Lovely bridal boutique located at Don Mills and York Mills. It is on the smaller side, but I like that it's more private. Eliza, the bridal consultant, is very lovely. I told her what I liked and disliked and she made sure to pull all the dresses that fit my criteria. She helped me get in and out of all the dresses. Because it's a smaller boutique, I do find their selection smaller. However, they do have trunk shows where they get more dresses from a particular designer. I went for the Enzoani trunk show and the discounts were very significant (almost 25% off!). Enzoani has beautiful, very detailed and well made dresses, so this was a big deal! Unfortunately, I didn't end up getting my dress here because I didn't find the one. But the service and boutique were very nice! read more

I had a really great experience at Camellia! I went during Covid restrictions so it was by appt only and there was only one other bride during my time slot. Since it was a pretty small boutique, this was great! The dresses were organized by price range, so it was really easy to navigate and look for dresses to try on. An organized store is really great, especially if you have a limited time for your appt! My consultant was also really nice and attentive. The boutique was really small so there were not a lot of options for me, as I was looking for something specific and with a lower budget. The only reason why I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I spent time doing a questionnaire prior to the appt, but it doesn't seem like anything was done with that information. Before i came here i did zero research about bridal shops. I just knew a couple friends that came here and they actually did not comment about the shop but i came here because i didn't know where else to go. After reading all the humiliating stories from fellow brides on yelp about other bridal shops, i consider myself lucky that Camellia was amazing! When you're shopping for your dress and planning your wedding, the LAST thing you need is a snobby, unhelpful and rude dress consultant! My first wedding dress appointment was with Shabellia (?) who was extremely kind, patient and friendly. My second appointment was with Joanna who was the same. The staff here is very nice and made my dress shopping experience really enjoyable! They were always happy to answer all of my questions without me feeling intimidated or stupid to ask questions which was how i felt at another store i went to. The only thing i did not like about Camellia is that they do not allow photos unless you purchase the dress which i understand is a business tactic. Even though i didn't like that i came back as i enjoyed the service. Joanna stayed with me for one hour passed their closing time but did not rush me at all! My appointment lasted 2+ hours. I have been to six bridal gown shops so far and would say Camellia is just "okay". I was initially attracted by their collection of Sophia Tolli gowns, which is one of the designer labels that I really liked during my research on dresses. I made an appointment several weeks ahead of time and was promptly confirmed by email. My friend and I arrived in the store and indicated that we are here for my bridal gown appointment. The dress consultant was confused at first because she thought we were coming for bridesmaid dresses. She had to take some time to clear the gown changing area as there is a giant mannequin occupying the space that I was supposed to be using. After that I picked out about five gowns to try on. Unfortunately she brought only two of the dresses and one that I didn't pick out. Unlike other stores that use a pedestal for brides to step on while they try on dresses, I was instead offered a pair of five-inch platform shoes which were uncomfortable. The consultant was tentative enough to help me with changing in and out of the dresses, but it was still fairly uncomfortable and I had a hard time appreciating the dresses. She also lingered too much on each dress rather than letting me try on more dresses so I got the feeling that she didn't want me to pick out more gowns. After trying on my first pick again, my friend and I left the store and went for dinner. The store is not horrible, but it would not be my first pick. I went to Camellia Wedding Gown looking for accessories for my dress, and I almost wished I found it before I got my dress elsewhere! The collection was absolutely beautiful and amazingly priced! It was the first time I walk into a bridal shop and either like or love every single dress. But what's more important than the collection itself was the service you get and kindness you feel as soon as you step in! I found everything I needed there (headpiece, veil, some alterations and some complimentary cleaning and tweaks just because they're SWEET and AWESOME..oh and a dress for my sister!) everything was just perfect and complimented my dress perfectly. They literally went the extra mile to help me on such a short notice, I had to go away for my wedding soon after I found them, they managed to do everything on time and even packed my dress in a tiny carry on with all my precious accessories. I had a good experience with this store. Mia was a lovely sales associate who helped me multiple times. She was patient and kind to me and my mom, and listened very well to our preferences. Other staff were helpful as well. The only concern I had is that the dress size ran smaller than the measurements - but this is more of a designer issue than the store. The dress I ordered ended up fitting very tightly at the bust - zipping it up took some effort - we managed to make it fit okay in the end by losing some weight - I guess wedding dresses are supposed to fit super tight. Unlike other shops that I visited, they also have the sample dresses in petite size so I could see how the dresses fit much better. After 4 months of searching for my wedding gown, I was about to give up. I had tried on designer dresses and still hadn't found the right one. After a disappointing appointment one afternoon, my mom out of the blue remembered that a new store for wedding dresses had opened in the area. When we walked in, I was impressed by the wide selection of custom gowns. When I tried on my dress, I loved it except for one aspect that didn't quite fit my style. This little boutique is a gem , it is so beautifully and glamorously put together that it truly gives you a royal experience. The decor,ambience and friendly helpful staff made my journey a memorable one. The most wonderful part about this place is that everything is so structured and organized, dresses are no jammed or cramped up on hangers they are all aligned in such a delicate way that gives you a very easy and peaceful feeling when browsing through their collection. They also have 2 very beautiful fitting rooms and take brides in by appointment so that the time you spend ether is exclusive to you , you dont feel rushed or frustrated by other people distracting the staff from your moment.I am really happy with choosing this place , i literally walked in tried on a handful of dress and decided on the one . They also have racks according to pricing and if you have a budget in mind you dont have to go through thousands of dresses you can go the the rack that suits your needs, which is pretty cool and less tiring by comparison to some wedding places that takes you 20 min just to pull the dress out from the bunch.
