I ended up purchasing a dress with a low back but was advised by the clerk who served me that it would be an easy and simple alteration to raise the back 2-3 inches to cover a tattoo. The clerk admitted she didn't know the exact cost but said that it likely wouldn't be much since it only had to come up 2-3 inches. Fast forward a few months and I was quoted $960.50-$1367.30 (depending on what option I selected) for what was supposed to be a "simple" alteration that wouldn't cost that much. Keep in mind this quote for alterations did not include standard alterations for length, bust, waist etc. When I asked the store to break down the expense for me by providing the hourly rate of the seamstress and to explain why it cost so much they said they couldn't comment. When I spoke with the manager she apologized and advised that not all of the clerks are properly trained to advise in alterations.....and offered me $200 off...which isn't even a 10% discount to cover HST on the most expensive option. The issue was never resolved by the store as I declined their tailoring services and will be going to a much more reasonable and transparent tailor. PICK UP If you work during the week like most people, expect to be treated like an inconvenience if you want to pick up your dress on the weekend. When I was told my dress had arrived, I was asked when during Monday-Friday I could pick up my dress. Seeing as I work and have to fight rush hour traffic to get to the store that was not an option. I was told that the clerk would need to seek management approval for me to come on a weekend...I was then offered appointment times before the store even open and when I asked why I was being offered times outside when the store was open I was told that it was in fact with in business hours because the clerks come in early before the store opens. Long story short my request to come on a weekend when the store is open was finally accommodated after much back and forth. read more

Choosing Ferre Sposa was the most wonderful thing that happened to me. The girls are so fun & professional. All my life i thought I knew exactly what I wanted, dresses I pinned all have that ONE look...I described and showed Ursula what I liked, everything she brought out was what everything I ever imagined in my head. After trying everything, they were still not quite "it"...so she took out a few different shapes that had the same vibe. It felt sooooo right. The girls at Ferre Sposa felt like that girl friend that knows you so well they know you better than yourself. This personable service meant the world since I couldn't have all my girls there due too the pandemic, I felt like I still had friends there giving me advice that still let me be comfortable & not shoving ideas down my throat. Came here today looking to find the perfect wedding dress and was unfortunately disappointed with my entire experience here. They have very nice dresses don't get me wrong. Prices started from $1200-$3000 was what I was told. We had an appointment and came early to look around before hand because you are only given 1 hour to try on the dresses. We weren't aloud in the back where most of the dresses were because there were appointments already back there trying dresses on. FINE. That's nice for privacy and makes it more intimate. So we decided to check out the few bridesmaids dresses to waste time. The girl helping us- who later on I found out was my consultant. Seemed to be getting annoyed with us so I said forget it and it was time for me to try the dresses. She was not very friendly or giving me the "bridal experience" I was hoping to get from what they advertised on the website. It was the complete opposite. She basically just showed me dresses and helped me try them on. Never gave her opinion or even complimented me and didn't even make me feel like a Bride. I got the feeling she thought we were there messing around and not serious shoppers. I found the dress but was not impressed. The entire customer experience was ruined. I will not be going back or recommending this place. I was never given any paper work of the dresses I had tried on. Never given and notes about the bridesmaids dresses- andI liked and the colours. I purchased my dress originally at another Toronto salon but, due to a neighboring fire, my dress had smoke damage and that other salon was not able to guarantee a perfect dress for my day. They gave me a same-day appointment, ordered my exact same dress (even though they didn't carry it in the salon!), helped me find an even better veil, and rushed the dress to arrive with plenty of time for alterations. My alteration experience was wonderful. Jennifer and Ursula helped me to secure the perfect fit - and taught me how to walk in my A-Line dress without tripping. (+1 for that!) Top notch bridal shop in Toronto. The staff here are so courteous and professional compared to the other bridal shops I've been too. They give you their most undivided attention and listen to your opinions instead of giving you their opinions which adds to the other opinions of your guests. They don't keep telling you that you're beautiful and blah blah which I appreciate because no matter what, all wedding dresses are beautiful. And the dresses at Ferre Sposa are exceptionally beautiful. You really feel like a bride. Kudos to Jennifer who helped me make up my mind and focused my attention to dresses that actually fit my personality instead of finding a