Yet another place that lets you make an appointment, but in reality, it means zero. It's all first-come, first-serve, so if you need an afternoon appointment, don't bother. At least the girl at the desk was honest when she said "we will get it in when we can." In my case, I had a 1pm appt on a Thursday in a February. Should be no problem. Right ? Forget it My car was still sitting at 130 , so I left. I called a competitor and went there. Stop. Taking. Appointments. Especially when it's corporate strategy to ignore them intentionally. The good news is the entire staff was enjoying their lunch at a leisurely pace, which of course gave me great relief. Did anyone say anything while I sat there ? No. No they didn't. No one cares. Never. Never. Never again. I suggest you stay away too. read more

Mavis Discount Tire in Wall, NJ is great. It's all about customer service. Giselle is fantastic. I have been in a couple to check some things on my car. They took care of it right away. I couple weeks ago, my tire pressure light was on. I took it in to Mavis. Brittany came right out, put air in the tires to make sure they were at the right pressure and sent me on way. Truly a pleasant experience. Highly recommend. read more

I had a nail in my tire and it needed to be repaired. I was about 60 miles from where I live and my mother suggested Mavis Discount Tire in Wall on Route 35. I am pleased I went. I called in advance and they scheduled me for an appointment that same day. The man in front was Jeff and he was pleasant to my mother and me when we arrived. The repair took about 30 minutes and I was comfortable in the waiting area [which had free water]. These guys handle all types of tire issues. The repair on my tire was $31.98. Some times you walk into a place for something simple and they try to sell you a new tire or FOUR new tires. These guys run a legit business and there was no hard sell to buy anything additional. They removed the nail in my tire and I was out of there in a jiffy. read more

New tire installation starts right on time. All tires installed and several complimentary checks completed in about an hour. No more dealership for me - plan to return for future maintenance. Saved about $450 compared to what the dealership was planning to charge me for the tire installation. read more

Friendly and efficient service. I would recommend for tire repair. And quite reasonable.

Oil Change, Tire Rotation. I have a Fiat 124 Spyder, hard to find a place to do routine work on this car. They always do the work at a reasonable cost and within the stated period of time. They have never tried to upsell me on any items. read more

Wooooow..... Manager CLIFF left me speechless Coming from working over 3 years in the automotive industry this Customer Service is literally hurting this business daily. I call to ask if I can get a oil change and alignment but asked if I could give him the oil and filter to use. Reason be they are OEM parts I've had surplus of. No issue paying labor on this and also wanted to do the alignment because it's 2 jobs... BUT this Manager CLIFF literally gets mad on the phone. Then says one second and comes back too Tell me $189 because he's mad..... LOL What a joke - stay away from this place read more

They are professional and super fast, always the best service and good price! I will be back!

Mavis got me in the day I called for a tire issue, an hour before closing. The employees were all super nice and went above and beyond to help me out. The assistant manager Michael was so respectful, helpful and knowledgeable. During an unpleasant time of tire issues, the Mavis staff made it very tolerable and fixed all my issues. I highly recommend looking into Mavis for all your car needs/ troubles. read more

I had a slow leak in my front left tire. I called Mavis and they said they had an immediate opening. So I filled the tire with air and headed to Mavis in Wall Twp. I met Keith the on site manager and he was very professional and attentive. After a few car and personal info questions off the car went to get repaired. My tire was fixed in less then 20minutes and Thanks to Keith and his crew I was on my way!! Thank you for the expeditious and courteous service. read more

This Mavis location is not customer friendly and would definitely NOT recommend using them. My son got tires put on and I wanted to pay for them with my cc via phone like people do to buy things everyday on cc via phone or internet. This location refused to take my cc over the phone to pay for the tires. But this was after all the work was done, my son was NOT advised by Mavis of this policy PRIOR to the work being done. So they did the work then left us no choice as far as payment, which is deceitful to the customer. Makes you wonder what other back door things they do or make money on, if they are comfortable doing this to a customer. Find another tire and service place! There several other very good ones in the area. read more

Always trust the work done on my car here. The staff is great and the prices are fair. Don't ever feel like I'm being strongarmed or forced to pay for unnecessary repairs. Definitely reccomend! read more

