Stay away from this shop. My mothers car had a small headlight issue. Owner looks at truck and can't has no clue. All of a sudden car wouldn't start. I felt like he unplugged something so that my mom had no choice but to leave the vehicle. He said he didn't have time to look at it so the car was left at his shop for a week. Had to get a rental for the week for $800. Then dude has no clue what the issue was but still charged $250. Felt like this shop takes advantage of people . We paid these Yahoos to put the winter tires and rims on my daughter's car. We explained that the winter rims had their own specific lugs and were in a container on the passenger's seat. We received a call that the process was complete and picked up her car and drove home. On her way to work the freaking tire fell off! Fortunately she was off the highway and slow rolling through a parking lot when this happened. If this had happened at 65 mph or higher this could very well have been an extremely tragic event. What they had done was put the winter tires on her car with the lugs from the summer rims. They are NOT compatible nor interchangeable. They did not follow the instructions given them. Let me be perfectly clear about this.... Their negligence and unprofessionalism put my daughter's life in jeopardy! I was out of state and told my daughter to call them and explain her problem. They sent a tow truck, took it back to the shop, replaced the lugs with different lugs that were incorrect, and sent her on her way after telling her that this was her fault and to never set foot on their property again. She was literally in tears leaving. This is when I called the owner and asked if he had replaced the lugs with the proper ones provided and he said no. He'd only worked on the wheel that fell off. I told him that he should inspect the car more thoroughly to ensure that it was safe, roadworthy, and check for any other damage to the drivetrain that may have been incurred due to his mistake. The owner actually went off on me, yelling at the top of his voice, and calling me every name in the book! He was SCREAMING... calling me a c*cks@cker, m@therf&cker, every insulting name he could think of. Yelling that it was my daughter's mistake and the she should have known the difference in the lug nuts when she picked her car up! And yelling that m@th$r f@ck$rs like me were the reason he was gonna be put out of business! I told him that his attitude combined with his lack of professionalism would do that quite nicely on their own. I then told my daughter to take her vehicle down the road to Alyeska Tire, explain her predicament, and have them look at the vehicle to ensure it was safe. They did this out of the goodness of their hearts for absolutely no charge and also informed my daughter that they have received numerous jobs that were done incorrectly at MT Auto. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP!!! He will freaking fail you, possibly endangering your life, and then attempt to blame it all on you. Incompetent, insecure, untrustworthy, Immature, anger issues, and a complete inability to take responsibility or accountability for his mistakes... No matter how small the job... All we wanted was our freaking tires changed!!! Never again! And frankly, I cannot wait to see those guys out of business with the windows boarded up and the entire property condemned, razed, and gone forever!!! read more

Do not do business here. My wife had her tires changed here and one of her tires fell off WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING, all because they put the wrong lug nuts on her tires. When confronted about it, the owner then proceeded to tell us that she was responsible party and it was her fault for not knowing THEY put the wrong parts on. To top the whole experience off the owner proceeded to call us names that I cannot repeat on this platform. They then not only refused to fix their potentially life-ending mistake but also banned her for life for inconveniencing them. So I took my truck (2017 Ram 1500 Limited) into MT Auto formerly Reeds Automotive this morning located off Old Seward Hwy past Huffman because I had an issue with my bearing on the right front wheel. Not only did they get the parts, repair the issue but they brought my truck back to me at my house. I'm so grateful and astonished at the service. TL;DR this place is sub-par at best. Communication and customer service are non-existent. You'll hear from them only when they want your car out of their parking lot. Zero stars for the level of communication. I had to call routinely to check up on the vehicle and get updates I never would have received otherwise. The receptionist lied about calling me when the shop ordered a custom part and proceeded to work on our vehicle without authorization. Zero stars for the owner's (Tom) attitude towards his own staff and towards customers. Tom told me verbatim that he didn't trust his receptionist to explain the initial quote for our vehicle. Due to this, I wanted to speak with him directly for the quote. Trying to sit down with him took about two weeks. Multiple times he'd given me a time to meet him, so I would come and wait around for an hour before eventually leaving when he never showed. The receptionist kept telling me he would call, but he never would. Tom refused to take responsibility for the lack of communication and for the ever-changing quote. He literally said, "It's just a couple hundred bucks, I don't see the problem. The quote is supposed to be an estimate." He went on to blame it on the "fifty other cars he had to work on." In the same conversation, he mentioned that he forgets to order parts and give phone calls when other things are going on, which seemed odd. He also wanted us to thank him for not charging us for his drive time to and fro the shop...something he said he doesn't charge for anyway. OK, Tom. Thank you for doing your job. Zero stars for the experience as a whole. The entire experience took over a month to get my vehicle back and involved much more stress and much more money than I expected. I never would've come here if I had known that Tom and his crew could only provide the bare minimum instead of the time, care, and effort that's the norm from the other mechanics around town. read more

Oh MT Auto, I'm sure if this was found in a thesaurus the list of synonyms would include words such as: crooks, cheats, liars, theifs etc. Following an install of equipment into my vehicle, that apparently from day one has been done incorrectly, I returned it to see what the issue was. After investigation they had told me that the wires, which are behind a panel, were "kicked loose". Instead of admitting any fault of their own on improperly installing it, they proceed to charge me for the REPAIR!! Minus stars!! I took my camper van in last fall to have them remove batteries for Winter Storage. (70.00) They removed battery leads but did not mark them unknown to me. This May 2023 took it back to reconnect batteries and they connected them wrong. Blew out my 120v inverter and no power to radio. They admitted they did not mark wires for correct reconnection.I took it back with a schematic I got from factory but had to argue with mechanic to hook it up according to schematic. He finally did but inverter was blown and radio had no power. (113.00) They said they would fix it and scheduled appt a week later. I took it in thinking they would at least fix radio wiring and check out inverter for no charge. Mechanic removed the ruined inverter which will cost me 550.00 to replace. Wired new power line and fuse to radio but only works intermittently. Then charged me another 293.00 labor! So 3 visits, 476.00 in labor, plus a destroyed inverter @ 550.00, plus a radio that works intermittently . Everything thing was perfect when I took vehicle in to them last fall. So I'm out 1026.00 for nothing but a lot of aggravation. Very poor communication, no offer to give any kind of discount. Don't take your business there is my opinion!! R. Taylor read more

Do Not Take your commercial vehicle to MT! Bait & Switch price quotes. Received a verbal quote, waited 2.5 weeks to come in. My truck sat there for 3 days before they even looked at it. Then quoted price went up by 50%. And they demanded $145 dollars for this BS quote (1 hour @ shop rate). Beware! I went elsewhere, will never come back to this business. read more

Made appt for tire change over at 2 pm. Called at 3:45 for status, was told about a lug nut problem/they were worn/damaged and needing to be replaced. Vehicle was ready at 5:30. They charged me $200 for the lug nuts, that's $10 EACH! Will not be going back. read more

this is a follow up of the previous rating. as a revie, mt auto still had $500 of my money, they told the bank that they will issue a refund if i came by. i stopped by, the owner processed the "refund". it wasn't a refund! they took another $500 of my money! i called th'em and the owner claimed he didn't really know how to do refunds, he processed a refund while i was on the phone. that was friday, i have to wait until tuesday or wednesday for the refund to process. meanwhile , they have $1000 of my money! read more

The own is a grown 3 year old man...he proceeded to bite my head off after asking a couple questions related to my vehicle. Then, when I left after getting my tires changed over, one tire was loose, and the rim got destroyed. Not to mention I was missing some expensive sunglasses, a change bag that had $60 or so in it, and a friend's cell phone from the glove box!
