For a light snack I like to come and get the fish siu mai. Best to call ahead and order as it could take up to 10min for them to prepare if your in a rush. I have mix feeling on the taste as sometime it tastes a little bit more fishy than usual. Their braised beef noodle is not bad. Because this place is new, this place looks pretty nice and not so run down like the rest of the plaza.

Great cheap place for fish ball noodles and beef soup noodles. Place is a little small so you might not get a seat depending on the day

She hasn't aged a day and she remembered some of my dietary concerns so that was amazing. She also offered options to the dishes which is great for a small takeout place. Ordered chow mien, general Tso chicken and a mixed tofu dish. This place is more than home cooking, it is restaurant quality dishes without a big price tag. The service is fantastic because she is nice and the food comes out quickly. Glad she has wanted to return and has the passion to share with the local community. It is worth a stop in for lunch or takeout to feed a hungry family.

The tofu is decently tender, small pieces of minced pork and a savory spicy sauce on a whole container of rice. 4.5/5. Eggplant with minced pork in spicy sauce on rice. The flavor on this is on point with a nice sweet and hint of spicy sauces. Eggplant is cooked well as is the meat. Sits on a giant bed of rice. 4/5 Rice noodles with sliced pork. The rice noodles are cooked well and the sliced pork is incredibly tender. There's bean sprouts and onions and green onions though I feel the onions may have been a tad undercooked. Still for the amount of food and flavor, it's great. 5/5. Price: Each dish came in around 6-7$ which is crazy cheap considering the amount of food you get. Don't expect any super high quality ingredients but this is your cheap and quick takeout that will fill you up.

The walls were also covered in photos of some of the top selling menu items, and there is a TV on the side for patrons to watch while gobbling down some steamed dumplings. The owners were very nice, despite us speaking in English to one another (we did speak to them in Mandarin). Menus came in either all Chinese or had Chinese and English on them (we got the all Chinese one but were given the translated version after we've placed our order lol). Food as a whole was good. I really liked their pork pancake - it would make a good to go breakfast. The beef burrito wasn't that great - I thought it lacked slightly in flavour. It was probably the lack of scallions in the burrito. Overall, a not bad place. Friendly staff and good, authentic northern Chinese food.

Cumin lamb was good but sooo much onion. Green onion cake was fresh and crispy just delicious but the rest of the dishes were honestly pretty bad. 2.5 star…read more A-OK to the tasty Rice. For a person that doesn't like eating rice too much, I would have just order just the rice! Maybe that's the reason HK Eatery has the option to just getting the Rice ($3) without the Chicken for their Chicken Rice? Boneless Hainanese Chicken with Rice ($6.50) - chicken itself was not good: hard, tough, cold and dry even with dark meat. The soup of the day was really heavy and oily further made the chicken more tasteless. The lone lady there though is super nice. I might give HK eatery another chance but would have skip the chicken.

I also appreciate how they have unique food items on rotation that they wheel around the restaurant in carts. They would ask if you would be interested in the food they have available. We had bean curd tofu, and siomai among many others. I wish they have more sweet sauce available on the side for the bean curd. The siomai was good and stuffed. Price value of the food was excellent. Their service was not. For a non-Chinese speaking customer, you would get the bare essentials service. You can place an order, ask for utensils, get your food served, and ask for the bill. For anything else like asking for food recommendations or a description of what the food is or clarification of the menu item, you are out of luck. Our server had difficulty communicating properly in English. When we asked if we can have more of the black sweet sauce for the beancurd, our waiter just gave us some soy sauce.

Service 4/5 Food 4/5…read moreAmbience 3.75/5 This is a casual family style restaurant offering a dinner and dim sum menu. We attended a dinner on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was very accommodating with the size of our group. We were to be 17 but changed to 13 people at the last minute. Our reservation was for 5:00pm. They offered a large table to seat 10 and the table beside to seat up to 7. We decided to squeeze all 13 onto the table for ten. It was a tight squeeze but we would be able to see everyone. Our friends did the ordering for the meal. We had a ton of dishes coming out with several dishes coming at the same time and no space left on the lazy susan for all the food. We had to leave a few of the dishes on another vacant table behind our table until there was space for those dishes of food. We wanted to order the oysters but that was already sold out. We had a total of 17 dishes ordered and no leftovers (wow!) My favourite dishes of the evening: - [ ] Peking duck. The wraps were super soft and thin. The duck skin was crispy which I really enjoy. - [ ] Salt pepper fried calamari - [ ] Dry lobster - [ ] Lobster on E-Fu noodles - [ ] Stir fried spicy calamari with vegetables, in a crisp noodle basket, crunchy snap peas - [ ] Snow pea tips topped with bean curd sheets I gave the restaurant a 4* overall because of our dinner experience and service. Note: There is a bottle fee of $15 for every two bottles of wine. We actually wanted to attend for the crab dinner special but it is only offered Monday to Friday. The restaurant was very relaxed about letting our group stay to almost 9pm. Parking is available right outside of the entrance and around the side of the restaurant.
