If you are looking for great personalized service when it comes to choosing your wedding dress,…read moreplease do yourself a favour and book an appointment with Carlo at Superior Bridal in Markham. We had the most enjoyable shopping experience EVER with him today. He put the bride at ease immediately, explained the process and picked out THE most beautiful gowns for her to try. What we thought was going to be a very stressful and confusing experience, turned out to be a fun filled morning with a new friend. Carlo has a great eye for detail, offered Sarah tons of great tips for her beach wedding in Mexico, and made the entire process a breeze. I can't thank you enough Carlo, the bride and BOTH Moms had a great time AND she said YES to the dress! You are a complete doll! Dianne Mariano

When I entered the main shop, it was decorated beautifully and has two floors of wedding dresses. The whole place looked so amazing! The dressing room was huge, and looked bigger than a room in most condos. You get the whole dressing room to yourself to change in privacy, and there's a separate big waiting room for your guests to see the dress when you're ready. I was hoping to have Carlo as my consultant, but I saw him helping with another appointment instead on the same floor. I can tell he's very passionate, and can hear his voice making suggestions from the other rooms. I had Beverly as a consultant, and she was very friendly, helpful, and not pushy. I didn't have a huge budget for dresses, but she still treated me nicely and offered some great recommendations. I appreciated how she helped me with each dress, and was always positive and never impatient. Hard to deal with my opinionated family sometimes! I got to see a wide variety of dresses, and a better idea which styles look best. I didn't end up making a purchase on my first visit, but do plan on returning if needed as I'm still on the hunt for the right dress! One thing to note is I didn't like how they have a flat fee of $850 for alterations (heard it used to be $600 in the past), for everyone regardless. I wish they offer a variable fee, depending on how many alterations you need! There is the option to just buy the dress, and get it altered elsewhere though. Overall, I had an amazing experience here and can tell why it's so highly recommended! Definitely worth a visit for sure!

I am a plus size bride, wearing 18/20 street size. I stated this on the forum when booking my appointment and when the employee asked upon entrance. Although sizing had been discussed, a lot of the dresses I was handed in the change room were sizes 10-14 and I was not able to try them on. Either they wouldn't fit over my hips, or my arms wouldn't fit in armhole with the strap, or my arm just wouldn't fit into the sleeve. Trying to squeeze into a dress that's half your size in a dark changing room without assistance is not a good start. At one point I told the employee that one of the dresses I wasn't able to pull up, and she seemed surprise "oh really? Is the zipper undone all the way", I said I would double check, but yes it was undone all the way. I just don't think the size 10 dress was ready for my size 20 hips. Another dress was sleeveless but had a high illusion neckline and I was excited to try on, however my upper arms were not fitting into the arm holes as it was a size 14 and my upper arms are larger. I told the employee this from the dark room behind the curtain and her response was simply "how about we move to the next one then". Which was sad because I thought this one would look so good if only in a better size. At this point I was starting to feel that same dreaded feeling I use to get when trying to buy name brand clothes in middle school. Hadn't felt that shame in a decade. I stuck my head out and asked if they had any plus size dresses, as these tags seemed to be 10-12 or 14 and I am usually about a 20. She pointed to the rack we got the 14 from and said that was the plus size rack. When I was able to get my body into a dress it was still a size 16, the neckline area never fit and it was nearly impossible to "use my imagination on". Since the detailing didn't line up and it was making indents. There was one dress I did like. However it was a zipper back and I was told the "zipper is slippery" so it couldn't be done up. I don't know much about how bridal shops use dress clips but she didn't use any and barely did anything. She held the open back together for about 30 seconds as I looked in the mirror then walked away. The dress had sparkly spaghetti straps that were very long so they dropped and curved a bit. My mom was trying to get a photo so I could look at it later but as the employee wasn't doing much to make the dresses look as they would if they fit I was trying to pull the straps at the back so it would appear tighter and then holding my arms down so the bodice wouldn't fly open. Ugh I honestly felt like crying when I was in the dark changing room, I felt lost. I was barely getting any assistance. She wasn't helping the dresses look as they would once fitted, I felt helpless. Not being able to fit into dresses and not having any dresses my size even when My size had obviously been discussed made my confidence drop and made me feel ugly and gross. Which is definitely not what a wedding gown shop should do.

You can rent a bridal gown,…read moreevening gowns, chinese kwa as well, hair pieces, etc. But the ladies who work here are extremely pushy..they were nice but seriously... OMG please give us some space... They also offer pre wedding photos here. I'm picky w/ photos.. imho I wouldn't go w/ them. But it may be other ppl's cup of tea. My friend was deciding on Darizi or Amour Bridal Studios and ended up going w/ Amour. The lady at Darizi was an old employee of Amour and kept bashing them & their services. How classy of you. It only reaffirms my pal's good decision to go w/ Amour instead. If you are the indecisive & easy to be swayed type... do not come here. Or you may regret it! I like their feathered pens here... but its $48.Some beautiful gowns (supposedly imported from Korea & Japan) but they are altered and better suited for the skinny petite hk girl types.

