He had it up on the hoist and showed me the problem. He fixed it right up and as a bonus, repaired 2 hanging pieces that needed fasteners. Total cost was amazingly reasonable and affordable. Job well done!!! He also gave it a basic inspection and pointed out a bit of tire wear and gave advice. Appreciated! Would highly recommend this family owned business!

Earned Trust Friendly Service…read more Timely Knowledgeable Communication Cleanliness I had issues with my exhaust system that needed to be addressed and was expecting headaches, delays, mechanic mumbo-jumbo, and wallet-pain. Nothing could be further from the truth at Brick's Best. When I arrived at Brick's Best, I was greeted immediately by friendly faces who took my appt right on time. They invited me to have fresh coffee with cold Milk, some packaged snacks, and a sparkling clean bathroom. They diagnosed my issue in less than 10 mins and discovered another issue that I didn't expect and said they would fix that too. They promised it would be done before I left...and within an hour, it was done. They even took the initiative to replace my loose plastic engine plugs at no addl. When you go, ask for Reeves or his son, or trust anyone who works for Brick's Best. He's an old school mechanical magician with a new-school emphasized attn on customer service whether you are a motor-head or a mechanical menace like myself who relies on trusting the professionals not to rip me off! I promise you that any expectations you have will be surpassed. The whole team at Brick's Best valued my time, my auto needs, and my pocketbook. Thank you Reeves! Sincerely, Joe P

Dropped off the car, got a couple of update texts with digital photos during the day. They diagnosed the problem as a brake fluid leak. I didn't like the look of some other parts in the photos, so asked them to do the extra work. Picked up the car the next day; brakes were just as soft as when I brought it in!! I called and brought the car right back. Didn't have a ride home, ‍ but they were nice enough to offer me a ride home. Pretty disappointed as a first time customer. Will update when I finally get the car back.

Catastrophic negligence…read more Improperly torqued drain plug destroyed my engine I had my oil changed at Whiting Auto Center on Dover Rd. One day before my next scheduled oil change--roughly three months later--the oil drain plug completely fell out while I was driving on the parkway. Every warning light came on, the engine lost all oil, and it completely shut down and was destroyed. My mechanic inspected the vehicle and confirmed the drain plug had fallen out while driving. It had clearly been undertightened/improperly torqued during the last service, slowly seeping oil over those three months until the vibrations on the highway finally vibrated it completely loose. Whiting Auto Center was the last shop to perform an oil change on this vehicle, yet they are denying all responsibility for the catastrophic failure caused by their work. A routine oil change should not result in a destroyed engine. Their failure to properly secure a drain plug and their refusal to take accountability for the resulting damage is unacceptable. I strongly advise taking your vehicle elsewhere!
