I have been looking for a great Hibachi place in the area for a while and now I have found it. Everyone in this place is friendly from the moment we walked in. I ordered the Filet Mignon and chicken. All Hibachi comes with a soup and a salad with ginger dressing. It also comes with a shrimp appetizer. My son ordered a chicken dish from the kids hibachi menu. All the food was cooked perfectly. The hibachi chef also put on a great show and made my young son very happy. I am definitely coming back to this place every time I want hibachi. This place is in a large shopping center with a pretty big parking lot. I didn't have a problem getting a spot. The only issue is the roads get very congested during rush hour and it can be very time consuming getting there. read more

The food is awesome. The menu rarely changes however the selection between sashimi and rolls is a wide variety. It's not a pricey place but the little items will add up if you are experimenting with sushi I suggest you go a few times. They have fried bananas, fried ice cream and several other off the wall desserts that will knock your socks off. They also have a bar. I'm not a drinker but my friend said the prices are quite good for a Japanese restaurant. As far as being busy weekends you should call ahead and make reservations. The place is cool, it's quaint, and overall you'll get a decent experience. I went on Christmas Day and it was busier than normal (we've eaten here many times). Four stars is because in the past I've had great experiences here and my kids like it. It's close to home. The quality of the fillet mignon was significantly below grade. If I could rate this place a zero I would. I was incredibly dissatisfied with the food. After hearing positive reviews from my sister in law, my wife and I who love hibachi decided to give this place a try. Suffice to say, we were shocked. Upon receiving our salads we saw barely any lettuce (see image) and no other vegetables. When the soup came, there was two small slivers of mushroom that looked rather meager. When our dinner arrived we got a hibachi chicken dish with the two tiniest pieces of shrimp you could imagine (see image) and a tiny portion of minuscule pieces of chicken meant for a toddler. Their side of fried rice was definitively not fried at all and it was distinctly just white rice with a splash of soy sauce. I complained to the manager who advised me that previous customers complained when they put additional vegetables in the salad and also complained when there was too much soy sauce in the white rice. To which I replied "then why does every other hibachi restaurant do it?" He ignored all my complaints. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. You'll probably leave hungry. read more

First time trying this place. came in on a Sunday night 8:30pm since it said it closed at 10pm. Waiter was very pushy, seemed stressed, he rushed to take our order. Our hibachi meal was cooked at speed of light, and we were being watched to finish our food quickly. waiter just wanted to run out. Gave us our check as soon as we finished, didn't even ask if we cared for dessert or coffee. I'm also in the restaurant business and I would've understood if it was 10pm and we are still eating but at this time it wasn't even 9:20. After years of my wife telling to try Sushi, I broke down. We where going to go into Iavorone Brothers for take out, we saw next door Mt. Fuji. We where greeted by a wonderful staff, in full PPE, and we decided to eat inside seeing how clean and how much they pay attention to the new restaurant rules. We ordered Yellow tail Tuna Roll, Tiger Roll, Hibachi rice, Miso soup. It was amazing, the freshness of the fish and the tastiness of the whole roll. I am HOOKED. Went in with a few people. No reservations, but we were seated right away. I was pretty pleased with the Sashimi platter. Everything tasted sooo fresh. We did not sit at one of the hibachi tables but we had a good view of them. These guys know how to put on a show. It was a lot of fun to watch. Honestly, really not up to my standards. I eat sushi at least twice a week and I go out to eat at very regularly and this place really really disappointed me. The ambiance was decent, it had a cute enough vibe and I had expected the food to meet the appearance. I ordered an avocado salad (which was sub-par at best) and the waitress brought me a crabstick salad and then proceeded to attempt to convince me that I ordered it and had to eat it and if I wanted otherwise I'd have to pay for both salads. It was extremely rude. Needless to say I called over the manager, he was very nice and said that I wouldn't have to worry.. HOWEVER, upon receiving the check the salad was STILL on there. Really? I'm not paying for YOUR mistake. The food was disappointing. My boyfriend ordered the spicy beef.. which had absolutely no flavor and was mostly onions. My miso soup was average, and my sushi roll LOOKED beautiful...but for a spicy tuna roll it had absolutely no flavor. Pros: good ambiance, nice manager. Let's quickly go category by category: Food: Excellent. Had some of their soups, noodles and a number of sushi items. For the area, I'd give it 4+ stars. Did not have the Hibachi, but we witnessed it and it seemed pretty cool. The cooks had the right attitude and put on a nice show - and plenty of sake to go around. Atmosphere: We've always sat in a booth, very open floor plan. The bar is a pretty good size too, should you want to grab a drink. Also 4+ stars. Service: Pleasant and very attentive. Never waited very long when something was needed. Going to go with 4+ stars again. So at this point we are at 4 stars. But with that said, here is the reason for the 2 stars and why we will never come back again. Although it's annoying, if the store charges for every refill of soda, that's their right. I personally understand it more in the city, and on Long Island not so much. And we're not talking cans of soda here. With that said, if it's a policy I can't really hold it against them too much. However, if you have this policy in place, do not take a soda that is still just under halfway full, refill it, then charge. I haven't been to many Hibachi's, but I felt a little ripped off with the amount of food, especially the fried rice that was served. I can recall having almost a full plate of rice with my meal at other hibachi style restaurants. Nevertheless, the food was very tasty, and I definitely didn't leave hungry, but wasn't stuffed like I should have been for the $$ of the food. The cook was amusing as many are, but he did seem very routine and predictable. Still a pleasant visit. Would like to try again to see if it was just a bad fluke. read more

