I had an amazing experience from start to finish at Sash & Bustle. My cousin booked me an appointment after I got engaged just to get an idea of what types of dresses I liked. To be honest - most of the dresses at S&B were out of my budget and I let the stylist know that, but it didn't deter her from providing me with awesome and patient service. I ended up returning for a second appointment and making a purchase within my budget! Everything came on time and it was the least stressful shopping experience I'd ever had. Every step of the way I've received above and beyond service from the amazing people that work here. No one is pushy, everyone is patient and extremely sweet & helpful. I've made a styling appointment for next month to get some accessories as well. Not only is the store gorgeous, the dresses are beautiful and unique and the staff are fantastic. Definitely check it out! read more

I would not recommend them based on how our situation was handled. We placed a deposit on a dress but changed our mind, and almost immediately asked them to cancel and not proceed with ordering it. Rather than simply refunding the deposit, we had to go through a frustrating amount of back and forth just to get the money returned. Even then, they kept a sizeable amount saying it was the "restocking fee"--there was nothing to restock; no dress was ever ordered. They then explained it by saying it covered their time, the additional appointment, communication and administrative work. The additional appointment was because they would not give back the deposit, and as for communication and administrative work--that is all part of doing business. We have since asked like stores if they would have given back the deposit and they said of course as the dress was never ordered. Overall, what should have been a straight-forward cancellation turned into a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend them. read more

After reading some negative reviews for Sash & Bustle, I have to be honest my expectations were rather low. However, I am happy to say I really enjoyed my bridal shopping experience here. First of all, the store itself is stunning. I also love how they offer a curated selection of wedding related accessories as well such as gorgeous silk dressing gowns, bridal jewelry, clutches, bridesmaid gifts, etc. The pricing is also reasonable in my opinion, with dresses in the $1000 - $5000 range. Our consultant, Hallie (spelling?) was very sweet and helpful. I really like how they allow you to select five gowns to try first by clipping a clothespin to the top of the hanger of the dresses you are interested in trying on. They have large racks of stunning dresses to choose from and also stock Canadian designers (love that!). Your choices are then set up beautifully in a change room to try on. Hallie was awesome and helped me get myself into all of the gowns I tried on. They also had shoes for me to borrow while trying on gowns (something I seem to always forget to bring with me!) which was very appreciated. Although I didn't say yes to the dress on this particular occasion, I did really love a gown that is in my budget and (almost) everything I want. Since I have a bit more time, I will do a bit more shopping but definitely will keep Sash & Bustle at the top of my mind! Our consultant also mentioned that they offer bridal styling appointments as well, even if you purchase your gown elsewhere. I will also keep them in mind for help with this in the event I don't get my dress from this location. I would absolutely recommend stopping in for a bridal shopping visit (but be sure to make an appointment in advance!). read more

My partner and I decided to have a Celebration of our commitment. Since we're non-traditional and didn't want a wedding per se, I was struggling to find something to wear. I didn't want to look like a traditional bride but I still wanted that something special. I also was not super comfortable with the whole trying things on given the pandemic, massive ups & downs in weight, etc. I knew right away that I wanted to visit Sash & Bustle and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it was the best decision. I did visit other shops but deep down I knew I would be back at Sash. The staff were AMAZING and went above and beyond. How you may I ask? Let me know tell you. The Sash staff helped me carry out a pretty complicated plan that involved pretending I hadn't already been there twice just so my Mom could be present for the day we "picked the dress". They were all so patient and kind, bringing in dress after dress even though we knew which one I was going to pick. They greeted us as if for the first time, went through the clothes-pin motions, etc. Seeing the expression on my Mom's face throughout the appt was priceless and I will forever be grateful to the Sash team for helping me create that day for her. Huge Shout out to Yustina (who literally went above and beyond and has the patience of a god and did everything to make me feel comfortable throughout the process) and Tanisha (who helped me track a dress down and made my Mom feel like a superstar). Honestly - to the whole S&B, keep doing what you're doing. I wish I could try on dresses with you forever. read more

