This bridal shop is located in Markham on Kennedy road across from Miliken community centre. They have two shops, the main building and the outlet store. When I entered the main shop, it was decorated beautifully and has two floors of wedding dresses. The whole place looked so amazing! The dressing room was huge, and looked bigger than a room in most condos. You get the whole dressing room to yourself to change in privacy, and there's a separate big waiting room for your guests to see the dress when you're ready. I was hoping to have Carlo as my consultant, but I saw him helping with another appointment instead on the same floor. I can tell he's very passionate, and can hear his voice making suggestions from the other rooms. I had Beverly as a consultant, and she was very friendly, helpful, and not pushy. I didn't have a huge budget for dresses, but she still treated me nicely and offered some great recommendations. I appreciated how she helped me with each dress, and was always positive and never impatient. Hard to deal with my opinionated family sometimes! I got to see a wide variety of dresses, and a better idea which styles look best. I didn't end up making a purchase on my first visit, but do plan on returning if needed as I'm still on the hunt for the right dress! One thing to note is I didn't like how they have a flat fee of $850 for alterations (heard it used to be $600 in the past), for everyone regardless. I wish they offer a variable fee, depending on how many alterations you need! There is the option to just buy the dress, and get it altered elsewhere though. I didn't end up getting my dress here but I still wanted to give this place a great rating because I think this place has one of the biggest selection of gowns. The only reason why I didn't end up getting my dress here was that I couldn't try on the dresses I wanted to compare at the same time. I actually came here for two appointments, the first was with Elena and the second was with Carlo. I honestly enjoyed working with Carlo more but Elena is also super knowledgeable and nice. I just think Carlo was super fun to work with and honestly if I didn't have two dresses I was debating and they had both to try on I probably would of ended up making a decision here. I just knew I wanted to get my dress ordered as soon as possible and when I finally knew I bought it at that store. I will say though I really appreciate Carlo and highly recommend working with him because as a plus Bride he really found dresses that worked with what I was looking for and even called me to follow up when a dress came in that he thought I'd love. I could not be more thankful for that. One last thing to note. Loved this place because of efficiency, I feel like I was able to try on a lot of gowns here. If you're anything like me and can change quickly and are looking to see more without the extra 'having your consultant place the dress down for you to get in and slip up' (which does take time each set up) this might be your place to go to. I personally didn't mind having to get into the dresses myself and then them clip me in afterwards. Also appreciated them being outside the dressing room (some stores are in there with you lol). Yes, yes, yes. I'm saying yes to this dress...store. Pop the champagne, cry on your mom's shoulder. This is the one! I had such a spectacular and fun experience here, I'm pretty sure it spoiled all my other dress-fitting experiences. To be fair, I didn't really give the others a fighting chance because after going to Superior (my first boutique), my heart had already settled on a dress. Oops! I live in Markham so Superior was a nice, close choice for me to start the arduous dress selection process back in November. It's a cozy little place, family-run, and I immediately felt at ease among the flurry of tulle and lace. They've got A LOT of dresses. Plenty of options for every kind of bride. The upstairs area is filled with more dresses and it's where you change (no men allowed). You might have some consultants coming in to grab dresses but that's why they tell you to come in with a tank top on. Elena took care of me for my appointment and she was the best! She listened to what I wanted, didn't oversell me, and was so professional and friendly. She got me in and out of dresses at lightning speed and threw in a couple surprises just so I could get the full spectrum of what looked good on me. When I went back to finalize my decision, she let me waddle from room to room to check out how the dress looked under different lighting. When I called in a frenzy 3 months afterwards because I had ordered a size down, super confident that I'd bootcamp my ass into that dress, and then realized it's pretty freakin' hard, she assured me that it wouldn't be a problem and alterations can take care of everything. The superior service (haha) didn't stop after the sale. For my first official fitting, Vi was the one who helped me out. She was lovely and answered all of our questions with a smile. The dress fit practically perfectly so I didn't need to use their $400 fixed-price alteration services. I never once felt pressured into spending that money and they were super understanding. Btw for those saying how expensive $400 is, this is all-inclusive, so depending on how many alterations you want to do (especially for the length which is very labour-intensive), this could be a steal. You can also make the decision whether to alter with them after your first fitting. FYI, Kleinfeld's