My Fuji provides excellent service paired with an entertaining hibachi show that the whole family loved, I especially like that the chef is very attentive to the children and goes that extra mile to make it fun for them, the food was good I had the shrimp and scallops very good flavor and cooked well....was not a fan of the rice it was under seasoned didn't taste very good, also my husband and I shared an American dream roll it was excellent and fresh but I on the menu I don't think it said spicy tuna was inside and they brought it that way. read more

Went here for lunch last week. While this is not the best Hibachi I have been to, it was okay, not great. The chef was really entertaining and engaging with his show. My only complaint is he was overly aggressive, IMO. When I say I don't want you to throw food in my mouth, I mean it. So I caved and missed twice and he wanted to keep going until I got it. Really? I would rather eat the food then see it end up on the floor. There were 9 people at the table and he did this with every one of them. He also liked to pour water in the kids mouth and sake to the adults, The majority of the time they missed and got soaked. Funny one time, not so funny multiple times. Maybe it's me. I had the chicken and steak combo. With it I got soup and salad. The soup was clear and one lonely mushroom floated in it. Really lacked flavor. The salad was fresh, and the ginger dressing was mild. I prefer a more tangy dressing. All the food was cooked perfectly. The 2 sauces they offered for dipping were a ginger and then I couldn't tell you what the second one was, but it was not very good. I personally like a ginger and a mustard sauce for heat, but oh well. All the food tasted fine, but it could have had more flavor. I also had the Hibachi rice, which was okay, but also lacked some flavor. The service was fine. Friendly and competent. I would probably return for lunch only, and not get a dinner size. I went for a hibachi dinner with my family for my birthday and had a wonderful time. I went to the grill area where they put on a show and it was so fun. We have ordered several lunch specials such as the 3 roll lunch, bento boxes, hibachis, and Chinese lunches. There is plenty of food, each enough for 2 meals and it is delicious. The problem with this establishment is how it cost $15 plus to order food from there now! Went here for lunch yesterday for some much needed sushi. I had been there once before and my thoughts remain unchanged. It just isn't very good. The fish was not fresh. The family and I love hibachi. We probably go out 2-3 times a year for it. We have been to mount fuji several times since they opened and we will continue to return. The food is consistent, the sushi is pretty good. Generally, hibachi is a pricey way to dine, and Mt Fuji is right in line with what you would expect to pay. If you can sit at a hibachi table with Chef Jackie, do it. He is awesome and we look forward to seeing him each time we go. read more