dress that looked good on a certain celebrity. The store is beautiful and all the dresses are categorized by style. If you're looking for a ball-gown, you need to come here. The most expensive dress I tried on was $2,100 and many of the dresses are between $1000-1800. I think I even saw a strapless dress for $390.00. Pro-tip: The staff come inside the "curtain" with you to help you step into these gowns, so be prepared knowing that you'll be undressing in front of someone. The dressing room areas are spacious and you have two huge curtains to help you reveal the different dresses to your guests. What a fabulous experience!!!! I got my wedding dress at Ferre Sposa, right off the sale rack (sample). Alice did an amazing job in spending lots of time with me to find the perfect dress (and she suggested so many different options that fit my body type...as I am very short!!!). The wedding dresses here are much more modern and stylish than in the other bridal stores I went to. The alterations were PERFECT and I felt like a million bucks on my wedding day. If I was to get married again (haha) I would definitely go back to Ferre Sposa -- excellent selection, fantastic service....and for me, an amazing price because I bought a clearance dress (only $375!!). I had a terrible experience at Ferre Sposa. Picking a dress is supposed to be a fun and memorable experience and the terrible customer service throughout impacted the entire experience. I picked my dress in summer 2021. I had to fill out a questionnaire, preselect gowns to try on, and attend a Zoom call with a stylist. This was time intensive and the Zoom call was totally unnecessary. No one even showed up to the Zoom call. After waiting for 10 minutes in the Zoom waiting room, I had to email the shop and ask if the stylist was still going to attend. During the Zoom call, we just looked at the dresses I had already selected so I did not find this helpful. At the actual appointment in August 2021, the store was very hot and no one offered us any water at any time during the appointment (whereas another store I went to offered all guests bottled water upon arrival). The first 15 minutes of the appointment involved the stylist holding up the gowns I had already preselected and asking if I still wanted to try them on. I did, which is why I had selected them. This was a waste of time that could have been better spent trying on the actual gowns. At my first fitting in April 2022, I entered the store with my mom and grandma excited to try on my dress for the first time. The people at the front desk saw us come in, but did not say hello or acknowledge us. They were not able to see us until about 15 minutes after our appointment was scheduled to start. The seamstress was rude and seemed disinterested. I wanted a bow removed and she ripped it off quickly, appearing to leave a small hole in the dress which we were concerned about. She also quickly cut off a bunch of tulle inside the skirt that I wanted removed, but she did so quickly and the cuts were jagged. I certainly was not expecting her to remove it all during the fitting. About 10 days or so before my second (and likely final) fitting (and one month before my wedding), I got a call from the store at approximately 4:30 pm of the Saturday of the May long weekend saying the seamstress was on sick leave, no alterations had been made to my dress over the last month, and all of the pins were still in my dress. She said I had to tell them within the next 30 minutes whether I wanted to use the back-up seamstress. When I asked how busy that seamstress was, I was told she was at capacity. I was not confident the alterations would be done well or on time, so I ended up using a different seamstress at another shop who charged $500 less and completed the work in 2 weeks. When I came to collect my dress from Ferre Sposa to take it to the other seamstress, they asked me to sign a form that said they were refunding the money for the alterations as a courtesy. It was not a courtesy - they did not do any of the alterations that had been paid for. The form also had a confidentiality clause that was clearly designed to try to prevent people from leaving negative reviews (even though they solicit 5 star reviews via a sign on their counter). I refused to sign that as it was totally illegitimate. While I love my dress, I would never recommend Ferre Sposa to anyone. Terrible customer service. read more

Ferre Sposa was my first stop for wedding dress. Appointments were easy and quick to make (all done online via their website). Shop is located super close to ossington station on the bloor line. The store is super cute and magical upon entering. Rows and rows of wedding dresses are on racks near the back and some near the front of the store. The store also carries bridesmaid dresses. Upon entering, you are greeted by your consultant. I had Stephanie and she was so fun and great at recommending ideas. You sit with your consultant for about 10 minutes describing what style and material you're open to trying. Stephanie right off the bat knew what i was looking for and was helpful in branching me outside of what i "thought" would be my ideal wedding dress. In the time span of about an hour, I tried on perhaps 12 - 15 dresses. Since it was my first time, Stephanie was great in coming into the change room with me and helping me get into these pouffy dresses. She would assist in any way and even taught me some tricks on