alterations are $1000+, just for a bit of perspective. Sorry, this was a long one. I just can't stop raving about this place. It's a shame I only get to shop for wedding dresses once because Elena and crew made it such a smooth experience. Thank you Superior Bridal for my dream wedding dress!!! As someone very petite, pretty much every dress is too big for me. I paid for the alterations provided by Superior, which included unlimited fittings and alterations until I am satisfied! I had many alterations done to the dress I purchased including adding extra layers, shortening, tucking in, etc. One week before the wedding I had a fitting and they noticed I was tripping a little bit when I walk so they reshortened it again and had it ready for me within days! A great place to look for that special dress. The staff is very nice and they are pretty organized but it was really busy when we went. Even though we had booked an appointment, we had to wait a good fifteen minutes before our sales rep was ready for us. That was the one negative thing. Everything else was great. After seeing Superior Bridal pop up all over Instagram and Facebook, I decided to make an appointment, especially since I saw that had a Black Friday sale coming up. The pictures online and reviews made it seem worth checking out - even with it being a far drive for me. First thing to note, Superior Bridal has 2 buildings (houses), that they work out of on a property. I thought it would be located in a plaza or something, considering the area. Nonetheless, the property and both buildings were well kept. The only issue with this that I found was the "main house" was were they kept their pricey dresses, and anything under 2k was in their smaller discounted house. So you can't really get a mix of dresses since they're in completely different houses. Oddly, I was the only appointment of the morning so when I walked in, the employees were standing around the main reception desk. Not that it matters, but to paint a picture they were all much older women working (60+), and I know they must have a ton of years of experience, but for what their social media shows, I was expecting a more younger consultant group that I could relate to. Not sure if age comes into play much, but I found they were not willing to look around for many options for me, were slower in general, and didn't help me much in actually trying on the dresses. I was taken to the discounted house, which was packed with dresses. They said it was packed because they had a sample sale the weekend before and haven't had time to clean up yet (a full week..?). I was brought to only 1 room because of the particular style I asked for, and wasn't given the option to look around in the other 2-3 rooms. My mother & I had to go into the main room and search through racks and racks to find at least 1 other dress to try on. The consultant basically sat on the bench in our room the entire time, only helping me in/out of half the dresses (that's when my mom eventually helped because she also realized the consultant wasn't getting up to help me out of my dress). The only thing the consultant would say was how "good" I looked in EVERY dress, and they were all "THE ONE". I mean, maybe 1-2 could've looked good, but every single one??? I don't even think 1 of them looked flattering for my body shape.. I felt like she just wanted to make a quick sell without doing any work. I didn't feel special at all at this dress store. Which is unfortunate, because their social media paints a picture of them being a top store. I also did NOT like the fact that I had to keep my leggings & bra on the entire time, and change in front of the consultant and my mom.. with the door wide open. I can't imagine how awkward it could've been if I had a larger party with me, or if the store was busy. I know I'm still in a bra/leggings, but that's still uncomfortable to be in around strangers. Also, not sure how anyone can gauge what a dress will look like on when they're wearing a bra AND pants?! Nothing fit me correctly because of it. What an amazing experience at Superior! Prior to being engaged i always drove by this little house on kennedy and never thought of anything by it... but after reading so many reviews and actually coming into the store i am so glad i bought my wedding dress from here!!! I had Elena as my consultant and she was so FUN!!!! SHE made my wedding dress shopping experience so worth while and great. She was honest about the different style of dresses i tried on and was a great listener in understanding what i wanted and what i dont like. The store itself has SO many different bridal dresses from petite to larger sample sizes as well. But be warn... whoever you are going with to view the dress will also being seeing you topless! There are no change rooms so you have to change on the spot.. but only girls are allowed upstairs to the consultations room so it wasnt any issue to me. Great dresses and great prices. I am delighted with superior bridal!!! After just 4 months my dress is here!!!! :D Had my first fitting.... it's the most beautiful thing ever! Customer service was excellent as always. I had Elena this time.. but all the staff here are just genuinely nice & wonderfull. I will highly recommend any bride to check this place out. Appointments necessary. We had to wait 10 mins cuz they were very busy. But we browsed around and got some ideas for my mom's outfit. I'm so impressed w/ Vi as she ordered me the perfect size...I don't really