Sash was the first ever wedding dress shop I stepped into for my wedding. Beautiful store and lots of offbeat/hipster wedding dresses if you are that kind of a bride. The staff is not the most helpful or friendly people I've met so I didn't exactly have the greatest first dress shopping experience. The girl who I dealt with had a foul mood when I was fitting my dresses early in the morning... she was unresponsive and definitely not helpful when I was asking questions. Although I didn't have the most pleasant experience with their customer service, but this place has some really cute and unique selections on the rack. I almost got one of the dresses I tried on but I decided to go against it because I found another place with much better customer service. I wanted to give this store a 3 star due to the poor customer service experience but they really do have some good stuff and the store is absolutely adorable! It's worth your trip just to check out their decor and ambiance =)! In terms of price range, I'll say it's more on the affordable side. Sash has dresses as low as 1k. Anything decent (with lace, and puffy bottom) would be around 1500. If you are looking for details (i.e. beading, rhinestones, heavy lace, good silk) then it'd be more 2-4k+. I would recommend this place if you are NOT looking for primadonna, princessy or any traditional dresses. Don't set high expectation with their customer service then you should be good to go! Dress Style: 4.5/5 (light weight, chic, hipster) Service: 2.5/5 (based on my own experience with a particular staff) Ambiance: 5/5 (clean, romantic, cute) Value: 4/5 (affordable) read more

I have to write a longer review, so I will edit after my wedding commences. This boutique is amazing, they go above and beyond for their clients. I had a situation with one of their seamstresses and they truly showed 10/10 customer service and supported me through it. Honestly, Sash & Bustle is just the place to feel like a glamorous non pretentious bride. From the moment you walk in you are catered to, there is no pressure, only leisure. Vanessa & Andrea are the perfect owners - it's no wonder they are sisters! Initially my first appointment was with Andrea who was everything to me that day, she was helpful, offered positive criticism, sized up my body and helped me find the perfect shape. Vanessa was with another bride but would swing around the other side of the room to take a peak whenever she could. My budget was healthy and all of their gorgeous dresses hanging on their racks were up for my choosing! I tried on several dresses from Sash & Bustle and they all could of been serious contenders. The fit, the flare, the glamour ... OH MY! I need to mention that while my budget was healthy the range of dresses and prices are incredible. Do not be discouraged based on my review - call ahead and ask the range before you book an appointment. I had tried on about 20 dresses before visiting Sash & Bustle, salons that included: White, Pearl Bridal House, and Beckers with very little luck... I was given amazing advice that your salon stylist is the most important person to you that day, you've got to have a connection with your stylist because that really helps in the process. With Andrea and Vanessa it was easy - it was like shopping with my girlfriends - we just clicked ... I knew after my first appointment my dress would be found at Sash & Bustle. I returned for my second appointment (yesterday!) with Vanessa to show some of my bridesmaids the contenders. S&B we're hosting the Hayley Paige trunk show and I could not stop thinking about one of my Hayley Paige contender dresses! Upon arrival I was greeted like an old friend, BIG hugs, introductions to my friends and we were off to the races and quickly went to work. I pulled a few new gowns, a few contenders and of course, the one I couldn't stop thinking about!! Once again I tried on some new shapes, gowns -- ALL were stunning! I was a little scared I would change my mind for I loved them all! I ended up saving my favourite from the first appointment for last ... and I'm so glad I did, for when I came out the dressing room the salon went quite and everyone tearing. I glanced one look down the dress and up at the full length mirror and just sobbed. This was MY dress. I couldn't of been happier in that moment and am so honoured to call myself a Sash & Bustle bride. Thank you Andrea & Vanessa for working so hard to carve out such a fabulous place for brides. Good luck to you reading this, you bride-to-be! Now go and kill it! read more

My daughter and I were looking for help to either figure out modifications to a previously purchased gown from another store to to find an alternative. Our consultant, Francesca, was incredible. She offered a variety of options to modify the dress and when that didn't work she listened carefully to what my daughter really wanted. Francesca made miracles happen with the help of her team and we walked out the door with gown and veil prettily bagged and a list of seamstresses for the minor alterations needed. She was gracious and respectful. It was truly wedding magic. Thanks Francesca and team. Evelyn from Collingwood read more