getting into the dresses easier! The price ranges here on average is about $2000-2500 so if you're budget is not in that range I wouldn't recommend coming in.. though most of their stuff is under the $4000 mark! The experience itself though was worth while, and thanks to Stephanie.. she helped me figure out the actual style i wanted and what actually looked good. Stephanie was super honest and was definitely a consultant I feel every bride to be should get as a first time shopper! I got my wedding dress from Ferre Sposa, and the service was amazing! I went there to try on a dress I'd seen online - so I really didn't browse much. But the racks are full of beautiful dresses, and from what I could tell, a variety of price points. They also have a small selection of bridesmaids' dresses and Mother of the Bride dresses, which we did not avail of. Alice, who helped us, was so great. Very friendly, helpful, and experienced. We went back for numerous fittings, and she was always very accommodating. We also used their in-house service for alterations, and were very pleased. A number of adjustments were required, all of which could not be done at once. But they accommodated all of these adjustments and did a beautiful job, with great attention to detail. I went in yesterday to try dresses on for the first time. I've never tried on dresses before, and my friends who were supposed to come with me cancelled so it was pretty obvious that I wouldn't be purchasing a dress at that time and I would only be trying them on. I had Joanne as a sales consultant, who not only was super cool but she even broke down the tailoring process, price ranges for tailoring and when I'd know what my estimate was. She let me look for my own dresses and also suggested dresses based on my price point. She was completely calm throughout the whole process, and didn't rush me even though she knew I wouldn't be purchasing that day. I really enjoyed my time with her; she took a lot of the edge off and made me feel relaxed. She even took photos of the back of the dresses for me to send to my friends/ family. Joanne was really attentive and helpful, and I'm glad that my first experience was with her. I've read reviews of people feeling rushed once the consultant realized they wouldn't be making a sale but to be honest I felt the complete opposite here. She gave me a card with her info and the dress style numbers I liked - and I lost it on my way home, so I emailed her to request the info again and she got back to me within the hour. As far as the shop environment goes; It's really comfortable and a great layout for semi privacy. You get your own little "cubby" which is a carpeted podium, and there's a nice seating area for your guests to get comfy and really get to see the dresses you're trying. The shop is beautiful; it's small but there's enough dresses here to fit your fancy (and they can also order in dresses from their provided designers.) The lighting is soft; it's nice to not get that department store glare and it's great lighting for photos. I haven't bought a dress yet but I'd really like to come back to this location when I get everyone together. I just really enjoyed my experience and although the store is small, they have a beautiful selection that can rival many of the more overwhelming shops. Tidbit: They are now carrying Zavana dresses (they're new so they're not on the website, but they're gorgeous and if you're looking for them, this is the spot) and they will soon be adding Enzoani dresses since they just had a trunk show not too long ago. I had a very disappointing experience at Ferre Sposa. I don't understand where all these rave reviews are coming from. They have the worst customer service. My first issue was with my veil. With all the excitement of finally finding a wedding dress, I chose a veil I did not actually want. I called and emailed them right away hoping they still had time to change the veil before they placed their order, but I didn't get a response from them until almost a week after. It was difficult to get a hold of someone to speak with, and the one time that I did get to speak with someone, they said the manager would call me back on Wednesday of that week. I waited all day that Wednesday thinking I would get a call but I did not. I understand they could be busy but I continued on emailing them as well hoping they would respond at least via email. After my fourth email, they finally responded and told me to come in right away. They helped me choose a veil quickly and, luckily, the veil was the exact same price as the one I had chosen previously, so the issue was resolved quickly after that. I didn't understand why it took so long to get back to me but all was forgiven and I decided to give them another chance to redeem themselves with the dress itself. Now cut to the wedding day. I kept feeling a prick on my ankle and my calf. At first, I thought it was somehow my shoe strap, but when I looked, it definitely wasn't. Towards the end of the night, I finally found the culprit, and to my surprise I found a sewing pin hidden at the hemline of my dress. It was sewed in so you wouldn't be able to see it but it would obviously poke through. I wish I could say this was the only pin I found, but it wasn't. I found two more along the bottom hemline of my dress and another one on the side of the dress near my ribs, so four in total. I decided to send them an email letting them know what had