need alterations at all ! Photos were allowed on this visit since I had already purchased the dress. They even added the blusher (veil) for me at no extra charge (I bought a cathedral veil at 50% off on the last visit). I'm super happy and can't wait till the big day! This bridal shop is a converted home turned shop. It's just off the road by Kennedy so make sure to open your eyes or you will blink and miss it! Bonus for the shop that parking is on site- so no paid parking needed! When you arrive in the layout is a little chaotic. The main floor has all bridesmaid dresses and accessories. The second floor there are separate rooms filed with wedding gowns. Our consultant took us upstairs into a room with multiple dresses inside already. Make sure to bring someone your comfortable getting naked in front of because the room is where everything happens. The plus thing is everything fit nicely. However, it seemed to me that all the dresses were covered in lace that just looked very vintage and nothing with a modern touch. When I asked for a modern look and less lace, I was put in something with old looking lace and no bling or modern image to it. The consultant was nice but didn't seem to care what the bride was looking for. On top of this, they have a flat rate of 450 alteration charge. Which doesn't make sense to me because some of the dresses all I would need done is a hem job. So it seems to be where all the money is made is from alterations. Been to several shops already but I finally found my dress here. Elena helped me pick my dress. Even though I was very picky and indecisive, she was very attentive and gave me honest advices on dresses. Price range of dresses were average - mostly btw $1500-3000 (they do have more expensive ones if you request). Few things that I liked about this boutique were: 1) similar dress styles were cheaper here than other downtown boutiques. (Id say about $250-300 cheaper) 2) more dresses to choose from 3) Elena gives you good suggestions and brings you styles that you never thought of trying on but which turns out to be beautiful. read more

I had a world of trouble finding a dress and a number of not so great experiences with bridal stores around the gta- I probably tried on close to 100 dresses. My friend Annie recommended I go to superior before giving up- and I'm so glad I did! This is the 3rd boutique I went to during my search for a Wedding Dress.. Upon coming in, there is an immediate premium feel upon this place. The bridal shop is a house, lots of space, lots of gowns on display, and very friendly staff. Vi was assigned to assist me and she was so helpful. You know when a consultant is really good when the first dress she helps you try on is the BEST one of the bunch! During the 1 hour appointment, we were able to try 6 dresses and all the ones she showed me completely matched what I was looking for (in looks)! Dress prices are above average and the least expensive line they carry is Mori Lee. Dresses range from $1500 ++. Alterations cost $500+ (as Vi has told me). Definitely try coming in when they have Trunk Shows as they could give you up to $200 off the designer's dress when you buy during that period. Minus 1 star, as I did come in with a specific budget but the dresses that were presented to me were at least $3,000 above my budget. But it wasn't a wasted time, as I know now how much quality you get if you are ready to spend more $$$ for a wedding dress. read more

I had a great experience at Superior Bridal. Upon arrival, i immediately liked the store layout, it was intimate and less over whelming (unlike the larger stores like Kleinfelds). I was introduced to Elena and after telling her a little bit about myself she already had my style pegged. I also liked that she did not try and up sell, or pressure me into buying the dress even though my wedding date is not too far away. To start off, my experience at Superior Bridal was no bad. It started off extremely well and the consultant was super friendly and nice. We shared ideas and brainstormed for a bit till we both picked out 2 gowns for me to get started. I tried on about 6-8 gowns during this appointment. Mid way, I slowly realizing that she was full on hard selling me and her opinions of dresses on me was once genuine and no longer... When I was on my last dress, it blew me away. The style and fit was very pretty but this was never the style of dress that I ever imagined of wearing. Then she kept pushing me to compare this and with one of the contender that was set aside. She was talking so much that I later said the contender was a "no". She then asked me "what do you think of the dress?": Whats wrong with it?""soo......?" etc. without really letting me to soak me, I want to take it all in and vision myself with this dress! I then said I need more opinions and time and maybe I will come in at a later time and that was when she changed. She started cleaning the room, not helping me to take off my dress. When one of the girl walked in and asked if she needed help and she would say "no". Finally when she unclipped the dress off of me, I held onto the dress to pass it to her but she didn't take it from me but instead kept tidying up the room. WHAT PISSED ME OFF was the fact when another girl knocked to come in and grab the dress she needs for her client, she said we were done like kicking me out the door . FIRST of all, I was still half naked holding the dress for her to take, not dressed; FINE, then she literally carried her dresses that she was tidying up and WALKED out on me with the DOOR OPEN. That was it. As a customer, I expect customer service to be welcomed especially from a professional, expertise bridal place. I am truly disappointed and felt bitter after how rude she was to me. Her altitude changed 180 and now thinking back, her intention was never to be helpful, all was just for her to make her sales for the day. I will not be a returning customer. read more