Just recently had my first bridal consultation and Nicole helped me with the appointment. Nicole is honestly the sweetest consultant ever! She is so energetic and I can tell how passionate she is with her work. The owner Vanessa was super sweet as well - they absolutely don't push you to buy their dresses. I can't wait to go back with my girls and try on bridesmaids dresses! PS. Their store is so gorgeous I just want to stay inside forever! read more

I had been following Sash & Bustle for weeks on Instagram, so I already knew I loved the styles and selection before I set foot in the door. My consultant Veronica could not have been more accommodating. I had brought 3 bridesmaids and my mother and she was not phased at all! She took the time to sit me down and ask me about my wedding, fiancé, and personal style. We had a big private room in the back and it didn't feel rushed or high-pressure. Sash is a beautiful space. It is clean and well-lit throughout the store. Dresses are within the 1.5-5k price range and there are designers from all over the world (including Canada!). If you're looking for a unique look that is not the basic strapless princess dress, this is your store. When I left Sash, I could not stop thinking about this one dress and the warm experience I had there. It was the best experience (by far) out of all of the other shops I visited in Toronto. I ended up coming back with my mom 2 weeks later and picked that dress! Veronica even took a Polaroid of me in the dress next to my mom as a keepsake. I could not be more excited. read more

I had a very small wedding and it didn't make sense for me to spend the "normal" amount on a dress ($1,500-$3,000) as it would have almost doubled the cost of my entire wedding. When I called to inquire about their lowest priced dresses, I was treated really nicely. Their lowest prices were around $1,500. That was over my budget and the woman on the phone was really nice and took the time to recommend several other places I could look. It really says a lot about a business when you're treated so well when they know they aren't going to make any money off you. I also follow them on Instagram and their dresses are gorgeous! read more

I had a negative experience with S&B. I ordered a dress that was made to order. I felt I was rushed through the appointment and that the stylist working with me took crude measurements. I was told it would be about 4500 dollars for the dress to be made. When I enquired about additional alterations, I was told it would be roughly $200-400. I told them I would be wearing flats so that the appropriate length could be determined then and there. When the dress came in, I was given a paper list of "recommended" seamstresses that an employee informed me the store works with regularly. When I went to their seamstress, I was quoted a whopping 900 dollars for alterations. I was only able to ultimately get this down to $850 (750 + tax) with the seamstress. When I called S&B, the staff initially expressed their horror at this quote and offered to call around to other seamstresses. They were able to produce an alternative option which was also $750, so not a huge help. In my conversations with S&B, I told them the cost had been a huge surprise, especially given that I was measured at the store before placing the order AND I had been quoted a MUCH lower price range for alterations. I told them I had no expectation that S&B should cover the cost of the alterations in their entirety, but that it seemed more than reasonable to have them cover some portion of the cost. I was told someone would get back to me. When someone did eventually get back to me (not quickly) the script appeared to have changed and I was told that $750 was actually a GREAT price and that the measurements that had been taken for me had been "bang on". I pointed out that if this was true, I wouldn't be spending such a significant amount on tailoring the dress. At this point, I was told that I hadn't paid for "custom measurements" and that the dress was therefore not perfectly fitted. What I find most irksome about that is I felt that in the haste to rush through appointments, none of that was ever explained to me, until I was knee deep in the cost of modifications. I am still mystified at how you can go to a reputable store and buy an expensive dress and have no one even go through the basics. When I was at my appointment, the owner came in and talked about how grateful/appreciative S&B is of its customers. This felt hollow when the business appeared to do nothing to rectify the issue when one arose. I wanted to like S&B but in my view, a good business will work with you to find solutions when there is a problem and that was certainly not my experience here. I could not recommend this store. read more