happened. Obviously, there's nothing they could do about it now that they had my money, but I just wanted to let them know so that they will be more mindful with their future clients and their dresses and I was really hoping they would just send me an apology. Days later, I finally get a response saying thanks for your comments, not one single apology. Are you kidding me? I've never written a review for anything in my life, but this angered me that they couldn't even muster up an apology for leaving a bunch of pins in my dress. It could have done more than prick me and gone through my skin. Btw, after I had emailed them and gotten their disappointment of a response, I found another pin, so total of five pins, which I've attached a picture of. I wish I had taken a picture or a video each and every time I found a pin. It's just so ridiculous and careless. read more

I honestly wished Ferre Sposa was one of the first stores I had visited when trying a wedding dress for the first time. Compared to the other 2 places I visited before (David's Bridal in Mississauga and Pearl Bridal House), Ferre Sposa was like heaven. Very easy going, nice boutique store, no pressure at all and the staff were great! The rep that assisted me I believe her name was Katherine (I'm never good at remembering names). She was so knowledgeable and really help me figure out what I really wanted (even though I know I had an idea before) Awesome changing room sizes and very clean store! The only thing I have to let everyone know is that when you're visiting the store and you're a germaphobe, bring your own socks because they will make you change out of your shoes and into their slippers. Unfortunately this was not informed to us ahead of time so one of my friends was very hesitant in putting on a pair of slippers that were worn by other people and she was wearing flats. read more

A) I found this place to be too pricey and when I say too pricey I don't mean I have a small budget but the same la sposa dress can be found cheaper elsewhere. Their prices seem to be aporox 200 above some others. B) they have a very unique selection. Which is good if you are looking for some fashion forward dresses but with the description I gave them, I was only able to find 5 dresses I wanted to try on. Out of those 5, 2 are out of curiosity. Store: The location of the store is just right off the Ossington station. Even from the outside it feels elegant and chic. If you are looking for a dress that is elegant then this is the store for you to visit. They carry quite a few of the Maggie Sottero dresses. Selection: They have a large selection of dresses and are organized by style. The staff that were helping me was great. She asked me for my budget, which was around 1500 and she ensured that the dresses that my friends picked out for me didn't go too much over that price. Even though they don't outright place it somewhere, you can buy some of their dresses off the rack, you just have to explain it to the sales. They also have a large selection of bridesmaid dresses sorted by color. Staff: The staff was wonderful. I had to cancel my appointment twice because of an exam change and they were so accommodating. At some points I wished that the sales gave me a little bit more opinion but overall it was a great experience. Overall: The moment I entered this store I felt that something special was here waiting for me and that is what I found. I went here for my forth and last appointment. I appreciated the service here, they were very personable and helpful getting into the dresses. I loved the unique dresses they had here and the way the areas were set up with huge mirrors and a pedestal you can step on so they can easily pull dresses up around you. Fantastic idea and one that I did not see any other place. Though the sales girl was very nice and helpful getting the dresses on, I wish she had more of an opinion and helped me pick a few dresses out that would flatter me better. She didn't give an opinion at all actually. Luckily I was able to take some pictures. Though I was interested in some of the dresses, from the pictures I saw that they actually looked terrible on me, and perhaps the overhead lighting made it look increasingly bad. I found some of the dresses a bit pricey for the amount of beading/fabric/work of the dress you got. Overall, if you are a size 4 and have a decent budget for you dress, try this store out and you may find your unique dream dress. I went here in March 2014. Overall, it was a good experience. The staff were quite helpful and between my ideas of what I wanted to try on and their own input, I found a few dresses that were pretty decent, but none that I would have considered buying. Their selection of gowns seemed to lean towards excessive embellishment with plenty of sequins and beading, so if you're a bride who wants a lot of drama, you may have good luck finding what you like here. My experience was slightly soured by the staff's tendency to point out my figure flaws as I was trying on dresses (I'm pretty aware of them, thanks). They also tried to talk me into a way-too-expensive dress that looked good, but was far too ostentatious for my very small and informal wedding. I didn't enjoy the wedding-industrial-guilt-complex nonsense, and it didn't convince me to open my wallet. Still, looking here is worth a try. I was so impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of my bridal consultant at Ferre Sposa! I