Had an appointment for this weekend, get a call if I can come in sooner. Never had that experience with Mr. Tire. I made an appointment because that's when I can come in. The person I have dealt with when going there is no longer there. He was very nice customer's loved him and he was very knowledgeable. This was my go to after bad experiences with mechanics. I will not go back to Mr. Tire Middletown. From what I gather many customers are not happy with the change. read more

Probably the worst tire shop ever. Rude, filthy and unhelpful. I can't remember having such a bad experience.

DO NOT GO HERE. Went in for a simple oil change. The place was empty yet it took 4 HOURS to change the oil. I go home and what do you know, on the garage floor there lays a ton of oil under my car. I take the car back and then sit there again for 2 MORE HOURS and they say its good now. 2 days later what do you know, MORE OIL laying on the ground. I take the car back and he makes up some excuse of "your car's oil filter is a non-standard size and thats what's causing it to leak." Luckily after 3 tries it finally held. So if you want to wait 4 hours for an oil change and come back 2 more times because the idiot mechanic can't figure out how to tighten a bolt properly then be my guest. WHAT A JOKE!!! read more

Andrew at Mr Tires help me out a lot at no extra cost other than the time I spent. It was my second set of tires Mr Tires in Tinton Falls NJ failed to give me the proper will alignment. Please do not go there. They had my sons Mercedes for three days just to tell me they couldn't change the engine Mont. They had my wife car and broke the tire bolt. read more

I've always been satisfied with Mr. Tire's service and after my most recent experience, I recommend them to everyone. After AAA in Middletown tried to charge me $1280 for brakes/rotors, I went to Mr. Tire and was charged less than $600. When I declined AAA's service, their manager Drew Miller, interrogated me for declining their service. He was condescending and rude. I drove right to Mr. Tire and scheduled brake service there. Unlike AAA, I was treated with respect and given a more than fair price. They don't try to upsell or swindle money out of you. They tell you exactly what NEEDS to be done on your car. Thank you to the store manager and employees for being kind, fair and understanding. I know I can always trust them! read more

This place is always professional. I had some problems with my truck late in the day. They went above & beyond to make sure that I was taking care of, & I was able to make it to work the next day. They made sure everything was correct. I will always bring my families vehicles here. I will always tell others to bring their vehicles here. This is the place for all your vehicles needs. Thanks mr tire read more

Don't GO THERE. they advertise on the store sign oil change $14.99 When I when to pickup my car the they charges me $24.50 The manager drew said it's not his fault. That is the way the software rings up the oil Chang and I had a problem to call corporate and complain to them read more

They have worked on all of my cars and pickup, They do great work and the prices are average. I never had a problem with any of the repairs. Not to mention when I thought I needed to get tires for my impala he told me not yet maybe in another 10 to 12 thousand miles. He could have lied as I was not sure but he told the truth and sold me the four tires but he didn't so a year later I went back and they got replaced. They have kept my pickup running for 15 years and never did work that wasn't needed. 186000 miles and still runs like a champ. read more

This place is terrible. I was waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes for someone to even help me. Then I go into garage to get someone and he goes okay be out in 2 and doesn't come out for another 15 minutes. Don't even get me started on the over charging for everything. You will go for something so little and they will need up saying you need something else and getting charged and arm and a leg. I highly recommend not going here. read more

