Meanwhile, as I was moving a car to make room in my driveway for the drop-off, the car i was moving stalled in the middle of my street and would not re-start, nor could I push it out of the street because the electronic transmission wouldn't allow me to put it into neutral unless the car was running. I had to leave it in the street while I went to meet Daut, the tow truck driver. Daut communicated with me several times leading up to the pick-up to update his status for arrival. I meet him at the pick-up and told him about my situation at home. He said he could probably help me get it into neutral. When we arrived home he was able to maneuver his truck to place the car he towed right where I needed it, despite my other car being in the way. He then he spent a fair amount of time helping to get the other car out of neutral and started, but nothing worked. Daut said he needed to go to another pick-up but would come back if I couldn't get the car started and out of the road while he was gone. While he was gone I failed to get the car started and out of the street. True to his word Daut came back and masterfully got my car, which would not roll, out of the street and into my warm garage! It was an impressive feat to watch. I can't say enough good things about Daut and Eagle Towing!!

Someone took my permit, whether it was another tennant it them, I can't say. But my lock had been definitely picked by someone. Nothing was taken but the permit, which makes me think the tow company did it when they realized they had taken a legit vehicle. They also popped out my rear bumper and damaged my passenger side wheel well. I KNOW they did it because the passenger mirror was also popped inward which requires a lot of force. The girl at the desk said she would tell the owner, but I doubt anything will come of it. The only positives are that they released the vehicle with no charge because the owner of my building told them they had to. What I found disturbing is they released it with no paperwork, no signature, they didn't even ask for my ID. I think maybe she was just trying to be nice, because they shouldn't have towed my car in the first place. But honestly, they're was something shady about the whole thing.

Shoutout to Vulcan Towing & Recovery - Anchorage, Alaska…read more On August 11, 2025 I set out to haul away a very old sailboat with a cracked hull and what I soon found out had a rotten trailer tire to the Anchorage Regional Landfill. The plan went sideways fast when one of the trailer tires blew out, the rim hit the road, and I had to limp into the Carr's Quality Center Aurora Village parking lot. A couple of towing companies told me flat-out, "No way, we're not set up to handle a boat." Then I called @Vulcan Towing & Recovery. Without hesitation, they said: "No problem, we'll be right there." Sure enough, they arrived quickly, and within 10 minutes had the boat safely loaded up and on its way to its final resting place. I'm grateful for their professionalism, quick response, great attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile--literally--to help me get the job done. If you ever need towing in Anchorage, these are the folks you want on your side. #Anchorage #Towing #VulcanTowing #GreatService #AlaskaBusiness #CustomerAppreciation
