We were blown away with their services from start to finish. They are thoughtful and observant in obtaining information from their clients about design preferences. When we received their design plan for us, we could not have been more thrilled. They captured all the elements of the design and wedding experience that we were hoping for and even suggested additional special elements (like a Tiki bar) that we hadn't thought of ourselves, but absolutely loved. Melissa and Morgan were also thoughtful in helping us plan the multicultural aspects of our wedding, weaving together seamlessly different cultural traditions. The end result was unique, elegant and received glowing feedback from all of our guests. In addition to all of this, Melissa and Morgan were extremely organized and on top of our wedding timeline. Of note, our wedding was not the easiest to plan, as we live in NYC and were planning during the pandemic. This did not prove to be a barrier as Melissa and Morgan held Zoom meetings with us and handled everything on the ground in Toronto until we had our final planning meetings in person. We felt completely confident in them, even as two type-A New Yorkers! Lastly and perhaps most importantly, they are an absolutel joy to work with. Their warmth and positivity put us at ease, not just during the planning process, but also on the day of the wedding. They were super adaptable -- any last minute challenges that arose were handled swiftly and competently by Melissa and Morgan. It is clear that they have strong relationships and are beloved by all their vendors, and there are clear examples of us benefitting from these strong relationships. At the same time, we never felt pressured into using a particular vendor, and Melissa and Morgan also worked seamlessly with several new vendors that we introduced. And while always positive, Melissa and Morgan were also transparent with us at all stages. When they had strong feelings about certain decisions based on their extensive experience, they did not hesitate to guide us. All in all, we wholeheartedly recommend Lustre Events for anyone planning a wedding. They made our dream wedding come to life!

$4,000 of our hard-earned money down the drain.... Contracted Melissa in the late summer and after…read moreless than 6 weeks had basically nothing from her expect pages of links to venues with zero value-add info or budget details. Email responses incredibly slow. As a result, we sourced our own venue and when the date was unavailable to Lustre events, we made the decision to release them. They refused to refund any portion of our $4k deposit. Over the course of 6 weeks, we estimate Melissa spent less than 3 hours on us, we never even met Morgan. We requested a partial refund (from our perspective this was generous) to which she immediately gaslighted us... launching into what appeared to be a heavily scripted response, it was clear she's done this to others, dishonest vendor, very important lesson to always read the contract! Absolute scam.

They played "Just A Gigalo as the grooms parents walked down the aisle (yes!!). Wanted 300 dollars to just turn on tv screens for a 3 minute video. Offered them 100, but they turned that offer down (Lee in mind the screens are there and need no equipment brought in) . We provided them with a music list of songs to play and indicated clearly that we want the DJ to play music with the same vibe. We hired them for a very special occasion which was my 50th birthday party at a hall and we paid their fee of almost $2000 because we were assured that we would get quality services. We got the worst possible services in that the DJ kept playing 70s and 80s music when we specifically outlined in the agenda they provided us thar we wanted current music like the music list we provided them with and they promised to follow. The inappropriate music the DJ kept playing throughout most of the party ruined the atmosphere of the party and our guests felt awkward as did my husband and I. Our guests did not feel like dancing to this music and asked us where we got this DJ from. They told us that the music selection was very bad and that it made them feel awkward. My husband, best friend and I approached the DJ and asked him politely to stop playing this old music and to play current music, including playing the music list we provided to liven up the party because nobody wanted to dance to the music he kept playing. The DJ listened to our request however he completely disregarded our input and he kept playing this older and inappropriate music. The entire purpose of hiring S4 and Peter and Pauls was to ensure we had a party atmosphere where everyone would dance to celebrate this milestone birthday. They completely failed to provide us with quality music and as a result our guests were not inclined to dance and a lot of guests left early because the party wasn't lively due to the horrible music selection the DJ was playing. The DJ also failed to provide any interactive activities with the guests as was promised by S4 and as indicated in the agenda we provided them with. The demeanor of the DJ in his discussion with us was indifferent and cold. This demeanor was also observed by our guests who noted that it looked like he didn't want to be there and showed absolutely no enthusiasm or even a smile while he played music. This is completely unacceptable in this industry to conduct oneself in such an indifferent manner. In addition, we noted that he drank several cans of beers and lined up the empty cans in a row on the stage. We found this very unprofessional and disrespectful to us and our guests. This is disgraceful behaviour which demonstrates a complete disregard for our party. The DJ provided by S4 didn't even know how to properly hold the microphone and speak into it. He had his mouth right on the microphone which caused a big distortion in what he was saying when he addressed the audience. My best friend had to show him that he had to pull the mic back to be heard clearly. The DJ brought 2 speakers and subwoofers, but he didn't even hook up the subwoofers and/or they didn't work. This was very apparent in that the music he played had absolutely no base. As anyone would agree having no base in the midi would most certainly affect how well the music is heard and felt by people. We went through the extra expense of hiring a videographer to have beautiful memories of this milestone celebration, however this was a waste of money because the footage reflects the horrible atmosphere created by the DJ. It's extremely sad and disappointing that I can't get a redo of this party because the damage has already been done by S4 and Peter and Pauls. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the services provided to S4 via email, S4 dismissed my concerns and informed me that they fulfilled their contractual obligations and stated the following: "I do apologize that your experience with S4 was not what you were expecting however music is subjective..." A response like this is completely unacceptable and unprofessional as any reasonable person would agree. In light of the horrible experience I had with S4 and Peter and Pauls, I personally would never recommend their services. PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHO YOU HIRE.

