I wasn't entirely sure what to expect - but this place is Montesano in all the best ways. It's…read morefunky, organic in every meaning of the word, and probably one of the best things this little town has going for it. It's much more a deli than a grocery store- not a dig, just the truth. I arrived around 1pm and they had a steady stream of people ordering smoothies and deli items. They have a fun mix of locally made crafts, some organic food items and some weird art. Truly an original mix! But the most important things - the place was clean. The bathroom was clean. The employees were clean and exceptionally friendly and attentive. And most importantly - the food was soooo good!! I had the veggie wrap grilled (because I'm in an endless search for good vegetarian food to eat on the go) and omg was it good. The perfect mix of crispy and fresh veggies, just enough sauce without being overpowering. The wrap itself was delicious, flavorful and super fresh tasting. If you're in the area and like healthy, clean food - this is your spot.

Sandwiches here are AWESOME and reasonably priced! We ordered the Full Monte sandwich and the…read moreMountain High Sourdough. It does take a little longer than a fast food restaurant, but the quality is worth it! It's inside a little market, and there is no seating. Two small tables are outside the front of the store that seat 2 people. Lots of parking behind the store in a large, shared parking lot. We'll definitely stop here again!

My first introduction to Marlene's Natural Foods & Deli Market was about five years ago. My friend…read morebought me one of their delicious vegan field roast Reuben sandwiches. After that I would only visit sparingly, looking for things that were either limited or out of stock at the closest Whole Foods. As of this year, I've made it a staple spot for my vegan and vegetarian options. I've been told that they have mostly organic and fresh produce, which I'm looking forward to checking out in the near future. On my most recent trip, I connected with their deli and hot bar, which is small but not lacking in options. The salad bar has a very well-seasoned balsamic tofu, which is my favorite. I've also purchased some of their Seitan options in the frozen food area that's decent. Overall, I truly love this place. It comes equipped with a decent-sized deli dining area / small shop complete with WiFi services in the back. There you can hang out, eat, or indulge in friendly conversations. The customers, deli, produce, and cashier clerks all come together to create a uniquely neighborhood, friendly atmosphere.

It's not exactly cheap but was SO satisfying with that FRESH egg. It hasn't looked right lately and I didn't get one. Finally I straight asked the clerk if they were using processed liquid eggs now and she said yes. You have got to be kidding me? The whole attraction was the REAL EGG. Tastes like ass when you use liquid commercially processed eggs. It is NOT the same. That's why McDs sells so many Egg McMuffins cuz it has a real eggs. Marlenes is really beginning to suck on a lot of fronts. I did get a grab-and-go of garlic salmon and beef meatloaf which were good. I come for the house made food. If I want crap in a can I can get it at Whole Foods and at least they still have real eggs.