I bought my wedding dress from Sash & Bustle a couple of months ago. While I was pleased with the price and the style of the dress, the service was a disappointment. When I picked up the dress -- a size 0 based on measurements taken by Sash & Bustle a few weeks earlier -- it was far too tight at the waist and nearly impossible to zip up. But rather than addressing my concerns and presenting me with some options, the salesperson immediately responded that the store had ordered a size I had agreed to. The defensive response surprised me, not just because it was unhelpful, but also because the size had been ordered based on measurements taken by the store. When I pointed this out, the salesperson showed me an iPad screen with my signature, to prove to me what I already knew -- that I had agreed to the size that was ordered. After some back and forth, the salesperson finally acknowledged that it was tight and showed me there was some room to take out the dress at the waist. She then expressed to me that Sash & Bustle doesn't do alterations -- a fact that she told me was surely explained to me when I ordered the dress. Bewildered, I removed the dress and left with it -- though, not before the salesperson absentmindedly stepped on the train, in her shoes, while helping me unzip. A week later, I chose the location nearest me on what I thought was a sheet of recommended tailors that I'd been given by Sash & Bustle. But it turned out that this one particular business only does dry cleaning. Based on the recommendation of another bridal store, I found someone who was able to take the waist out by a full inch -- at a significant cost. But I will never forget the poor service I received when buying my wedding dress at this store. At no time during my interaction with the Sash & Bustle salesperson did I feel like I was being taken care of by experienced, caring staff. After I shared my experience with the store manager, they apologized and quickly gave me a $100 redemption for the alterations. It was nice to have, but it was nowhere near the amount I paid. Overall, I just hope they train their staff to be more understanding of their clients, who are making a large, important purchase, and could use some empathetic service. read more

I second Samantha's comment. Your business is driven by customer service FIRST and then your dresses second. Hallie's behavior demonstrated disrespect, bad manners, and not client oriented. Having been in the business for such time, it is your company's task to plan the itinerary so that clients are able to have the full experience without being rushed. So to use your "back to back appointments" to justify Hallie's behavior shows that Sash & Bustle are only concerned for their bottom line. read more

I really, really wanted to love Sash & Bustle. Their gowns are gorgeous, the space is MADE for Instagram, and all the staff were warm, lovely, and welcoming. I didn't buy my wedding gown here, but I made a bridesmaid's appointment for my sister, who is my maid of honour and only attendant. We found an absolutely stunning Hayley Paige Occasion gown that made her look like a supermodel. The consultant told us that a mid-July order would be tight for a mid-October wedding but with a rush for an additional $40 it could be done, and that it would arrive early to mid-September. However, today the store manager called me to say that this timeline was completely wrong and the gown wouldn't arrive until the beginning of October at the absolute earliest, and possibly not even before the date of the wedding. Needless to say, I'm incredibly upset. After spending a full day on selecting a maid of honour gown, we now have absolutely nothing to show for it and have to begin this whole process from scratch. I'm glad the store manager double-checked the timing before placing the order and called me to confirm, and of course the store will be fully refunding the deposit we paid for the gown, but I'm extremely disappointed. This dress was incredibly gorgeous, just so classy and beautiful, and I was so happy to have checked this task off my planning list. Based on my experience, I don't think I can recommend Sash & Bustle, at least for Bridesmaids. read more