I just wanted to say that Superior Bridal performed a miracle for my best friend. She had ordered her dress from a Bridal Salon in Woodbridge that came in 4 months after she ordered it in the wrong colour. When the shop tried to order her another one, the manufacturer said that they would get her another dress a week before her wedding...obviously unacceptable since alterations, etc still needed to be done. We called around several shops around the Toronto area to see if they had the same dress on the rack but they gave us the same story...the dress would not come in until November. However, when we called Superior Bridal and told them the situation, they said to leave it with them to see what they could do. Literally a half an hour later, Vera called me back and said that they could order the dress in the size and the colour that she wanted and that it would be delivered in 2 weeks. We didn't believe it until my friend got the call that the dress was in. Not only was it exactly what she wanted, the dress was several hundred dollars cheaper and they were able to do the alterations on the spot. Came here with my MOH. Brides, know that the dresses here are $1200 and up. If you're looking on a budget this is not the place for you. Alterations alone are $450 flat fee! Outrageous. They push the alterations on you as well, and try to convince you it's cheaper to buy the dress and have them alter it (guess what? It's not). A bridesmaid dress rush ordered here is $1000. $1000! They have two houses: one with beautiful gowns from what I saw (pricier) and one house that's all clearance. In their clearance house their cheapest dress is $600 +$450 for alterations + taxes= at least $1100. Be warned: clearance house is disorganized, stale smelling with no ventilation, and you're not allowed to pick you own dress. We had Vera, who had the worst taste in dresses. The consultant leads u to a room, makes you wait 10 mins between each dress she fetches, and then will proceed to tell you condescending things like things like "this is very high fashion, it's out of Paris...that's Venetian silk...it's high class and elegant...the peplum is so in right now". She gave me three dresses, each uglier than the last. Was t particularly helpful and wasn't a very good listener. The receptionist- when I called and asked about their inventory for dresses in my price range she said it was possible. She basically lied to me, as I would not have gone otherwise to try on two dresses from the 90s. Also when I showed up she was rude to me as well. This wasn't the place for me but from what I saw they had a fair selection of BM dresses (half of the first floor) and wedding dresses (1rack), as well as shoes and accessories (1/3 of first floor). So it could be a good stop if you aren't on a budget, the wedding dresses on the rack were gorgeous and all started at $2k. read more

All those horrible reviews about this store are true! I found my dress here and price matched it at a store that deserves my business. Superior was the fourth dress shop that I visited. They have many of the brands I like, such as Essense of Australia and Maggie Sottero, and their prices are very reasonable. This is what got me coming here in the first place, aside from the fact that it's only 10 minutes from my house. What turned me off about this place is the lack of customer service. One of the staff, and I think she's the horrible daughter of the mother who owns the store, pretty much pressured me into the very first dress she put me in. It was a beautiful Allure mermaid dress that accentuated my curves but it just wasn't the dress. When I asked to tried on a few other dresses, one of which was an Essense dress that I've tried on before, she dismissed my preference for the dress (partly due to her preference for the Allure dress and it being more expensive) and insisted that I should consider a veil or else I'm going to look back year later and regret it even though I was upfront about not wanting a veil. I was not happy when she disrespected my decision. Aside from this, her attitude got even worse when she heard from my MoH that I want to try as many different dresses as possible. She was very reluctant to find me dresses that I asked for and when she brought me the dresses, they were not even close to what I've asked. After realizing I wasn't getting anywhere with her, my entourage and I left in disappointment. Couple of other things I didn't like about this store: - lack of privacy: there is no "change room". You pretty much have to change in front of whoever you are bringing to the store so you better feel comfortable being naked around them - noisy: the other sales people were on the phone and were really loud during my appointment. One of the ladies even took her call in the same changing space as me so that her client is not disturbed - expensive alterations - they have a flat fee of $450. Not worth it if your alteration is minor The good news: I was able to price match the Essense dress I want with a store in Woodbridge whose service there was far superior than Superior Bridal. So ladies, you can try your dress here, but I would recommend taking your business elsewhere! read more