What a disaster. Never again. They deserve no stars to be honest…read more A friend of mine recently rented her wedding dress and evening gown here. What gorgeous gowns they have! Out of convenience the bride thought it would be nice to get custom dresses for all her bridesmaids. Since we came in all sizes, she had ordered custom dresses for us from here. There are 5 bridesmaids. It wasn't cheap, each dress cost over $120. I was highly disappointed to find out that they can't do a good job with their "custom made" dresses. Not only the workmanship and quality was poor, but also their service. We got some serious attitude when requested changes were were of their fault and clearly part of the agreement. At the first fitting (pre-fitting), 3 of 5 dresses did not fit. The dresses came out too small. The bridesmaids couldn't have gained that much weight considering we were measured with our winter clothes on. The colour of the fabric was off too. It came out much darker than expected - fine we can live with that. The fabric was too thin to hold up the design - what else can we do now? The zipper of choice was hideous - with poor workmanship it shows through. Stitching was a disaster on several dresses. Seams were rippling when they should be as smooth as silk. The length was much longer than we had requested on all the dresses. By the end of the fitting, there was much to fix. We had requested to fix the measurements of the dresses, the length, remove the straps, minor pinning, fix the poor stitching and re-center the bows. They agreed to make the changes and told us to return 2-3 weeks before the wedding so our measurements would be less likely to change and because the agreement includes only 1 alteration. Before the lady had agreed, she had seriously offended some bridesmaids. You know how sensitive women are with their weights. You never call them "meaty" or "fat". We came out worried. Second fitting (actual fitting), months pass, we came back to try the dresses, 2 of 5 dresses could not fit. Yay! one of us "lost" weight. The same issues as before, with the poor stitching, length, centering of bows, removing straps, etc. all the little details that makes a nice dress. The lady hesitantly agreed to change the length, fix the poor stitching, and fix dimensions only after 30 minutes of argument. It's a custom made dress after all, should it not fit me? Yay! Time to pick up the dresses! To our "surprise" they had forgotten to fix the pinning, did not loosen or fix the size of one dress, did not remove the straps as requested, did not fix the ugly zippers... basically every dress had something left unfinished. The lady told us, "you can pin that yourself, "we can't loosen the dress, otherwise the dress will fall off", "just cut off the straps yourself, it's easy", "the zipper is supposed to be like that"... At this point I was done arguing trying to make my point for them to fix these problems. We took the dresses and walked out. I resorted to my own sewing skills to fix all the "minor" issues left at hand, and I requested the help of my mother (who is an amazing seamstress) to fix my friend's dress who was suffocating in her dress. And this was the tiniest bridesmaid in the group that has been dieting for months thinking she was "too fat" for her dress. Unless you want to be insulted, left with an unfinished and unsatisfactory dress, save your time and effort, go elsewhere.

When Wing mentioned she was available to do makeup and hair for my big day, I decided to go for it, and I'm so glad I did. On the wedding day, she was punctual and flawlessly recreated the look we discussed during the trial. Both the makeup and hair turned out beautifully. I wholeheartedly recommend Wing and her team!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!…read more I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found this gem of a place. Wing and her team have been phenomenal throughout our whole wedding planning process. I originally came here to look for dresses. At this point, I already had a dress in mind plus most of their dresses for rent/purchase were on the smaller end (Think: Asian sizing), so I didn't get a dress here but I was quite impressed by their selection of outfits, including wedding dresses, traditional Chinese outfits, reception dresses and even men's tuxes. I did, however, end up booking make-up and photography from them.  Let's talk about the make-up- I didn't cry when I found my dress but I felt so emotional during my make up trial. Wing really took her time to help me find a look I liked, and I felt so much like a bride. I also loved how the hair and make-up came with the engagement shoot as I am so very bad with hair, and she was able to make my skin look flawless in the photos even without photoshop. The day of, Wing and her team arrived to my house on time the day of (5:15am!!) to do my mom, MOH, 2 Bridesmaids and MC hair and makeup and they honestly did a great job for everyone. They use good products and none of us had any skin issues afterwards. I booked Wing for the entire night at the reception hall to help me change my looks and she always made sure I looked perfect. I felt so beautiful and got so many compliments that night.   Our photographer for both the engagement shoot and wedding day was Teddy. He was so great to work with; so easygoing and so hardworking. He made sure to get to know the wedding party by name so it felt more like working with a friend. He gave us suggestions for poses and angles, but made sure we got every shot that we wanted. Even at the end of the night he checked in with us before leaving, even though he was already overtime. My engagement pictures turned out SUPER cute, I still can't believe that was me in the photos and not an actual model! Can't wait to see my wedding day pictures.   I had a short engagement period but with Wing's help and suggestions for the timeline, dress alterations and even our officiant, our special day turned out perfect. They are such hardworking, flexible and honest people to work with, and as an added plus, SUCH GREAT VALUE! I am still over the moon with how wonderful everything turned out and I will definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone planning a wedding.

After reading all the humiliating stories from fellow brides on yelp about other bridal shops, i consider myself lucky that Camellia was amazing! When you're shopping for your dress and planning your wedding, the LAST thing you need is a snobby, unhelpful and rude dress consultant! My first wedding dress appointment was with Shabellia (?) who was extremely kind, patient and friendly. My second appointment was with Joanna who was the same. The staff here is very nice and made my dress shopping experience really enjoyable! They were always happy to answer all of my questions without me feeling intimidated or stupid to ask questions which was how i felt at another store i went to. The only thing i did not like about Camellia is that they do not allow photos unless you purchase the dress which i understand is a business tactic. Even though i didn't like that i came back as i enjoyed the service. Joanna stayed with me for one hour passed their closing time but did not rush me at all! My appointment lasted 2+ hours. Thank you Camellia for helping me decide on THE dress! P.S. they have really good quality dresses here including brands like Pronovias, Sophia Tolli, Enzoani, etc!

I told her what I liked and disliked and she made sure to pull all the dresses that fit my criteria. She helped me get in and out of all the dresses. Because it's a smaller boutique, I do find their selection smaller. However, they do have trunk shows where they get more dresses from a particular designer. I went for the Enzoani trunk show and the discounts were very significant (almost 25% off!). Enzoani has beautiful, very detailed and well made dresses, so this was a big deal! Unfortunately, I didn't end up getting my dress here because I didn't find the one. But the service and boutique were very nice!
