From the first appointment, they were patient, pulled some great options and helped out all my bridesmaids too. I had been to several bridal boutiques and just didn't find what I liked. They had a great selection and I had 3 of my bridesmaids get their dresses there too. They custom made my straps, ordered the lace from the supplier and called me as soon as it was in to start constructing them. I had a very specific vision and they helped bring it to life. Then came the dress fittings with Julie, she is one of the owners mother and she has the perfect eye to tailor that dress to fit you to a T. She was patient, fast, knowledgeable and so talented. We even brought our grooms suits there to have it tailored by Julie. I've had a wonderful experience there and would recommend it to all brides. It's not a fancy place bu any means but it's not pretentious either. I posted some photos because it was a labour of love from the girls at Saratina. Thank you Sara, Tina, Mandy and most of all Julie, my hubby loved the dress and it fit the France wedding wonderland.

And while I really don't like salespeople hovering over me, I'd still like help when needed (i.e. to have access to a change room when I find something I like). I arrived for my appointment on time, and didn't receive help/wasn't able to try anything on until 45 minutes later. It wasn't that the salesperson was intentionally avoiding me - it was honestly because there were too many people present at the same time, and she couldn't take me on right at my appointment time. But, the saving grace of this store were two things for me: a) their type of selection (you won't have David's Bridal type dresses here - some of the dresses were actually quite nice and unique) and b) their prices. Their off-the-rack dresses were 50% off the ticket price when I visited (mostly around Size 4 to Size 6), which I appreciated. I wanted a very luxe dress but with a not-so-luxe price, and this place actually had a decent collection at a reasonable price point (many under $1000). So, while their selection may be worth checking out, keep in mind that the store is very small and staff is limited, so visit with caution. Also note that the parking lot is super small/tight.

I loved the idea of a wedding dress having a second grand night, and with all profits going to charity it made it even better! I met with Emily and she was amazing. I had originally selected a few options to try on, but once I started telling her what I liked and didn't like she was able to provide me with options that were more suited to my taste. She ended up bringing a dress that wasn't even on the website yet and I fell in love immediately. It fit me so perfectly that I ended up only needing to get it shortened. Throughout the whole process I kept debating about the dress and put it on hold actually, but in the end I followed my gut and went with the most beautiful dress I tried on ever. Emily was such a rockstar through it all and really listened to me and my vision for the day even when I wasn't sure of what I wanted. She is like a fairy Godmother! I cannot recommend this place enough - one thing to note is that you do need to make an appointment. When I was there the first time, there was even someone from the States who came all the way to this store to find their dream dress (which they did). If you have been thinking of checking this place out, please do!

Since it wasnt my first store, I had an idea of what I like and dont like but there was still a large variety as compared to the other stores I had been to. Once I got there, Sabrina welcomed me in and showed me to my dressing room- two large mirrors with lighting that is so soft and perfect for dress fittings. She had my dresses set aside already and was not pushy at all. Before peeling the curtain back to show my guests, she'd always ask how I felt in it first; I thought this was a nice touch and reminder of reflection to myself. The store itself is a little small, but has two changerooms. The changeroom lighting is very pretty but I do wish there was more natural lighting. Sabrina would encourage me to stand at the front of the shop where there were mirrors in front of the windows, definitely helped to see it there. Overall great experience!

We were met up with the stylist, Claire I believe. She was quick from the beginning, she got the dresses ready before hand as my friend had told her what styles she liked couple days ago via email. The stylist was very knowledgeable and easy to approach and ask questions. The hour flew by very quickly and I enjoyed helping my friend pick what suits her best on her style and personality. She chose her best two. But we all knew she wasn't planning on buying her dress today. Great experience with amazing stylist. Definitely worth the drive as they have great service and beautiful bridal dresses.

On my first visit, I was mainly looking for a mother of the bride dress when I saw a gorgeous red dress on sale. Just HAD TO try it on and ended up buying it! I have a bit of a short timeframe before my wedding so I was a little nervous, but they had a huge selection of sample dresses (mostly bridal size 12). I saw one that I absolutely loved which was also within my budget so I just knew I had to make an appointment to come back! The day of my appointment, I suddenly had to push up my appointment time but they were very accommodating. My consultant was Monica and she was so friendly and she really made me feel at ease. It was like It was really nice that she also tried to engage my entourage while I was changing. The changing room is very spacious with good lighting and I loved the dramatic curtain open for the dress reveal! I also liked how they also let you walk to the front near the windows to see it in natural lighting as colour is fairly important to me. Monica was so patient, I never felt rushed or pressured. I had tried on so many dresses that day, and it was a little overwhelming as it was also my 3rd appointment of the day so I decided to take some time to think about it. I went back the next week after narrowing it down between 2 dresses from 2 different stores and felt like I needed to retry them. I'm so lucky to get Monica again, I felt like she was really trying to help me find MY dress instead of just trying to sell to me. She gave me options for alterations for the other dress I liked from the other store and even let me tried on something similar, which really helped me decide! I ended up saying YES to the dress I fell in love with during my first visit and couldn't be happier! Can't wait to get married in it. Highly recommended to all brides to be!