I should have paid more attention to Brittany N.'s review. The summation of her review was: she was treated poorly, and no compensation was made for the mistake that the salon made. No proper apology, just the customer being punished for the salon's own bad business. In my six years of being a Yelp elite, I have only given 16 establishments 1 star. That means that about 3% of my reviews get 1 star. I always, always let the business correct their mistake before I write a review, because I believe mistakes can be corrected. Most businesses do value customer service, especially when they are in a competitive market at a high price point. The owner of Sash & Bustle, Vanessa, not only did nothing to correct the bad business decisions she made, but she actually treated us worse as time went on. First, I will briefly describe my actual experience trying on dresses (something Vanessa asked me to review when I let her know that I was going to be writing a review). My consultant kept answering phones and greeting guests and disappearing from the consultation. Charlie pulled a dress for me and asked if I liked it, I said yes. When I came back to the change room, it was gone. She said another bride had taken it and was trying it on. Even though I ended the appointment with over 20 minutes left, I never got to try that dress on again. There was no explanation, I even asked where it went, just that the other bride took it. In general, this was already a subpar experience, especially compared to the high level of customer care we received at Kleinfeld's (which surprised me, a big box shop being better than a boutique). At the very end of the consultation, my mom slipped in their store. They have beige hardwood, and a beige carpet, and a small step, so if you miss it, you slid with your socks and can fall. I know other people have fallen because all the sales women ran over and said, "Oh, we've fallen there, we always knew someone would fall there!" etc. (They make you take off your shoes) After we left (when my mom could finally stand up, with ice), the salon never called up to check on us. I called them, and they called me back, and then Vanessa said, "Oh I was just calling to see how your mom is doing!" as if she'd initiated the calls. She then said she'd "never been through something like this" in her personal or professional life - uhm, I've also never heard my mother scream like that before either? She said, "What do you want from me?" and I said I had no idea, and she said she wanted a day to think about it. It was always about the legality of this issue for her and never about us as customers. She made my mother take out time for her own personal life to meet with her insurance, to, "cover my own bum". When I expressed my displeasure at how we were being treated, Vanessa just said we could always come back in as they are "all things bridal" - i.e. feel free to stop by anytime and drop $4000 and don't let the harrowing sound of your mother screaming at the top of her lungs deter you. I work at a place where customers have injured themselves and we go above and beyond to make them want to come back. I am letting all the brides out there know that you should read through the reviews to this salon and realize you have tons of choices out there where you may want to spend your thousands of dollars...places that run like a proper business. A good response would have been, "Come back and we will have a do over and make your experience great!" No cost to them, just common business sense. Good luck to you, S&B. read more

I loved my experience at Sash & Bustle! I was having two weddings in two countries, due to this, I required two wedding dresses. While I ultimately only bought one wedding dress here I highly recommend the experience! For the most part, I find the dresses that are on the nicer side here range in price from 2500-5000, most often being around the 3500-4000 mark. If you don't want to spend this amount for your dress I don't recommend coming here. The experience is great, you get 1 on 1 consultation and for the most part they really try to limit the number of people in the store at all times, so you really don't see other brides what there trying on, their bridal party or have any distractions. The store is also set up super beautifully and is very elegant and makes you feel beautiful during the process! The stylists are also incredibly kind - I had a couple people with me at one of my appointments, and the larger fitting room seating area was available after another party had left, and the stylist moved us mid appointment to make it more comfortable for us. Very thoughtful! I REALLY appreciated this, there were SO many places in Toronto (Ferre Sposa) that had such an awful experience for this reason alone. It was very intimate here and I loved it! That being said, Sash and Bustle definitely is for the modern bride. The bridal selection is not everyone's cup of tea, but has a very airy, whimsical, sexy, sophisticated, and vibrant feel for the modern bride. You're not going to find much of traditional bridal silhouettes here, which I preferred! But it's not for everyone. If you want something that fits your body properly, is elegant and sexy but modern, I recommend here! The staff also for the most part are very good. I visited 3 times and had only one consultant that I could say she probably was confused what she was doing. However, she was training and has some assistance during the process from another stylist I had worked with before. No complaints at this point because I already knew the dress I was getting. But the stylist prior I worked with was excellent, she was so much better then other stylists at other locations. I came here thinking I wanted a specific type of dress and didn't really have any ideas of styles, fits, or anything! The stylist I had was amazing at trying to narrow down what I was actually looking for and I fell in love with a completely different type of dress that she suggested!. The stylist that I worked with was very good at understanding what I liked and didn't like about a dress and directing me in a direction that would fit more what I was looking for. Ended up buying my dress here and couldn't be happier! I would highly recommend checking this place out! They are also not overly pushy to sell items which is such a relief and makes the experience so much better! read more