I was asked by the sales manager to come on here and give a review of the store after I had my shocks replaced, so here I am. I had an issue a few months ago with a tire leaking air and had to come on 3 separate visits before they finally discovered the issue with the tire. I had to deal with this problem for over 2 months. I drive about 45mins-1hour to work and had to worry everyday not knowing if I would develop a flat or blowout and be late for work. If i developed a blowout on the highway(thankfully i didn't), that would be extremely life threatening and I didn't feel the store was taking my concerns seriously. In my line of work, i'm considered essential personnel and cannot be late as I work in healthcare. On the first two visits they never really looked into the problem with the tire and just stated that they couldnt find anything wrong. Their solution was just to put a glue sealant on the tire thinking that would solve the problem. As the TPMS system kept turning on every few days and I became extremely frustrated and went to the store and demanded that the issue is resolved or I would file a complaint with customer service. I had no recourse to go anywhere else at this time as I had bought my tires from this store a few years ago and that they were responsible for them b/c of the warranty coverage. The store manager on the 3rd visit was finally able to detect the problem which had to do with the rim. I was quoted 200 bucks to have it resurfaced and in no way shape or form was I going to let this store do any more work on my vehicle. I went to Toyota my local dealership for a second opinion and they discovered that the rim indeed needed to be resurfaced however they said that the glue that was put on by mr tire complicated the situation as it would have to be removed and they found it to be quite idiotic since the "glue" or sealant would not solve the problem. Toyota even stated that the glue can actually damage the tires and make it worse. Toyota quoted me only 70 bucks to have the rim resurfaced and the stupid glue to be removed. That's a fair price!, not 200!....In another previous visit I was quoted 170 for the TPMS sensor, in addition to other fees to have a TPMS sensor replaced. I now checked online and the average TPMS sensor for my vehicle is about 50 bucks, not 170!...I feel I overpaid and cheated of my hard earned cash. In addition to this, when I was told I needed shocks to be replaced, I was quoted 300 bucks!. I ordered the shocks from my dealership and I only paid 120. That's a 180 dollar difference. When I went to Mr. tire to have them replaced they charged me 2 hours of labor for 1 hours worth of work. I've never heard of a car shop double charging a customer for labor, the manager was probably angry that I outsmarted him and know how to save money by shopping wisely and doing research. When I had my shocks replaced I was told any damage to them would not be covered by the store. After researching this topic, I have learned that when a car shop takes on an assignment on a vehicle, they are taking responsibility and ownership for the work they do, even if the parts not theirs. Any damage or incorrect installation, the store will take responsibility. Lastly, when I had my shocks replaced, I saw some of the employees smoking near my vehicle in the garage. Common sense will tell you, not to smoke in an area that's highly flammable with different chemicals, gas and so forth. As I sat in my car, I smelled the nasty stench of smoke in my vehicle. I'm assuming most establishments have a no-smoking policy but probably isn't enforced properly. Overall, my experience has not been good, and do not plan to go back to this place. I value my car and well-being and do not trust this place. The pricing is extremely shady and will not spend $1 more dollar. I do feel I should be monetarily re-compensated as I feel that I have overpaid on these services in addition to many hours wasted and I do plan to try and solve things with customer service, if i'm unable too, then I may seek legal action. They also stated in previous visits that I needed a coolant flush. Toyota stated that was a lie. That I needed my battery replaced soon. That was a lie. That I needed my sway bar replaced. That was yet another lie. That I only have 3mm left on my front breaks. Toyota said I had 5mm, yet another lie. That I needed my rotors replaced soon, toyota said they only need to be resurfaced. Another lie. This is potential criminal activity, the potential for theft is high when coming here. The NJ attorney generals office needs to investigate whether recommended services are actually needed. read more

We got a flat tire in early November and came here because it was the only tire center open Sat evening. My husband had a great experience. Two weeks later, a different tire got a flat so I went back. I also had a good experience. That was Thursday, 11/21. Three days later, the TPM went off for the same tire that was fixed on 11/21. The pressure was holding at an ok level so I called and asked if I could come in the following Wed, 11/27 as I had the day off. On Wed 11/27, I went in around noon. There was no one at the front and it took 15min before someone came out to even acknowledge the line of customers. I was told they had no bays open and to come back around 3pm. I arrived again at 3:15pm. Again, no one was at the front desk. I waited another 20min just for the guy to tell me it would be another 10min before he had an open bay. Finally, someone came and took my keys. He recognized me from the week before and asked why I was back. I told him it was the same tire. An hour later, he comes out and tells me that the week before, he found a nail in the tire (which he fixed) and he had seen a box cutter blade but didn't think it would be a problem. Apparently, he was wrong and the blade was what caused the tire to go flat again. When I checked out, I assumed it would be free given it wasn't done correctly the first time but nope, I was asked to pay again. At this point, I was so annoyed, I just paid and left. I will NOT be going back to Mr. Tire ever again. read more