Before coming here, I heard a horror story from one I know, but then seeing these stellar reviews, Yelpers can't really steer me that wrong. It was hard to find, if you're not looking for it. Luckily, the girls and I had dim sum at Fancy Chinese across the street, and coming here was easy. It was an old refurbished house turned into rail on the side of the street. Without knowing what was inside, it was a little creepy. We were greeted by the owner of the boutique. One side had shoes and accessories (lots and lots of bling everywhere). The other side had Mom's, flower girls and BMs dresses. She took us up to I believe one of the bigger rooms to try things on. There was no partition or curtain, and she told us I would be changing right there in front of everyone. When I made a face, she's like "well you're wearing more than you would at the beach". I'm like, yeah, but the door is open. .... (there is a sign saying no men allowed...) I started taking my pants off, and she said leave them on. Turns out, you try on with your pants. I guess it doesn't make much of a difference, just a little strange. It may give you more of a waist than you'd like, so if you're worried, wear some leggings when you're here. I had a few in mind, including one that I had tried at a different store. Seeing my taste, she did bring one dress that was quite a contender. The dress, which I tried on at another store for some reason was not as well maintained as the version I tried on. It seemed like a completely different dress! And if I didn't know what it COULD look like, I wouldn't even consider this. Disappointing a little. I noticed that they just drag the dresses around, and not take particularly good care of them. Just seemed like it. The only thing I really hated about the experience, was how we were in a room that ALSO contained dresses. Not only was it that it was hard for us to choose our own (then how do you know?), but also other sales ladies would come in an pick up their own dresses. It was okay at first, but there were three people at one time in the room, and they were talking so loud BESIDE ME i couldn't think, and answer the questions my sales person was asking me. I really hated that. We went downstairs to try on BMs dresses. Didn't seem like you needed an appointment for that, and it was a free for all. I didn't mind, but would love the consultation instead of wasting time on our own. The dresses were mainly in one corner, and it was cramped, especially with one mirror and more than one group around. All the dresses and hangers were tangled up with each other too, and it was hard to grab things. They all looked terrible on the hanger, but okay on person. i would say, if you're in the area, worth checking out. Compared with Ritche, they have the same range. $1000 -$15,000. But I have to say that she didn't show me a lot of dresses. Maybe because I had already gone to a few places and was picky for what I want. This place was my third stop on the search for a wedding dress search tour and to be honest with you, I wasn't expecting to find my dress at all, but find I did. And while I did find MY dress during a first visit - I came back quite a few times before I was like 100% sure Superior Bridal is a premium dealer for Provnovias dresses. The service here is pretty friendly, although I'm not so much in love with the state of their parking lot, which leaves a lot to be desired - as in it isn't really paved with a few potholes here and there - but it is a minor detail. So Superior Bridal is pretty much how some of the other reviewers had described, it is a house and I'll be honest with you there isn't much of a cool, calm ambiance to it a la the boutiques in the city. Alterations are steep $450, but they do all alterations. I will be honest with you, if your dress is simple and very clean lines, you should take it else where to get it altered. I didn't bother only because I had stuff that was fairly complicated and my dress had a lace overly, which need to be altered carefully, so I paid up for the alterations. Now, the dresses are pricey, but they were willing to accommodate me by breaking up my payments into a bit more of a digestible chuck, but they do ask you to pay off the dress before you go for your first fitting. I had Elena with most of my interactions, but the others on staff are on the older side, so they might not get a younger set sensibility or taste. I would suggest taking a look at what types of dress with visual examples saved on your phone to show them to give them a more clear idea of what you are looking for. Keep an eye on their website, as they have trunk shows from some of the major bridal gowns, Maggie Sottaro and Pronovias, so you might be able to pick up a style that they might not usually stock. read more