I I would not recommend this experience to anybody. Although the consultants are nice, they are too pushy. They urge you to size way up saying that bridal sizes are different. The senior consultant even wrote on my file that I did not go with the size she recommended because she recommended going 6 sizes above my usual dress size. I wanted to go smaller and felt uncomfortable with the size they recommended but they spent a lot of time talking me out of it and telling me it is a bad idea. Then I got my dress, and of course it is way too big, and a consultant told me "it's ok because most people gain weight due to stress". They totally sold me a dress to alter, not a dress to fit and love and alter if needed. At this rate I should have just gotten a used dress at a bigger size and had it altered. The tip option is put on the day you say yes too as opposed to after you receive the dress. Little did I know how ill fitting the dress would be. It is all up to my seamstress now, because as of now it fits like a potato sack. Customer service once you have bought the dress is horrible. They pretty much tell you that at the end of the day, despite what the expert consultants say, the decision is yours and you should have gone against what they said. Ultimately true, but this is still horrible customer service. For me, this has been the only negative experience with anything wedding related so far. So if you want to keep your wedding experience positive, do not come here. read more

Came into Sash and Bustle on an afternoon on the weekday and it was quite easy to find. Located on Queen street just a little bit east of Broadview. Smaller bridal store with not much variety in gowns. This store catered to a more flapper style, straight cut wedding gowns. It was definitely not the style I was going for for my dress.. but the service I got was amazing. The consultant I had was patient and was also very helpful in understanding that the style I wanted could not be found in their store. At the end of trying on 4 dresses, I knew none of the style here was the one and I didn't want to waste the consultant's time. She was super understanding and even said that the styles here are different from the classic wedding dresses. She was also super sweet in letting me know about their accessories trunk show happening in April and that I should definitely come back and check that out at that time. Definitely check this bridal shop out if you're looking for a flapper style/ lots of beading/straight cut dress! Their accessories are also super pretty and princessey. Price range is a little bit more expensive then other bridal stores I've been too though. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon under the assumption that I will be the only bride-to-be in the store since this was advertised on their website, however, this was not the case. There were a couple of other groups there already and just seemed like there were a lot of people around. They try to separate the groups as best as they could but it's difficult since the place isn't that big. With that comes the issue with not having all the dresses available to me (since the other groups took a bunch). Other than that, the experience was pretty good - Andrea was super helpful and nice. The dresses are quite unique as well but did not have a lot of variety which wasn't an issue for me. I was able to find a couple of "maybes" and Andrea helped me take pictures of them (since I visited alone) and wrote down the dress names and prices. Definitely worth a visit but perhaps go during the week where there are fewer people. read more

Such a lovely store, and a truly wonderful experience. Patient, friendly consultants who know just what will look good on you. The hour went by too fast! I didn't really believe in "the one", and "you'll know", but a certain Ivy and Aster gown made me burst into tears, much to my surprise. And twice, too! I'm excited to go back and try it again, with more time to adjust the fit and see what it would look like when the size is right. At other stores it felt like I was forcing myself to pick dresses to try on, whereas here it felt like I could have been their for hours and happily tried on every dress they had. Had my first experience at Sash & Bustle today for my cousin and Hallie ruined our experience. She was rude, she told the bridesmaids not to give our input and cut us off when we were speaking. I have been wishing to go to this salon ever since I got engaged - and today was my appointment. I was excited for weeks before. My appointment was at 8:30am Sunday. My crew and I arrived at the shop around 8:15am and no lights on nothing. Store opened at 8:30am so we waited around...and waited. I called twice and left a message, and also emailed about my appointment. Finally someone came to the door and I asked if she worked there - she said she did but didn't have a key - so we continued to wait until the store owner came to let us in. By the time we got in it was around 9:00. Already not a great start to be waiting outside in the chilly weather for at least 40 minutes (since we showed up early - guess that was our mistake). Finally we got in and looked around and waited for them to be fully ready for us. Once we got into our space we grabbed about 5 dresses for me to try on. The consultant was nice (very quiet) and once I got the dress off the hanger and on, she would help fully get me zipped or clipped in. In my whole appointment I only tried on 7 dresses (other appointments I was able to try on many more, at the same type of boutique shops). They did nothing to accommodate the lateness, no extra time - just lucky my other appointments hadn't been earlier or I could have been late! I felt like I was a little rushed around and I wish I could have tried on more dresses - I felt that at other salons I had plenty of time and wasn't watching the clock at all. It wasn't our fault that likely all the appointments were now about 1/2 hour behind because someone didn't show up to open the store on time. I loved the atmosphere of S&B, and I might go back to check out accessories if I'm in the area but coming all the way from Hamilton I don't think I'll make another appointment to try dresses. I wish I could have had the overall great experiences others brides are talking about . Sorry S&B - I was not wowed! read more