The guys here are nice enough but I have some issues that will keep me from returning. I had over $1000 of work done with them replacing the ignition coils and spark plugs on my car. I came back after the work was finished for a couple of reasons. One of the problems I had, they addressed right away. That was good. Another issue, I noticed on the invoice it didn't specify what parts were used. I want to know what components are used on essential systems in my car for myself and for future owners. I was told that they don't give out that information. Never got that response before from an auto service place. They can't tell me the exact parts they put in my car? Nope, that is their policy according to the manager. I'm not comfortable with that. At all. That's my policy. I also asked them to take a look at a slow leak in my tire, it was about ninety minutes from closing, they couldn't do that either. Ok. Fine. Then the nice guy manager disappeared to take care of something, I waited alone for about 15 minutes, then I left. I had other things to do and it was clear I wasn't going to get the service or answers I went back for. Like I said, they are nice enough but I expect a bit more. So it goes. read more

Honest mechanics are hard to find. I had my car towed here on Father's Day because it was the closest place that was open. I am highly disappointed in the service I received with my vehicle after two days of mechanics attempting to work on my vehicle and performing unnecessary and costly repairs without fixing my vehicle, I brought my car to a reputable mechanic who fixed the problem within an hour. Here's how my journey begins, I come into Mr. Tire after my vehicle idled out twice on route 36. The check engine light was on and it was the Friday after thanksgiving. My usual mechanic was out for the holiday and I needed an immediate repair. He ran the codes and stated that the car needed an engine tune-up and it was need of an oil change so I told him to do that as well. After waiting about 3.5 hours. The tune up was complete and the mechanic drove the vehicle around the block. The check engine light was off. I was advised to drive the vehicle about 50 miles to get the gunk out and the vehicle would run better. Day 2, the check engine light is back on and stall out on 36. I'm tired and exhausted and bring the vehicle back near tears. They perform a smoke test and additional "testing." They inform me that it is a code for an engine misfire. They then inform me that I will need an 02 sensor replaced. I had the sensors both 02 change two years prior one from them and one from other mechanic. I knew this was not the problem, that the young mechanic said it was and I asked if he was sure. He said he would then have another mechanic look at it. After that another mechanic comes out telling me it's the 02 plenum and that I could buy it online and they would replace it. This is another estimated 3 hour ordeal. They drove the vehicle around the block and they said that this was the problem but because it was a misfire code it was a process of elimination. Upset and still in the stalling car, I went home. Today the car is just as dangerous as before but I called my mechanic to see if he could help. He conducted the diagnostic testing and resolved the issue for $159 within an hour and advised me that I was taken for an expensive ride. So we went today to speak with staff. My boyfriend and I first spoke with Jonathan and he said he would call Drew. He then said that the code told the mechanic to do a tune-up which is absolutely incorrect. We were informed to speak with Drew tomorrow. Again day 4 of dealing with irresponsibility and incompetence on Monday. I am absolutely peeved and out $354 for work that did not need to be completed. read more

Mr. Tire- Awful I used to use them quite a bit. Printed out a quote from Pep Boys for a battery and installation, brought the quote to Mr. Tire (closer to my house) Pep Boys quote including installation - $135.00 Mr. Tire wanted to charge me $262.39!!! They have a price guarantee + %5 - not honored! I provided Mr. Tire with the Pep Boy Quote prior to ordering the work so they would know which battery to install!! Their solution after I told them 2x, I am very unhappy - OK we will match the Pep Boys battery price (a BOSCH battery) - excellent battery - who knows what Mr. Tire put in - no paperwork was provided! Please do your self a favor and stay very, very far away from Mr. Tire. read more