A very good friend of mine had bought her wedding dress here and I was told it was very affordable so this was the first place I went in search of my wedding dress. Reservations are definitely required, and this little house randomly on the street by itself can leave you wondering whether or not it is actually legit. I walked in early one morning to a ground floor full of colour dresses for bridesmaids and mothers. I was brought to a room upstairs where there were closets full of gowns, all jammed together that there was no way I could even search for a style or dress that was in my mind. The lady was very helpful with asking my questions about what type of dress I was looking for, style and price range. After that, she went off searching. Not sure where but I assumed there were more dresses in another room. She was every helpful in selecting dresses that I would like, one that I thought was the dress of my dreams. But let me warn you ladies... Do not let the joy of pretty dresses take you over. Be sure you know what you want, and don't worry about going home, thinking about it, google searching, comparing prices etc. The dress I thought I absolutely loved was exactly the opposite. Thank god for my mother who gave me a complete reality check, I did some more research, looked at more photos, and was sooooo glad I did not make an impulse decision to buy. The woman were super nice, and I was glad I came because this place is definitely one with better sevice. However I wish it was a little bit more organized so I can see what other dresses were offered instead of relying on them to pick them out for me based on what I had told them. read more

I first came to Superior Bridal with my BMs to look for my dress and theirs. While the BMs were trying on dresses, one of the ladies asked one of my BMs why she had only tried 1 dress. She replied that it was the only one in size XYZ; the rest were too small. The lady said that was impossible because they never carry such large sizes. When she checked the label and found it was indeed XYZ, she remarked that they must have ordered that by mistake because they never order dresses that big. I thought that was incredibly rude and off-putting and we left shortly. Fast forward a few months and we're now less than 5 months away for the wedding (read: not enough time to order a dress by most salons' standards) and the arrangements I had in place for my dress suddenly fall through. I was panicking and Googled "Toronto Bridal Gown clearance", or something to that effect. The first hit was for a 4-day sample sale at Superior Bridal, starting the next day, so despite our first experience, I was desperate and went back with my mom the next evening. The samples were all size 8-12 and being a street size 0 (or so), it seemed I was out of luck. But then I was told that the type of dress I was looking for (lace) could easily be altered to my size! I tried 3 on, we easily picked one out and selected a matching sash and veil. The dress was a 2011 style, so it was already 3+ years old and was discounted ~$700 (just less than 40%). It was advertised that dresses were up to 70% off, so I'm guessing styles that were even older were discounted that heavily. They also reduced the price of the sash and veil, both by about 50%, without me asking. I booked my fitting a few months out and booked my hair and makeup trials for the same day so I could get a good idea of the whole look. One hour prior to my fitting (and after my hair and MU trials were already complete), they called to say that the alterations hadn't been started yet and could we reschedule for tomorrow? I was a little upset because I could've rescheduled the trials if I had had more notice but my mom suggested that we go anyway and see how it all looked pinned up. While there, they asked to reschedule a week out (what happened to tomorrow?) Like others mentioned, alterations are a flat fee of $400-$450, which will seem steep if you don't need much done. For me, however, I was practically changing the entire dress, so it was a steal! We changed it from a size 10 to 0, made a sweetheart neckline, removed the eyelash lace, modified the mermaid fit, had bra cups sewn in (which they included), added buttons along the entire back of the dress (extra for buttons), changed the back to a deep V, changed corset closure to hidden zipper, added internal corset, added a bustle, had the sash sewn in ... and perhaps other things I've forgotten. The final dress looked nothing like the original, but was exactly what I wanted but couldn't find anywhere else! Their bridal, BM and MOB dress selection is massive, as is their jewelry selection, but I found their dress jacket selection very limited, which was problematic because we had a cold spring. The bridal dresses range from affordable to (around $1000, give or take) to very high end (the most expensive one I tried on was $8,000 and I'm sure they had higher). Unlike many other businesses, I also found that once they had my money (paid in full on the first day), they were friendlier and more helpful. One last note: after one of my fittings, I overhead a lady asking a bride for the final deposit for her dress. The bride was confused and said she was thought she already paid, but the lady insisted there were no records of the final deposit. The bride was totally thrown off but said she'd have to get her wallet from the car because she wasn't expecting to have to pay anything today. When she got back, the lady said "oops, found the receipt!" So to conclude: yes, I got my dress here, it was at a great price, the alteration work and price was fantastic and the final result was the dress I envisioned but couldn't find anywhere. But it was a long and bumpy road to get there, adding unnecessary stress to a bride's plate. read more