honestly felt like she really got to know me, what my likes and dislikes are, and could tell me right away if something was going to work or not on my body type. I tried on a ton of dresses within my allotted appointment time, and we were able to easily narrow down my choices. I love that the dresses are sectioned off (not by designer), but by lace, long sleeve, ball gown, satin, etc. This makes things so much easier on a confused bride! My consultant was so friendly and fun, she really made my day brighter! They have a little accessory section, as well as a bridesmaid dress section as well. May have just got really unlucky with the "bridal consultant" we ended up with but I definitely didn't enjoy my experience and am a little annoyed I wasted my time with this place. At the beginning of the appointment I wasn't provided any information on how their process works (I had been to two other bridals stores prior and their intros always provided some guidance on how the appointment would go) ie. if we pull dresses our selves or if she had a couple picked out prior. She did end up picking up some dresses that fit the description I was looking for, however the two friends I was with also helped picked some styles out as they know my style pretty well. The bridal consultant seemed pretty annoyed at them doing this. Don't get me wrong, I understand some stores will request that you let the consultant choose the dresses first, but as I mentioned we weren't given any instruction of what we could and couldn't do. As I was trying on dresses, she continuously flicked my ponytail out of the way aggressively rather than just asking me to move it. As she was closing the curtains behind me, my friends noticed that she'd roll her eyes almost every time. Not entirely sure what pissed her off so much because she barely spoke to us during the appointment. When I inquired about dress options and alterations she gave very short "yes/no" answers. Even when I found a dress I really liked and was interested in purchasing all she offered to do was "write it down", but that was pointless because she didn't hand me anything on my way out. Lastly, when booking online it said the initial bridal consultation was an hour long sooo I'm not quite sure why she was rushing us out of the store 25 mins into the appointment? I would literally have to write a novel to explain how awful everything was, but in short, my super sleek fitted dress, after 5 fittings (7 visits) was still not the dress I tried on originally. It was such an amazing experience, I actually found my wedding dress + veil + accessories in just under 2 hours! Amanda my Bridal Consultant was amazing, she's the best! I was initially so intimidated by the sheer amount of dresses, but she helped me narrow it down taking into account what would suit me best and patiently helped me try on dress after dress until I found the perfect one. The selection is not huge but they have a wonderful variety of dresses at great prices. My friends and I were able to walk through the racks while Natasha listened to what we were looking for. She picked out some dresses that she recommended along the line of our style. She helped me put on the dresses and recommended different alterations that could be done, going over all our options. She really made the appointment and we all had a great time. Overall, the staff are beyond helpful, the salon is beautiful/well organized, and the prices are reasonable. My overall experience was awesome here. The shop is small but so clean (you have to take off your shoes inside the store) and the bridal consultant Natasha was friendly and helpful. I will be back to try "the dress" that I have picked. The only thing that I didn't like about Ferre Sposa that they don't allow you to take a picture. I gave this spot a 1 star. Even tho my sister came late and we had one of the girls service us and her customer service wasnt mindful but really rushy. I wouldnt come back to this spot. First bad experience especially when this happens once in a lifetime. If you dont like your job dont rush brides to try dresses and waiting for family or the bridal party opinion or dont work there and give brides a hard time. read more

One of the shining star salons in Toronto. It's the perfect place to start and end your wedding dress shopping experience. The fitting rooms are big enough to actually try on dresses without feeling flustered and claustrophobic. Taking pictures is encouraged, and the lighting and flooring of the salon make them turn out great so you have a solid reference point when you're looking back at your looks and trying to make a decision. I didn't buy my dress in my first visit, but came back after visiting a few other locations. I felt completely welcomed to do this because the the staff are incredible - every single staff member is top notch. I was the third person in my friend group to buy a wedding dress here, and we each had different ladies, and every experience was great. The selection of dresses is curated, and there's seriously something for everyone. You'll get a great experience if you don't know what silhouette you want yet, and if you do, you have a few options to look at. Honestly - a must-visit for any bride. read more

