. I ordered Chicken & Steak Hibachi, medium-rare but it was cooked more medium than rare. I've gotten sushi to-go, from here prior to this visit and it wasn't bad. I'd go again if there was an occasion but nothing stood out.

Went here for the ‍ time because we have been going for years! I couldn't believe I haven't reviewed yet! So great hibachi tables and always a fun time. The chefs are very energetic and interactive Today it was just me and dad for his 70th birthday! Wanted something simple and local being a Monday after Súper bowl, before Valentine's Day and after my birthday. (In which I have yet to celebrate) thanks COVID! I never order bento boxes but he did and I was so hungry I couldn't think so I did the same. So much food! Of course I need to order a roll, edamame as well as an appetizer he wanted. I substituted brown rice and it held up well. There wasabi is spicy so i know they make it right! The rolls are always delicious and FRESH! The manager or owner came by twice to check on things, we didnt order dessert but they surprised us! How nice what I also love is that I had a second dinner to take home after eating all the seafood :) Btw all that under $100!!!

So much fun, we were a party of eight with the kiddos at this place. Kids menu is very fair. Adult hibachi was priced well too for what it was. It's great being at a local place versus the national chain. Scallops are the way to go. Shrimp were good too. Experience was well worth it. We ordered some starter sushi and dumplings, it was a nice snack. Rice was good, veggies too, and protein combo of your choice in the $25-$35 range for a lot of food (includes clear broth soup with reconstituted mushrooms and salad with that ginger dressing). My friend officer Charlie caught broccoli in his mouth!! And the little one really enjoyed his piña colada!

Seems like it would be easy to find in this neighborhood but it wasn't. We ended up here during a lunch time special and I was able to order straight through Yelp. When I got there 10 minutes later everything was already waiting. The space is small but perfect for what it is and the workers were extremely kind and helpful.. I can't wait to go back again and try some other items. My little girl who is extremely picky loved her cucumber roll and ate 5 pieces on her own! This is a massive win for us which means that they had a great product!

We ordered a variety and honestly enjoyed every single thing -- nothing felt rushed or sloppy, just carefully made and thoughtfully presented. What really stood out was the combination of excellent food and genuine hospitality. It's the kind of place where you feel comfortable, appreciated, and excited to come back again. You can tell a lot of pride goes into both the menu and the experience. If you're looking for great sushi made with care by people who truly love what they do, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend!

Our group ate here on a Friday night. Usually this place is a treat (there are some nights where I…read morewould do horrible things for their table noodles), but this experience was not the best... the food itself was delicious. Noodles on point, shrimp wonton soup excellent, and the shrimp with broccoli entree was pretty good too (albeit a little heavier than I anticipated). Our dissatisfaction came from the service. INCREDIBLY slow given the restaurant wasn't packed. It took an unacceptable amount of time from when we sat down to when our waiter even arrived, and even longer to get the complimentary noodles and tea. Even when we finally placed our order, it took over 30 minutes for a couple of appetizers and 4 entrees, one of which they got wrong... and what was probably most irritating is that the staff spent more time and attention cleaning a table that just finished eating, rather than attending to diners still in the restaurant. And it was after 8pm when they close at 9, it wasn't like another party was coming in for that table. I love this place man, but ya gotta be better.

When entering, on the right side there are lots of tables and booths surrounded by window cases full of pretty teapots. A clay warrior statue in the front and back stand guard. On the left side is a partially open kitchen and the takeout register. The extensive menu covers various basic Chinese and Japanese selections. We shared the shrimp and spinach wonton soup to start. The broth was wonton, the spinach wasn't as soft as expected due to its inclusion of the stems, and the shrimp was a negligible part of the dumpling it was wrapped in. My son enjoyed their chicken and broccoli as well as their steamed vegetable dumplings. My wife and I enjoyed their 6 steamed crystal shrimp dumplings appetizer. So far, so good, but the big disappointment came with the boneless ribs appetizer. The sauce was good, but the pork was barely edible because it tasted as if it had been pre-cooked, left to harden and dry, before being re-heated and served ... not fresh and way too chewy. I ordered it because another Yelper had recommended them, so maybe that dish isn't consistently what it should be? I had also been to Jani's about ten days earlier and it was much better. Me and the cousin I was with split the Lake Tung Ting Shrimp and Moo Shu Beef, so I can recommend both of those. On weekends, a reservation is a good idea.