The consultant who helped us did not seem too happy with having to pull a number of dresses for us .. Or with the fact we were looking for a particular poofy-ness. In fact.. She was very impatient and seemed disinterested in helping us find the perfect dress as if we should just settle for anything she pulled.. She was acting like a patronizing mother instead of a helpful friend.. There's a hint of cuteness to the store with the mirrors around.. but it's kinda dirty and disorganized upstairs .. The dresses themselves are nice .. But because of the lack of service we decided to go to elsewhere. This is just from my own personal experience.. Parking was good. But overall I will never go back here or recommend this place to any of my friends. We went into their outlet area but our consultant seemed offended that we went in.. Like we were doing something wrong by just looking. She raised her brow and said.. You won't find what you're looking for in here.. Well she was right. I'll never return either.. We went to kleinfeld Canada and found a better quality dress for $1100. Also they're much more organized, and friendly. We even got champagne for saying yes to the dress!! My friend who is the bride to be.. Got some cute freebies from kleinfeld. Don't waste your time here.. It'll kill the happy vibe you're supposed to feel when looking for your dream dress. I think Rachel T.s review is spot on. I made an appointment for 7pm - I too was a little taken aback by the random house on the side of the road, in fact I drove by it the first time and had to make a U-turn to go back. Prior to this place my two previous wedding dress shopping experiences had been at White Toronto and Beckers, so a completely different atmosphere. That being said this place was fun and totally relaxed. It was just myself and my gf - we had the place to ourselves. I had a few ideas in mind and told them what I was looking for. There are dresses all over the place, and as Rachel mentioned it's really hard to look through the dresses, we were very reliant on the consultant to pick ones out for me to try on. She keep disappearing and re-appearing with different dresses. I am quite blunt about what I do and don't like which helped, but you do need to be decisive. She was also quite honest and had a no nonsense attitude which I very much appreciated. I didn't feel as though I was being pushed into buying which also helped. In the end we came away with the style/cut that looks best on me - which was the goal of the day. Not sure if it is going to be THE dress, but it was a great starting point and a really fun way to spend the evening. Oh and the mirror upstairs - best skinny mirror ever! read more

This place is the worst!!! Stay away!! The consultants do not let you look at dresses and give you horrible attitude if you even glance at one. They are very rude. Vi was my consultant. She did get me to try on a lot of dresses and was helpful in that sense. I didn't like her attitude at all. It felt rushed and she made me feel stupid for asking simple questions. Even if I did find my dress here I wouldn't give them a penny. It's not worth my money to deal with their customer service. I would be so worried about having to deal with them for alterations! I have been to about 10 bridal stores in Toronto and found the process at Superior Bridal to be chaotic and unproductive. I arrived on time for my appointment and was told I could walk around the show room. There was hardly anywhere to sit to wait for the consultant to take us in for the appointment. Fifteen minutes later, after no one had greeted us, my mother finally said something so a consultant came to help us. At most stores, I found there was a tour of the store and some discussion as to what types of dresses I had in mind. The first question we were asked was whether we liked any of the dresses in the showroom, which was a no. I then proceeded to describe what I was looking for. We were then taken to a change room on the second floor and the consultant brought a few dresses for me to try. I showed her a dress from the store's Instagram page and she was convinced it was in stock. She disappeared for 15 minutes to go look for it with no luck. Another consultant or two came into the change room to help brainstorm other options given the criteria. I appreciated that they were trying to help but with 1000 dresses, it is hard to believe that under 5 were suitable to even try on. The entire experience felt unproductive as we waited alone in the change room while our consultant disappeared looking for the dress I had in mind or other similar options. I ended up trying on a few dresses. The consultant stood in the room while I undressed so I ended up leaving on half my clothes because I was not comfortable getting naked in front of a stranger. At every other place I have visited (as noted, I have been to about 10), either the consultant steps out while you change or asks if you are comfortable with her assisting and comes in when the dress is mostly on your body. Clearly a tight fitting dress is not going to look the same when you have pants and a bra on underneath! Not that it was an issue in this case because none of the dresses I tried on were serious contenders but I do not appreciate the "no photo" policy. As most brides to be are visiting several stores and trying on many dresses in one appointment, it can get confusing by the end. The second sales consultant did offer to contact the designer to see if the dress I found on Instagram might be available to try on, which I really appreciated. I think this bridal boutique has potential but found the entire process to be stressful, overwhelming and too chaotic for my liking! read more

