We first walked into the shop to looking into a cake for my daughter's quince. Her whole thing was she wanted everything to be whimsy. We saw quickly we walked into the right place for that. The tasty treats behind the glass looked so fresh & whimsical. We showed Ania a picture of the cake my daughter had in mind & she said (straight forward), "Oo... that's a lot of hand drawing detail (see picture of example below)", & let me know what to expect price wise. She had cupcakes out of the flavors we're thinking of & we bought all 3, chocolate, vanilla, & strawberry (which is rare because it was the cake would be strawberry, not the filling), plus a Spider-Man pan Dulce/concha. My daughter ate the concha right there & was in love. She said it was the best concha she's ever had. We waited to eat them for after we ate dinner that day, but we didn't know until that night that we caught something from another family memeber. We weren't feeling well for a couple days, & never got to eat the fresh cupcakes. We HAD to go back because that concha was so good. We go back to the shop about a week later, this time with hubby. We bought the 3 cupcakes again, plus a red velvet and a carrot cake cupcake. We sampled all of them while we were still there. EVERYTHING tasted amazing. EVERYTHING! I love red velvet, but a lot of places make it too dry or something is off with the frosting & it doesn't turn out the best. Theirs is amazing! Just the right flavors of everything in it & perfect moistness. We couldn't wait to try the cake for my daughter's quince and knew the cake wouldn't necessarily look identical to the inspo picture, but were confident they'd decorate it beautifully. The picture we showed them had 4 tiers, but we only wanted 3. We chose the strawberry cake with Nutella filling, chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling, and the vanilla with Nutella filling also. Ania said "Trust me, I know strawberry with Nutella sounds strange, but it'll be great." So glad we trusted her. It was FIRE! The whole cake was gorgeous & tasted ridiculously amazing. So glad we found Mad Kakes! Thank you Ania & your husband (sorry I don't rember his name) for being a big part of making our daughter's day so special. That cake was all the whimsy she wanted & more.

One thing I do want to say is that they have great pastries. However, for anyone looking to book…read morewith them, just know that you really have to stay on top of them because their communication and follow up are not the best. I emailed and called multiple times and didn't receive a response until I continued following up. During my last phone call, I was told that they simply "forgot" about me. What was most disappointing was that there was no apology for their lack of service. It sucks because I really wanted to order a custom cake for my wedding and possibly look into other treats as well. Unfortunately, this experience made me decide to look elsewhere. I would recommend checking out other local bakeries that are more consistent with communication and follow up Definitely a missed opportunity for them.

Every single dessert I've had from here has been nothing but exceptional. It is evident that they are doing what they do with passion and heart. This is hands-down, my go to bakery in town. Do yourself a favor and visit their new location on the Lancaster Boulevard. It's places like this that make our communities richer--not just in flavor, but in connection. Sure, we could all grab a cake or dessert from a big-box store, but it wouldn't come with the same warmth, intention, or soul. Supporting small businesses like this one means investing in real people, in hometown pride, and in the kind of care you can taste in every bite.

Nadia Cakes is easily one of my favorite places for cupcakes, and honestly I consider them one of…read morethe best. It's not surprising they were winners of Cupcake Wars because their cupcakes actually live up to the hype. They have a great variety of flavors, but my personal favorites are cookies and cream, cookie dough, and their cannolis. I've tried cupcakes from plenty of other places, but they're often too dry, too sweet, or too plain for my liking. Nadia Cakes somehow gets the balance right every time. I also appreciate that they offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and keto cupcake options, plus dog treats, which is such a cute bonus. They're also excellent with custom orders. For my husband's 30th birthday, I ordered a custom Nacho Libre cake from them and it turned out beautifully. Even better, it tasted just as good as it looked. It was definitely pricey, but considering the quality, flavor, and detail of the work, I thought it was absolutely worth it. My only tiny wish is that they served hot drinks so people could enjoy coffee or tea with their treats. Thankfully, there's a Coffee Bean right next door, so that problem basically solves itself. Overall, Nadia Cakes is a solid 5/5 for me; delicious cupcakes, beautiful custom cakes, and consistent quality.