The boutique is located just few minute walk from the ossington station and that is why I picked this place over others. The place is very nice with 4 huge fitting room area. Lots of dresses to choose from. The Sales run in a very efficient way, they help you to summarize what you like and don't like, which is helpful, but sometime can be felt rushed. For me and I believe for most of the girls, you want to get a "felt in love at first dress". Sometimes it can eat tricky. The price range here is from 1000 to 3000, with minimum 60% down and alteration extra, which is around 500. read more

I must preface this to say that I did not buy my dress here, but nonetheless the experience was truly top drawer. The dresses are beautiful, and are organized by style, which is very helpful. The staff are friendly and courteous. My sales associate actually convinced me to buy a dress at a different store, and made me feel super excited over my choice. There was no pressure to buy. Also- the fitting rooms are great. You are on a little stage with a pedestal in the centre, and when the dress is on and ready- they swoop open the drapes in very dramatic fashion. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I walked in to Ferre Sposa and I was told by the salesperson to choose as many dresses as I wanted and to let her know when I was ready. No problem...my friends and I walked around and chose some dresses. When I was ready, she walked me behind the dressing curtain with the dresses. She looked at the first dress and without even looking at me she said "this won't fit you"...which was weird because I had already been at other stores the same day and put on the size 10 without too much trouble. She looked at the other dress - "This won't fit you too." She was rude and acted like she didn't have time for me. She went through about 2 more until she found one that was to her liking and threw it over me. It fit me fine. As we were standing there in front of my friends and the rest of the store, the other salesperson asked why I wasn't trying on the other dresses...my friends chimed in "Apparently, they don't fit her". The other salesperson said "It'll fit fine, just don't zip it up" (which is true...you're TRYING on the dress for the look, not the fit at first) my salesperson stopped, looked at the salesperson and said "Then you help her try it on" At that point I was done. I got out of that dress and my friends and I walked out. HORRIBLE customer service. There are better stores out there. Walk a few blocks west to Belo Fashions. It doesn't look as pretty as Ferre Sposa, but they have a HUGE selection and amazing customer service. I found my dress there. :) read more

I also found Ferre Sposa through BlogTO's list of top bridal salons, but I actually had an awful experience. I found a dress I liked but instead of ordering a few extra inches in length I got extra feet and the gown was far too long. The sales lady pinned the dress, as opposed to an actual seamstress and not only did I end up going back 5 times for fittings - the end product looked awful. The seamstress had to try a few times to take in the lace at the back before she could seem to figure out a way to do it that didn't seem to show and the lace at the bottom looks awful from so much having been taken off - I actually cried when I came to pick it up, I thought it looked so awful. If you do go, before you buy ask how the tailoring will work and make sure you will be happy with it - I didn't and I really regret it. read more

This store is super modern, sleek and efficient. We arrived and were greeted right away. We were asked to remove our shoes and take a seat. Our consultant came over introduced herself and brought us down to our changing room. She asked what style of dress I wanted and explained to me how the dresses were laid out. We went through the racks together and selected some dresses. The dresses are laid out by style but price points are mixed (which can be tricky cause you have to keep checking price tags). I was changed in and out of the dresses with record time efficiency. The ones that didn't make the top two were whisked from the changing room. Eventually we whittled it down to the top two, I explained I wasn't 100% sure. They wrote down the names of the dresses and booked me in for my next appointment. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but did feel a little rushed at times, it was a Friday evening appointment. They nicely forced me to make a second appointment which I didn't like but I get it - they are in the business of selling dresses. They have a great selection but lean towards mid to high price range. They allowed us to take photos of the dress. The staff were very friendly and professional. read more

Ferre Sposa was the first bridal store I went to. The location was close to Ossington station, and it was very clean and organized. Stephanie was my consultant and she was warm and had great suggestions. The dresses were all beautiful and she pulled some that I liked them more than I expected. It was awesome that Stephanie helped out in the change room; we were able to get dresses on and off very quickly. I tried on many dresses in a short period of time! It was a really positive experience and I walked away with a much better idea of what I was looking for. FYI I was looking for a dress with V-neck straps and not too poofy, and there was a decent selection. The ball gowns looked gorgeous too though, just not what I was looking for. I ended up buying a second-hand gown from another bride, but I would have been happy to buy one from this store as well (there were two I that were potentials). read more