The One Bridal did a lot of good/great work but the long waiting at the end reduced my overall satisfaction. Let me start with the pre-photo shoot. We shopped around and talked to a few vendors before selecting One Bridal for our photography. I was impressed by their marketing and a number of wedding photo albums they had on their slideshows. One Bridal also offered competitive market rates for photography. Communications were excellent in the beginning and they were transparent about the timing of when they collected payments and when they will provide the photos (usb), album and canvas. For this part One Bridal scores 4.5 / 5.0 The photographer who took the photos was Joseph. He worked alone for our engagement photos in 2018 Spring and he had an assistant who helped take additional photos at our wedding in 2018 Summer. Our engagement photos were taken at Main Street Unionville. I was responsible for buying a permit for the location but there were no issues with getting the date & time we liked, meeting with the photographer, or weather. Joseph was both photographer and director as we walked around the location took photos The engagement photo shoot was scheduled to be one hour in length and took longer (around 1.5 hour) to complete, so I was happy when Joseph was able to give us some extra time to take all the photos. We had to do some walking and some of the photos we had to take a few times over but overall the day went well. For this part Joseph scores 4.0 / 5.0 Our wedding photos were taken at a banquet hall in Markham. The day and photo shooting started earlier for us as our party had some additional activities in the morning. Joseph & team had no issues with meeting us at a private residence near the banquet hall then relocating to the banquet hall afterwards. Since it was wedding day, there were a lot of activities and a lot of photos. The photography team took photos of us, our bridal party, our family, our guests, and our venue. Over a thousand photos were taken that day (given the large volume some photos were excellent, so good and some bad - that was to be expected). When reviewing the photos afterwards one observation I had is there were a few photos with large groups where a few people were somewhat blocked by others. The whole day went by a blur but I probably should have stayed for more photos with our guests after the ceremony. The photography team worked a full day, ate lunch and dinner with us and mostly did a good job. For this part Joseph and team scores 4.0 / 5.0 For me, the biggest challenges started after all our photo shoots were completed and 100% of the balance was paid. We were hoping to get all the photos (usb) and album about 3 months after our wedding. However, it took us around 5 months to get our usb and around 6 months to get the album (we got our canvas early so that was not an issue). During the waiting time communication with the vendor was inconsistent (longer turnaround times for phone call / emails). My main takeaway from the waiting experience is perhaps I should not pay the full balance until the final piece of product is received. For this part One Bridal scores 1.0 / 5.0 Overall, there were some communications challenges (it is fair to say it applied for both sides and I contributed to those challenges as I got more frustrated with waiting) and some lengthy waiting but we got what we agreed upon (our canvas photo, our wedding album and our usb key with all photos) and I am mostly satisfied with the product. 3.2 / 5.0 David Wu

Wedding planning can be extremely stressful and overwhelming. Ryan made the booking and planning process so easy. You can tell he is very knowledgable and passionate about what he does. The day of, he got everything down pat for the ceremony, did a great job in playing the genres we chose, transitioned/faded/cut exactly as discusses, and kept the crowd going during reception. Prices are very reasonable, as they have different packages you can choose from. We personally got 8-9hrs or service which was perfect and came with lighting. His set up was very good in terms of sound and technology. Our guests were able to request songs via text as well. Very happy with our experience with Pump It Entertainment and highly recommend their services for any event you need.

Roland offered the best quote and we were impressed with his portfolio, so we contacted him. He got there on time and knew the places to get the best shots. He also expertly posed the subjects and suggested some really neat setups. He delivered the resulting photos within days, much earlier than promised, and we are really happy with the results. Roland is very personable and a pleasure to work with. He said that he usually works on larger projects like day-long wedding shoots; I wouldn't hesitate to hire him and his team for a small project like mine or for a much larger one.
