Just my experience going there and looking at the slabs, it was clear they'd benefits in educating their staff on customer service - rude and not helpful. We didn't expect much service yesterday, since we were walking into MSI without an appointment about noon on a busy Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised to find a large staff of upbeat people eager to answer questions and research the availability of materials for us. Ultimately, we had some contact with about eight people who seemed to enjoy their job and answered a question or two. A few people really went above and beyond; Joe, Sarah, Bertrand(?) at the middle-front desk area, Hector (forklift?), and two others whom I don't remember their names by the outside pre-fab area, plus two in the large slab warehouse. We've shopped for ourselves and for our clients (custom homes) for decades and never wrote a review, but we wanted to give a shout out about yesterday's stellar experience. read more

My coping for my pool came in completely unusable and my pool contractor sent me here to look at alternatives. I was a lost puppy but Ali and Lula helped me! They ensured I got all the information I needed regarding the options I had for my pool coping. We ended up finding one that I really liked and my contractor was able to order it. Jacob was patient and worked with me to find the perfect match which was Calacatta Trevi for the counter tops. He even offered to carry my samples out to my vehicle just so I didn't have to! This past weekend my wife and I headed over to Anaheim specifically State College and we went to several locations to look for quartz countertops and ceramic tile. We went to several locations but no one had the styles or quartz manufacture that we were looking for. I remember about 10 years ago, I purchased some granite for our bathrooms from MSI, so we decided to head back over to MSI. What a great decision that was. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Jacob Roman. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of all the products. He took his time to show us different samples and allowed us to play with different combinations of samples. He even allowed us to take a few samples home, which no other store allows you to do. All the other stores want you to buy the samples. Now that we have the samples in hand, we will be returning in the next couple of weeks to meet with Jacob Roman again to finalize all our selections. By far this is the best place to look if you are looking for quality, stone and flooring. read more

I've spent a lot of money with this company on various properties and for the most part their product has been good. However, with the LVP product they sell the Prescott series, it is sub par. Expecting some product support, I called my installer and let him know the issues I was having. He said he would check in with them. After that, I didn't hear from him. So I contacted MSI directly. Several times already, they have taken my info and said they would get back to me but did not. So I finally got someone who gave me the name of the rep I should be dealing with, Maia Rushinek. I emailed her and got no response. I contacted support again and they told me they would tell her to call me. She calls me one morning and I was happy to speak with her, she put me on hold and disconnected the call before I could even tell her what was going on. So because my installer went MIA, their crappy LVP doesn't get anymore support. It's been at least 5 times that I contacted them and it's the same old run around. This company has no backbone. read more

We visited MSI three times last month while trying to pick out a quartz color. Luckily, we changed fabricators and the new one told us to go to a different (much better) place. MSI had zero customer service while we were there. At the door we were directed down the hallway to the quartz "area". Once there, we were on our own! They have a large selection but absolutely zero customer service. You roam around looking at the choices with zero help. Two people sit at a counter behind plexiglass- but every time we asked them a question or to check something for us, they seemed put out and bothered. Not sure what they are sitting there for? Also the "sample" area is a joke. Nothing is stocked, so of the 6 choices we liked - 1 had a sample available. The rest were not stocked or available. I understand this place only sells to contractors and fabricators, but those people send their customers there to select their slabs- you would think they could at least be friendly! I'm glad we did not buy our slabs from this place. read more

I went to the showroom to pick out some Zermatt quartzite for my kitchen remodel. Sebastian showed me the slabs on the showroom floor. There was a pattern on the pieces I saw that I was not so keen on. He listened carefully and undestood what I was looking for. Kindly, he suggested we take a look together on the computer to see what other slabs of Zermatt they had in stock. I was a bit undertain at how one could tell just from these little images on the computer - but he seemed to know what he was doing. He helped me pick out a few that looked as if they would be more to my liking. I am so grateful that he was willing to take the time to listen to me and to show me some options. Bingo! I am a project manager who does kitchen and bath remodels and I have used MSI many times. With that being said this review is based off of many interactions not just one. A few major issues that I have had with them... 1. THEY WILL SELL YOUR SLABS EVEN AFTER YOU PAY IN FULL FOR THEM AND TAG THE INDIVIDUAL PIECES. I had a client spend over 10k in quartzite slabs to find out when my fabricator went to pick them up they had released and resold one of them. Natural stone is unique and clients and I can spend hours looking through slabs before deciding on which to go with. The sales rep (who I will not give exact name) literally told me to tell my client " tell her there was an issue loading the slab and it broke leading to them not being able to give us the specific one she had selected".... my fabricator has also had several occasions where they sold his slabs as well. 2. Their natural stone selection is large but many of the slab are in poor condition being damaged or unfinished in one way or another. Not only do they still sell these slabs full price but once you bring to their attention there is damages they manage to give you the run around and not provide you with any sort of reimbursement or solution to your issue. 3. Their sales team is bad with communication and will give you multiple different prices for the same exact piece of stone. *also if you order at the sales desk they give you low tier pricing which does not reflect what you sales rep has quoted you* Overall, I have continuously given MSI chances to make up for their issues and I have continuously been disappointed in them. I will no longer purchase stone or any other type of material from them. There are so many other vendors in the area that not only provide better quality material and service but also better pricing. Save your time and energy and avoid them if you're a homeowner or industry purchaser. read more

Horrible customer service. Walked in and right off the back felt profiled. I would recommend to stay away. I don't know what in the world this rep meant. I am Asian American and may not always dressed up to go shopping for floors. But today I just went out relax in jeans and a t-shirt. When inquire an idea of the pricing on marble floors, he promptly threw out an asinine price. He quoted $45 without paying much attention to what I asked. Like many consumers, we will shop around and find what's best. I don't know what his deal was but overall had the worst experience from the many place I been. read more

My husband and I dropped in last Saturday to look at their selection of granite. I read many reviews about staff shunning homeowners but they're close so we took a chance. As we browsed the slabs and prefab granite yard, an employee or two asked if we had any questions. We let them know we just wanted to browse, they were respectful. After a few hours of browsing their enormous inventory, we went back to the prefab yard, it was packed with customers. I approached an employee asking for help. Hector was absolutely fabulous! He lifted multiple pieces of granite so we could look at the whole piece, he let me take photos from a distance and close up, never once rushing me. I shared with Hector my frustration about trying to pick granite to match tiny samples of my floor and paint. Hector asked about my cabinets and patiently waited as I pulled up some photos. He suggested blue flower granite and took us over to see it. We loved it but I wanted to see all of them so Hector patiently showed us every single piece they had in stock. While the sales rep marked our pieces for hold, Hector went inside and found complimentary back splash selections for us and provided samples of each for me to take home. My first piece of quarts was way to big and had a scratch in it that quickly collected dirt. The second one with correct measurements came chipped and gouged. He tried to fix it but I still feel the gouges. The more he fixed the more the paint didn't match the original color. I'm so disappointed and hopefully in the morning... since they came at 8:30 and left at 9:15 at night.... I'll feel a little different. Not happy with this place. Quality control is definitely an issue. read more

Worst place with arrogant unprofessional people. Don't even bother going there. The place looks superficially nice! But trust me it is not! I want to vomit just to think I have to take them to small claim courts to have them reimbursed me for two pieces of prefab quartz. Immediately , after paying for them we decided we did not want quartz but rather granite. We continue looking for granite but really have not found anything we really like. We want our money back and they kept telling me I will be getting a check in the mail . It's been over two weeks and haven't received anything? Not even a phone call???? We regret going to this place. It's been a real nightmare!!!!!!!!! Be very careful!!!!! I don't recommend this business at all! read more