I consider myself to be a bit unconventional when it comes to weddings. When looking for a dress I couldn't envision myself wearing white. As soon as I walked into Sash & Bustle it was like heaven. The sales team were attentive, personable and super fun. Although there were MANY dresses I loved, I had a gut instinct that Leanne Marshall would be my designer. I ended up choosing the hand-painted "Raincloud" skirt that has dreamy shades of grey, blue and purple with the "Grandy Topper" that had such intricate detail lace detail with tiny beaded pearls. It had the unconventional wow factor that I loved. It's so unbelievably gorgeous! The absolute perfect dress for me. read more

I visited Sash & Bustle twice to try on dresses for my wedding. I was nervous that it would be above my price point, but was really happy with the selection on the lower end of the price scale. I brought a couple of my bridesmaids as well as my mom and aunt, and we all fit nicely in the back changing area. At my first appointment, I tried on a dress by Robert Bullock and it was a great fit but not the right dress. I found a style by Bullock online I liked better and Sash & Bustle organized for the designer to ship it to their boutique. It ended up being the one I bought! My maid of honor wasn't there when I tried on "The Dress" so they fit me in for a super quick appointment just so I could show her! It was really lovely and we were able to snap a few more photos. The process to pick a size, buy the dress, and pick it up was really simple. The dress came right on time and they provided a great garment bag to take it home in. The two sisters that own it are great and their staff is really knowledgable and friendly. It feels like they remember every bride! read more

Sash & Bustle is a beautiful small boutique with an amazing selection. I went in looking for a particular dress I saw from instagram and came out with something completely different but even better. The stylists were friendly and helpful, I love the store itself, and the owners were involved and really nice. Just a wonderful place! read more

Sash and bustle exceeded every expectation. My consultant, Nicole, was incredible, thoughtful and attentive. She was he only person to truly ask about me and my fiancé and what I wanted - and listened!!! It was a fantastic experience and I never felt rushed- thank you S&B team for everything! You guys made my day a dream!!!! Can't wait to see the dress in July! read more

I was only home in Toronto for a weekend and had limited time to try on dresses, I called the store last minute hoping they could squeeze me in and conveniently there had been a cancellation. Prior to my appointment, I thought I knew the exact look I wanted but ended up falling in love with something completely opposite. I would highly recommend trying on styles you wouldn't usually consider. Most importantly and the sole reason I am writing this review, is because of the incredible customer service I received from my stylist, Nicole. She was so genuine, calming, helpful and wasn't pushy at all, which I so appreciated. She was so respectful and only came in to pin me when I was ready. If you can request a stylist, I would definitely call and ask for her availability. Although I'm sure they are all great :) I ended up going to my other appointments both in Toronto and Washington, DC where I live in the winter and I couldn't believe the contrast in service. Every other boutique was unenthused, didn't fluff out the train, nothing. They didn't step out of any of my pictures, and gave no privacy when I was getting changed. I couldn't believe it. I appreciated Nicole then, but even more so after seeing what other stores are like. My dress is ordered and I am SO excited!!! Thank you so much Nicole and Sash & Bustle! read more

Beautiful, gorgeous store and cute design. Very Nice collection of dresses with a mix of classy and modern cuts. I actually figured out the style of the dress that suits me perfectly. However I'm not going back to the shop because of their customer service issues... The experience from start to finish was not the best one I've had. The sales staff were very pushy on me, and were always distracted, when I needed someone to help me, the girl wasn't there often... The staff just constantly kept mentioning about the rush fees and rush alternations I'd have to pay because my weddings "too soon". Got pretty annoyed but this and even though I loved one of the dresses I'm not going back to order from them. Sorry Sash&Bustle, you have beautiful styles, and really nice collections, but the customer care is not at highest there. read more