Sunday 10am appt for 2 new tires turned into that plus new brakes. Mark and Keith were great. There was no attempt at upselling and the team went to great lengths to make sure my car was safe for my kiddos when I left including charging up the battery. I was even able to hide from..AHEM..wait for the car and not come back another day as they completed all this in about 2 hours!! I need to also emphasize the value..there is nowhere that could compare price wise AT ALL. I was so surprised that I paid so LITTLE. read more

They charge me 40% over thier quote and broke a bracket on my brake system and had to hold my car for a week. They told me the part would be in on Tuesday and when I took the day off of work and called them aroubd 3:30 that day, the told me it wasn't scheduled to come in for another few days... thier communication was awful and they left me high and dry. They quoted me $700 and a week later when it was finally done, they charged me $1014. If you charge a customer 40% more than you quote them, that's not a mistake, that is an integrity issue. Really awful and insulting. I hope this saves someone the trouble of being put through what they did to me read more

Had four new tires put on. Price was fair and service was good. Keith and the manager helped me and they were very professional.

Bring my work vehicles here they do a great job every time wether it's tire problems or oil changes they always have me covered

Ordered 4 tires online on a Thursday... arrive the following Monday at 9:30 as scheduled and they only have 2 tires and the other 2 were cancelled? Not by me, so I choose tires in stock and leave the car. Drive by at 1:00pm and see the car on the lift, but they said it won't be ready until 6:00pm when they close. We are new to the area, and thought this would be a good choice. Sad to say we will be looking elsewhere. read more

I got a screw in one of my tires that was actively leaking, in which I went to this store right before closing. They were so kind and squeezed me in to get my tire fixed so I could get home safely. They replaced a valve stem that other tire places said couldn't be replaced without getting a pressure sensor and reprogramming all four tires. Here the sensor was magically fine and my total cost was $13 after a $10 off discount they had going! No pressure sensor light since my visit and my couple month old tire has been just fine since. Will recommend and be back for all future tire needs! read more

I was towed there. They recommended and pushed hard for unneeded work. I sensed something so had the emergency repair and took it to my mechanic. Nothing more was needed. read more

Came in to get 4 new tires. Said they had in stock. After they take off my old tires, and they realize they only have three. I have to wait for an extra hour+ for someone to go get the 4th tire. Really? Kinda minor leaguers, don't you think? Customer service is not what I expected. Mechanics with no real sensitivity to my time. And, btw, the price wasn't as marked down as I would've expected. "America's discount tire store" my ass. At least in the end they did heavily discount the entire job, but make sure you deal with the head manager there, Ray. read more

DO NOT bring your vehicle to this location!!!!! I have had some minor things done to my car, and they seem to always screw it up. I think the only thing I'd trust them with is filling holes in tires... if that. On an even heavier note, my 95 year old grandmother brought her car in to get her breaks fixed... $2,300 LATER, I found out that instead of FIXING her breaks, they screwed them up and her breaks gave out while I was driving it. If she had driven her own car that day, she could have potentially gotten into an accident, or worse... They half-ass everything, they are ridiculously unreliable, and I don't trust them at ALL. I REPEAT. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION! Not a trustworthy business. Bring it elsewhere. read more

I love an honest businesses! My wife got a flat tire on her new ride the other day. I looked and thought it was possibly a little more then just a simple puncture. I priced out a new tire at about $200 and expecting a new one was gonna end up on her car regardless of if she really needed it. My wife called an hour or so later. All done. Hole plugged. Cost $21. Its busy there. SHe waited a bit, but well worth it. Appreciate the honest service. read more

