BAD EXPERIENCE!!! FIND ANOTHER CUPCAKE BUSINESS We were lied to not once but multiple times. I hosted a shower for a friend and her mother went to grab the cupcakes. First off, they weren't ready. That already deserves a bad review, if you want a good review, have your cupcakes ready on time and confirm with your customers if you're confused on dates and pickups. This is in response to the owner, for Hollie D review. I was the one who called after 30 min and they told me "yeah someone called five minutes ago about that" so, not only lying ONE MORE TIME is disrespectful, but it's beyond disrespectful for the Owner to respond to THE last review and state "that's not true because you were on speaker", if that's the case review your camera roll, because I corrected her. AND Instead of admitting your fault, and just taking in the review to better your employees, you want to sit here and defend yourself and not even compensate. That says a lot about your business and your lack of urgency to fixing the issue in the future. It really sucks that you state, we gave you free delivery for our mistake, like that's a perk? At that point, next time, offer a full refund, and just apologize and say "we honestly forgot". it saves you time. Just realize we had a party witnessing this, so you lost 30 customers ‍ it was a very embarrassing experience with a group waiting on your cupcakes. So shame on you to sit here and defend yourself, BLAME YOUR CUSTOMER instead of apologizing and offering a new way to prevent this situation from happening again. read more

We love to come on the boulevard for our cupcakes. They do have plenty of parking as long as you don't come on a day where there's a farmers market or an event. They are close to Don Sal's. The owner is always so kind and sociable. She has helped me every time I come in, and I've turned into a regular. The larger location across the street they just moved to is bigger and brighter with a large display of what they have to offer. I cannot say enough about this lovely bakery. On the day of my daughter's birthday our cake order was canceled by another popular local bakery an hour and a half before I was due to pick it up. The owner sent a generic email offering an apology for the cancellation, but no solutions to resolve my issue. I had to go and physically pick up a blank cake for my daughter so she could have something on her birthday. On a whim I called Flora Donna's to see if she would be willing to turn this blank canvas into an actual birthday cake. She listened to my request and offered to help on a Saturday when they were actually closed. I sat with her for 45 minutes as she decorated this cake quickly and turned it into something so lovely; the Lego cake I originally ordered. She was gracious, kind, and I really cannot thank her enough for saving my daughter's birthday. She has now found a forever client. I really hate to leave this review because they've always been nice when I've come in during the farmers market... but today was horrible. My mom stopped to pick up cupcakes for my sister baby shower at 1:40pm... the baby shower was at 2. They proceeded to look around confused and then said ohhh we just have to decorate them.. my mom said uh the baby shower is at 2pm, they offered to drop off the cupcakes at the venue, my mom said okay when are they going to be there? They said around 2ish.. 2 came and went and no cupcakes... 2:30 rolled around, we called they said they would be there in 30 minutes. 30 minutes came and went, no cupcakes. Called again and they said "you just called 5 minutes ago" we told them actually no we didn't... it was 30 minutes ago. They then proceeded to say oh we're chilling them and then we're going to decorate them.... So they lied straight to my mom's face when she first went in to pick up the cupcakes, because they told her the cupcakes just needed to decorated, when in reality they had never even baked them.. Called them again and they said oh she left 10 minutes ago, should be there any minute... 10 more minutes go by, the waitress brings the cupcakes in... not even the girl from the bakery... they just dropped the cupcakes and took off. The cupcakes were decent but the frosting was melted and they kinda didn't look like the inspo pictures... Overall, it was just a crappy experience, they should have just been honest and told us they messed up and we would have been more understanding, but instead they beat around the bush and made themselves look like liars...not very good business practice at all... UPDATE since I can't respond to the owner directly on her message... Like I said in the beginning I really didn't want to leave a bad review but honestly the whole interaction was horrible... and your response was crap. You did lie right to my mom's face and said that all you had to do was decorate the cupcakes, but in reality you had to bake them still... she's 66 years old and has no reason to lie, and her friend was with her and also heard the whole thing sooo... And "We offered to deliver at no cost" uh yea... I would expect that after you guys messed up... so I'm not sure why you repeated that two or three times in your response... we appreciate you dropping off even though it was an hour and 30 minutes late... and you guys absolutely did say "you called 5 minutes ago" you were on speaker phone and everyone in the room heard it. Also, we did contact greenhouse cafe and they said they never told you that you couldn't come in to drop off the cupcakes, they said you left them at the counter and gave the name of the order and left. I understand mistakes happen, but like I said you lied instead of just admitting fault... it is what it is. We wouldn't have minded paying the other half for the cupcakes but you guys just dropped the cupcakes off and bounced... THIS PLACE!! O.M.G! Ok, so initially we had a little bump in the road but Ms. Nia was amazingly professional, heard me out and resolved the issue!! We booked them for our wedding earlier this month and my guests can't stop talking about the cupcakes! We ordered 13 different flavors from them and ALL OF them were a hit!! Cupcake bar was cleared out within minutes of opening. Bride and Groom didn't get to taste any but we heard they were delicious!!! OUR CAKE!!! Girl! you did not disappoint!!! During our cake tasting, Nia asked me what I wanted our cake to look like and I was like "...idk...a like a wedding cake? lol" (bad bride) so she gave me some homework to look up some "cake inspo" and when I found my "inspo", I immediately messaged her and was like "I want this, this, and this, but to look like that, take this out and put this in..." probably a baker's nightmare but she nailed it!!! We loved our cake! We got three tiers with our top and bottom layer being marble and our center tier being carrot! No crumbs were left and we at least got to try it!! Both were so delicious!! I am from Los Angeles and I have been going to this bakery location when it use to be called something else about 2 years now on and off. When ever I am in town I stop by to this location. The owners and staff are extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Even though I hardly go here consistently they still recognize me and welcome me with a warm greeting. Cupcakes are great and moist. Had it in the refrigerator for 2 days and the cup cakes were still moist. They have a great selection of cupcakes at hand as well as seasonal flavored cupcakes. They also sell cookies and hand pies that I haven't tried yet. If you enjoy caramel and chocolate, try the salted Carmel chocolate cupcake! Customer Service is great! Came here on a whim, was actually trying to avoid a crazy lady trying to stab people near the corner cafe (very weird day, but I'm glad the police got there in time). My son, who is a picky eater, was trying to take a bite of everyone's cupcake.... That's how good they are. I highly recommend them although it can be pricey. Their customer service is also very pleasing; when I asked about the flavors and types of pastries, the baker even partook in the conversation (at least I think he was a baker lol).... I tried crushing it with my fingers and I could barely break crumbs off. Trash. Pumpkin 'leftovers' in a cup, consisted of about half a cupcake, crumbs, but mostly frosting. I tried to eat around the frosting. Trash. Vegan brownie, tastes ok. A bit dry but the only decent edible thing so far. Banana pudding cup, smelled great! But that's it. Overall, it was a cup of cool whip, with two thin layers of banana pudding (with a paper thin layer on top). I had to spoon most of the whip out, to try and enjoy the pudding. No such luck.