My Mom had suggested "THE ONE"- which ended up being the last one I tried on. I feel horrible that I can't remember the woman who took care of me since we were together in the fitting room for at least an hour (me being mostly naked). She was awesome and had no problem when I wanted to try "THE ONE" on again even though it was a tie-up bodice. My Mom and I decided to take a break for lunch before making a decision. Because I had started my search for a dress so late in the game (apparently 6 months is boreline rush order status) we had to make a decision that day before heading to Montreal. Luckily my sister lives in Toronto and was able to zip over to help us out. We went back to Vogue Sposa and I tried "THE ONE" on again and my sister & mom were near tears.. thats when I knew. I've bought my dress! I thought I would wait until the end…read moreof the dress process to update my review, but doubt much will change. During my 6 months searching for a dress, I came back here quite a few times and always worked with Mackenzie. I came back for a total of 5 times for different reasons, trying on 1 single dress to see how I feel, and full blown dress picking appointment. Mackenzie was always patient and we got along well. It gets really busy here on the weekends, and it really affects your experience here. I came by once to try a specific dress, which I told them and called ahead of time. Not only was M. not there (on her lunch), but someone was supposed to sub for her. We waited 15 mins for someone, and finally they let me in, but they could not find the dress I specified. They even brought me a different one than I had called in for (the file had the name, and it was correct). I wasn't pleased. The day I finally came to buy the dress, with my mom, 2 friends and the MiL, they got me in the dress, then left me for at least 10+mins. There were so many awkward situations where I don't know where M. had disappeared to and why things were taking so long. I also got some ideas for Veils from the guy that makes it. I found his attitude a little abrasive, and rude. It's not my fault I don't know how to look at the veil and adjust the mirrors! They make Veils in house and they range from $100-400. The entire appointment that day took about 1.5 hours, but a lot of it was standing around. I decided to buy the dress here, because they were one of few in Toronto that carried it, plus it was in a convenient location, and I've bothered them so much already. I get 10% off for taking the dress offsite to alter, and I decided to do this - they will back up the alterations in case anything will go wrong, also since they are so busy, I don't want to have to have a bad experience. I can't imagine anything else will happen from now until I pick up the dress. So there it is! --- Edit: so when I went to pick up my dress, I had to actually make an appointment, which was a little strange to me, given that I paid for it already, and physically just picking it up. I was told this was necessary so that someone can greet me and have the dress ready. When I got there on what seemed to be a quiet Friday afternoon, there was no one to greet me. Finally someone came and saw me, and went to the back to get my dress. She disappears for about 5 mins, and another women back from break walks in an sees me standing there. Checks me in, a 2nd time, and goes to the back to look for my dress. This boggles my mind because I was so sternly told that I needed to make an appointment, and yet, neither a person nor my dress was ready. Finally she came, and I picked up my dress. Just a word of warning I guess.

Our consultant, Linda, paid really great attention to us and helped us find some amazing stuff. Found an amazing dress, but this is when we ran into a 'hiccup'. I had another appointment to go to that day, but Beckers wouldn't let us take a picture of the dress that I loved, and THE TAG HAD ALSO BEEN REMOVED so I couldn't see the designer name. I know that this is to ensure that I don't look for it cheaper somewhere else, but this is horrible customer service practice. Miraculously, I was still able to find the dress at the next appointment and compare it when I found another one I loved just as much, and ended up buying my dress at the other shop. If they had let me take a picture of it and I had decided that I liked the dress I first tried on at Beckers best, I would have gone back to purchase it but because they were unhelpful regarding this important aspect, I wouldn't have.

We…read morewere actually at the other salon when one of my bridesmaids called Bridal Desires, told them that we were having a very poor experience and could they take us that afternoon? They readily accepted the appointment and my bridesmaid surprised me by telling me they'd found another place for us to go. When we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the staff and they gave me a quick tour of the store while the girls and my mom looked around a bit. I was introduced to my consultant, Mandy, who showed my girls and my mom to our semi-private room, and then took me out onto the floor to discuss what I wanted. I will say, I definitely appreciated the semi private room. the only thing that didn't make it totally private was the lack of a door, but really, doesn't make a difference!! I felt like I had the store to myself and it was lovely to not have to be on parade for a bunch of strangers. Mandy and I discussed my budget and the type of dress I was looking for (no lace, very sparkly, different and fit and flare style) and she showed me a few things to gauge what I liked and didn't like. She showed me back to the room and very politely told me 'we're going to get to know each other real well today! what size bra are you' and informed me that the strapless bra I was wearing wasn't going to be enough support for me (she was right). She got me fitted into a corset and then we started trying on dresses. There are a ton of "best parts" of this visit: 1) Mandy did me up into every single dress - every single loop was done up and she actually put me INTO the dress and pulled them tight so I knew what I was getting into 2) She made sure I had a grand entrance with every single dress, she would pull back the curtains and ask my ladies "are you ready?!" and then I'd get to enter and get up on the pedestal 3) The pedestal is KEY, you need the extra height because the dresses are longer (I'm only 5'6") and it really helped to highlight the shape of the dress and how it would fall 4) She put me in a variety of dresses, even some I would have never considered trying. It was nice to see myself in something different than I'd envisioned and it made me realize how many options I had. 5) The rooms had dimmers, so when I came out in the super sparkly dresses, she dimmed the lights a bit so you could see how it would look at the reception. I loved this because it wasn't the standard florescent lighting and it helped to highlight the details of each dress 6) I didn't have to wait to be jacked up. Mandy immediately brought in belts and earrings and held them up so I could get a whole look. She also put my hair up with the first dress so that it was back from my face for every dress I tried on. I found my dress that afternoon and purchased it on the spot. I can't say enough about how wonderful Bridal Desires was for my wedding dress. We returned a few months later to purchase my bridesmaids dresses and unfortunately, Mandy wasn't available. The other consultants were good but not as good as Mandy and I felt like they weren't as focused on us. However, my bridesmaids dresses turned out gorgeous and the girls were all happy too.