I came in to Superior looking for a Specific Martina Liana Dress that I found at a few other stores but at an outrageous price. When I came in Elena was very friendly and listened to my dilemma. We worked out the price and she really made it easy for me to order and place a deposit. I received a call a few months later that the dress was in. She took great measurements and the dress fits like a glove. During my fitting Elena really took her time with me and made sure the dress was a perfect fit. She also made sure that my bust was properly secured as the dress is backless.The whole experience at Superior with Elena was seamless. read more

My experience at Superior Bridal was beyond words. I research multiple places to go to find my wedding dress. Superior Bridal was close to my parents home and had an informative website. Not to mention the reviews are 100% accurate. I knew I picked the right place right from when I called. They were informative over the phone and ensured that I knew what kind of experience I was getting. I read on the website that I would be in an open room and they suggested that I wear undergarments that I would be comfortable with other people viewing. They reiterated this over the phone. If you aren't comfortable with changing in front of your guest than perhaps this is not the place for you. I don't see a problem with it if you are having your closet females by your side. Vi helped me during my first visit. I had an idea of what I wanted but it didn't go as expected so Vi brought out other dresses that she thought would look good for my body type and shape. My dress was the third one that she brought out! Although I wasn't sure of it the first time, they never pushed me to buy it right then and there. I went a second time to try on the dress and a few other dresses during my second visit and it reassured me that I found my dress. Vi was busy with another customer at the time so Elena and their grandmother helped me. I got the same amazing experience as my first visit. This is the best Bridal shop! Even though I did not purchase my dress here, they had a great selection and many choices. My consultant was Gabriela and she was absolutely fantastic. She did not pressure me at all and made me feel comfortable. She showed me dresses that I would not have picked up myself but after I tried them on I fell in love! The only reason I did not get the dress at this store was because I had one dress in mind and found it at a different location, but if not... I would FOR SURE get the dress at Superior. No doubt. Superior Bridal is amazing!!! I went to this fabulous boutique after going to 5 other dress shops in Toronto (White & Kleinfeld's included). I work in the fashion industry and know a lot about customer service, price, quality and over all experience. This shop gets 5 stars in all areas for me. I gave them the details of my wedding location (destination), maximum budget including alterations and accessories was well as an image of the dress that was currently on the top of my list. I explained that I was still on the hunt for something that would take my breathe away. Something with that WOW factor that fit into my budget. My mother and I, along with our wonderful consultant Vi, picked out 2 dresses that were being showcased in their trunk show that weekend. We all immediately fell in love with both. My mother even had tears in her eyes. We picked out a few other dresses but none of them made the final cut. Vi was great! She picked out accessories that complimented each dress (keeping our budget in mind the whole time). She also made sure to include my mother in the whole experience. If you are a bride searching for the one, you know how important this can be! Now we had a decision to make. Dress 1 or dress 2? They were both so different that it was hard to decide. Vi sent us off for lunch so we could take our time to make a decision. When we came back, I tried both dresses on again and knew which one I wanted for my special day. I can honestly say that the hunt for my dress was very stressful and at some times extremely unpleasant, until I came to Superior Bridal. This was my second time trying on wedding dresses since my wedding dress hunt. There are two parts of superior bridal. One is for new dresses and the other is for off the rack dresses. My consultant that day was Vera. When the appointment started, she asked me what my budget was and I told her 1000-1500. She then tells me that there is nothing within my budget. So if this is your budget for you wedding dress, dont bother coming here. Secondly, not sure if it is normal practice, but at the first wedding shop that I went to, the consultant would help me into the dress (theyre just too long and too big!). But at Superior Bridal, I was handed the dress and had to get into the dress by myself with no help. The only thing they helped with was clipping the back so it looks fitted. As with the other post, they do have a flat rate for alterations at $500. I find this pricing reasonable only if there is much to be changed. The consultant i had that day also brought me to the off the rack house. I tried on a dress on sale for 750. However with alterations it would cost almost 1300. And of course, all the dresses there were size 8 and up (im a size 0-2). When asked if I could take a picture of the dress so I know which one it is if I come back, they simply said no. I find this very inconvenient as the first place i have been to allowed for photos. Long story short, I will not recommend this place. read more