Went here with a couple of girls to try on bridemaids dresses. Very friendly staff and the boutqiue itself is so nice, lots of nice jewerly, shoes etc. The decor in general is very cute. Lots to pick from - we were fans of the Hayley Paige ones (of course) Overall - I would return in the future for maybe my own wedding dress/bridemaids dress!! Thank you again! read more

I had a terrible experience today at this boutique. They do not accommodate plus size women. I called a month ago and asked, they confirmed repeatedly that they could accommodate plus size clients even though their sample dresses are only size 8 bridal size, or size 4 street size. This important fact was NEVER mentioned. They then try to cram your body into said size 4 dresses regardless if you even like the style. You fill out a questionnaire beforehand with all your information regarding size and styles but it's clear they are only interested in making the sale. They were unprepared, unprofessional, and never apologized. read more

We had an incredible experience at this location. From the minute we walked in we felt welcome. My sister is the bride, and she had a clear vision of what she wanted to wear on her wedding day. Her consultant was Charlie, who was finishing up a sale as we walked in. The lady who greeted us when we arrived explained what was going on and got us set up with clips to indicate which dresses my sister wanted to try on. She apologized profusely for the time delay but we didn't mind because they were so kind. Charlie made her way over to us and introduced herself to everyone in the group (Bride, me, MOH and Mother of the Bride) and told us we could take pictures and offer input. We had another appointment that day and we fully disclosed that to our hostesses. There was no pressure to buy or even to commit to a dress that day, even though the timeline is short by wedding standards. After we had a terrible experience at another shop, Sash & Bustle offered to make a new appointment and were just so kind and accommodating. Although my sister did not choose her dress from Sash & Bustle, there was amazing selection and the service was just wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone who is getting married because you will feel like a queen! read more

I recently picked up my wedding gown from Sash and Bustle and I was very happy with my experience. The staff were honest and professional. Not your average wedding dresses in this store...really nice selection. Definitely recommend them! read more

Ladies, beware, if your budget isn't over $4000,they will make you feel less than welcome. Don't get me wrong, everyone was super friendly when we first walked in, until they asked what my friends budget was. The owner got word of our budget and belittled the bride to be with an unnecessary comment. Rather than asking the bride to be how she felt in a dress, they were quick to have her take it off and try on the next. Seemed like they were eager to make a quick sale. The owner who was super nice and friendly when we walked in, watched us leave without even saying a word to the bride which is just the continued attitude from when she learned about our budget. At that point, even if a dress was found, we wouldn't even have purchased it there just so we wouldn't have to give that place our business. Giving a 1 star for the decor and the consultants minimal efforts. This is supposed to be a time to uplift the bride and make her feel excited about this journey, but unless you walk in with a ballin budget, you won't find that here. read more

I came here with my sister for her wedding dress and had an extremely unpleasant experience. The woman who helped us was very unfriendly, it was almost as if we were wasting her time (and we were close to buying a very expensive dress). Even though my sister found a dress she wanted to purchase, the rudeness of the staff actually prevented her from buying. We went over to LoversLand, had an amazing experience with very friendly staff, and bought a dress there. read more

The level of service I received at Sash & Bustle was truly impressive. While I ultimately ended up purchasing my gown at a shop in my hometown of Ottawa, I wanted to write this review mainly to commend my consultant Veronica. Veronica is just WONDERFUL to work with! I had something very specific in mind, and Veronica was a great listener - ready to go the distance to help me find my dream dress. I came back for two separate appointments, and she even remembered the details of what I had been looking for. She is wonderful at her job - highly knowledgeable of her stock, easy-going and fun. Anyone would be lucky to have her assisting them throughout the process of finding a gown. And finally, the dresses at S&B are just gorgeous. Beautiful, contemporary styles - nothing really compares to it in Toronto. They've got a niche cornered and they truly excel at the unique product and experience they offer. read more