While the "price was right" - sometimes you get what you pay for. If the services car needs to return several times, just after the service, - that's not "part of the Warrenty"- that's a service error. 10/9/15- Thank you for the response. Car did return for 3rd time- but, this time they appear to have tried a complete replacement in order to rectify the problem. While being without my car and missing work 3x isn't good- I do appreciate that this time they seem to be trying to fix it. Time will tell- right now, seems as though they tried. read more

Warning stay away they can't even diagnose a rattling lower metal heat shield which all you have to do is hear the rattle and cut them off or replace them. The front desk person is a babbling lying idiot telling me by law I need to get my tpms tire sensors replaced. He spent a long time bragging about how cool his Chrysler PT Cruiser was and how much money he sunk into that piece of garbage. Everyone knows that's one of the worst cars ever made. Why would anyone take car service advice from someone who owns a PT Cruiser. Funny thing I drove by recently and it had a for sale sign on it. Most people are ignorant when it comes to car service so they leave good reviews or maybe most of these are fake. They showed me a dirty air filter which supposedly was mine said it was dirty and needed replacing I declined went home and looked at my air filter it was fine. Also the front desk guy kept licking his god damn fingers while doing the paperwork seriously use a wet freaking sponge or that wax thing most stores use. Spit is not a tool to unstick papers. What a waste of time. Once bitten twice shy. Never again. read more

Went in to my tire today with nothing to out of the ordinary of a question walked in the manager I guess it was ask me "are we in for new tires" and I said no unfortunately I have a weird situation so I told him that I have tires that I only could get from a certain place and only reason was because I had to match what was still good on the truck already. So that's when his story changed. He asked me that if my van was filled I told him not really but I was willing to take stuff out then he told me that he won't be able to do it I was starting to not understand what was going on then he told me that his floor jack was broken and stuff and it was excuse after excuse started being a joke. I was really disappointed because a lot of my family and friends come there for work and then be put through a run around was ridiculous it's just funny that's he asked me if I was in for new tires before I said something then all of a sudden he can't just a joke of a place read more

COMPLETE RIP-OFF. This place is a rip-off. They still play the "oh, well, we found this on your car and decided to fix it for you so the $100 estimate now comes to $900". On top of that their customer service manners are deplorable. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Hi, I would suggest you avoid avoid avoid this nonprofessionals at any cost. No customer service at. all. They do lie on their pricing and try to bill you for more than the service costs. If somehow you decide to go there, then make sure you get a detailed estimate for the service before they do begin the work as they will start the work and in the end you will end up with a huge bill....They have very few tires in stock. Seems like they do get tires from tirerack. Their equipment looks old and outdated. The only attractive service was their website, other then that this place should be closed down. Absolutely horrible. Farthest thing from the "no-hassle" experence they claim to have. The customer service is terrible. On a Sunday with only one car in the garage, I tried to walk-in for a simple oil change. The answer I received from the older attendant was "oh there is absolutely no way we can get that done today, you have to make an appointment." I've been to a number of different auto shops and been in and out in 15 minutes for an oil change. Nonetheless I took the appointment for 9am on a Wednesday. I show up on time, waited inside for 5 minutes with no one coming to greet me, so I walked to the garage door and had to yell inside to ask for help. None of the men working even answered me when I said "Hi, how are you doing, I have an appointment for an oil change," the same man that was there Sunday just turned around, and walked inside. Now as I turn around to walk back inside, a woman had just walked in the front door up to the counter. Instead of notifying her I was there before her and had just asked for helped, the attendant instead ignored me and tended to her first. After he finished with her, the attendant pulled up my info for the appointment, barely said two words to me, took my keys, and then said "have a seat, relax." I asked how long it'd be and he replied "oh at least an hour." The maintenance took well over 2 hours to be finished. The older male attendant I encountered was overall a very unkind and unhelpful person, the time of service for simple maintenance is unrealistic, overall a bad experience and I will never return here again. read more