On October 8, 2022, I brough my teenage sons Jeep Patriot to Mavis 1906 Route 35, Wall, NJ. At this time, I explained to the service Desk that at higher speeds the steering wheel is shaking. We asked them to look at the car and to please call us with the issue. They called and had a list of things needed to fix the car. The total was $2019. We were shocked and asked if they felt that was all necessary and would fix the problem. They said YES, we figured Mavis is known for brakes and tire and they must know what they are doing. We said yes and we said OK go ahead with repairs. The repairs were 4 new tires (needed), wheel alignment, brake pads front and back, calipers and some miscellaneous charges stated on the bill. We picked up the car and for a few days seemed ok. My husband and son were driving together, and the car started to shake and then smoke coming from the tires where breaks are. We called Mavis and the blamed it on faulty parts and said they would redo the entire job. My husband emphasized the calipers also. The technician said yes, the entire job. So, they call and say car is ready, they tell us they replaced EVERYHING. Now my son is alone and driving home from school on the parkway and the car starts to make a loud noise, shakes, and now is smoking a lot. Same issues. Now we are both at work and he is stranded for 2 hours until we can get to him. Unacceptable and shame on the technicians for not being thorough. He could have been hurt or hurt someone else driving on the Parkway. So, we take car back to Mavis and they say that they fixed the car, but that the real problem is we need a master break cylinder. I am so disturbed by this experience. So 2gs and the real issue was not even fixed? This is fraud. I have contacted The Better Business Bureau and if I do not get some sort of recognition to this email, I will blast this story everywhere possible. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Mavis is everywhere. People like me go there for the reputation and we as the customer expect you to guide us and help us. Do you want your child driving around in an unsafe vehicle because of incompetency? I don't think so. I would like my money back from Mavis, so I can take the car to someone else and get it fixed the right way. read more

If you have ever wished that you could waste your only day off, and the only thing you leave with at the end of four hours that you did not have before is grease all over the interior of your car, then this is the place for you. Made an appointment three days in advance. Tires were ordered and I was told they would be there when I arrived. Showed up early for the appointment, not that that stopped the gentleman behind the service desk from checking in people before me who did not have an appointment mind you. Finally I'm checked in and I am told that it would be about an hour. One hour turns into four before I am called to the desk, "sorry sir, tires were never ordered by our "call center". I immediately dial the number I had called three days prior, needless to say, the phone rings and the genius standing in front of me picks up the call. Call center my ass. What a bunch of mouth breathing miscreants. read more

STAY AWAY! Couldnt even get my new tires (that I purchased with them) balanced after 3 tries. Attempts to contact home office was met with silence/no response from them. I will say they did not charge me for the 2nd & 3rd balancings but I wouldnt have expected anything less. read more

Couldn't have asked for better. 1st time there, brought car in to an overflowing parking lot at 11AM on a weekend (packed obviously because they are so good). had a ton of work done including brakes, rotors on all four wheels (with lifetime warranty on pads). changed out a road hazard warranty covered damaged tire at no cost or hassle. did a full synthetic oil change and had everything done at very good price quoted and on time promised for completion... I came here based on reviews originally as there are others in my traveling routes..... I will be coming back again and highly recommend them :) read more

Gota a quote yesterday from "Tommy" for pads and rotors. Showed up this morning and the manager, "Chris", wouldn't honor the price. He started out $80 high per axle, then 50 ... as I was driving away, he called my cell and tried to argue for "only" $20 more, per axle. I told him that if he didn't meet the quoted price, we didn't have any business. Advice: AVOID this company. I've had great experiences with STS/Mavis in the past, but something's changed with the ownership/management here. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I went in for the free tire rotation. The service manager comes out tells me that there is a chunk out of my passenger side front brake pad. He then brings me in to tell me that the driver side caliper is not working which is causing the passenger side caliper to jab into the passenger brake pad. $500 to fix. Fortunately they did not have the parts. I left and went to my regular mechanic. He checks out my car and says that there is nothing wrong with the brakes.. MAVIS is Corrupt. Do not use them. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. The guys who run this store are complete crooks. They advertise great deals in tires but when you leave you have more wrong with your car then when you came in. My finance went to get new tires and left with 4 broken tire sensors and when we brought it back they said it wasn't their fault and charged him over $200 to fix it. The he drives away with another tire pressure light on and the check engine light on. Absolutely absurd that they are taking 0 responsibility and are complete unethical. They also broke every screw on his hub cap because they said they couldn't get them off if they didn't break all of the screws...which did not need to be done. read more

One star for quality of service. Last year after a routine oil change and tire rotation the service tech left my left rear wheel lugs loose. Tire almost fell off about 1/2 mile away. I decided to give them a second chance. 06/01/2019 oil change and rear brakes. Simple job for most shops. Service tech left my right rear brake caliper loose. One mounting bolt fell out and the brake caliper was bouncing around. I can only imagine if I was on the parkway with my wife and 2 small children what could have happened if the brakes came completely apart. Poor Poor Poor quality. Use this shop at your own risk! Still waiting for a call from the service manager. Holding my breath! read more
