Be sure to do your research before you take your car in for repairs here as only 30 miles after changing the fluid in my transmission it failed and they gave me no reason for the failure as the tec doing the work said the original fluid was clear no burnt smell or particles in it but they charged me $6629.00 for a rebuilt transmission and within a day it developed a vibration between 35 and 40 mph. I researched it with Jasper Transmissions who did the rebuild and also with the Tex's at Wall Ford and both said it was a common problem that could be rectified with a $14 fluid additive that takes about 10 minutes to install. I informed Bradley's of the vibration problem and of the conversations with Ford and Jasper and dropped my vehicle off believing they would just add the additive and Gary of Bradley's. Gary phoned me later saying he wanted me to take my truck to a specialist, which I was to pay for, claiming it was probably something in my differentials or transfer case. When I restated to Gary that it was a problem only between 35 and 40 mph and if it was to do with other parts of the drive system it would not appear and then disappear it would be constant. Gary was arrogant and argumentative I believe because I had taken the intuitive to research the problem and told he's as they had just charged my over $6000.00 for a transmission that Bradley's should resolve the issue. Gary said he would but he would charge me for it, I was taken aback by his arrogance and then he said "why don't you do it yourself" and "put that stuff in and let me know how you make out". Between my wife's car and my truck over a 2 months period we paid Bradley's over $10,000.00 in repairs, well because of Gary's ignorance, arrogance and narcissistic attitude they lost two good customers we will never go back there. warning even with the other good reviews do your investigation of your vehicle problem before giving Bradley's a chance to do your work. After confirming with both Ford and Jasper Transmissions I purchased the additive and installed it myself, problem fixed so Bradley's lost 2 customers for $14 and 10 minutes work seems a bit stupid to me and totally not in the interest of good customer relationship. read more

Gary and Steve could not have been more knowledgeable, accommodating, efficient, skilled or professional. After quickly identifying and repairing my busted air conditioning system, they performed their standard 27-point check and they alerted me to a condition of my back shocks. They took the time to email a clear and concise explanation of the issue and let me know that it was a pending, but not immediate condition. They laid out eventual consequences of foregoing repair at that time, without pressuring a decision. On top of the respect they regard their customers, they're stand up and kind people. AVOID!! I have been a licensed driver for over 50 years, having required dozens and dozens of repairs of many classic cars and many not so much (does the GMC Pacer come to mind?) so....I never experienced such a negative experience. My personal advice is, with all the choices available, in the Red Bank and Monmouth County , there is no need to subject yourself to this. I won't get into the details, but if you are my generation you understand the words "rip off". When I asked for just a partial refund, I was told to take my cars elsewhere. Good advice. I had to get my side mirror replaced after it was knocked off on a side street. I called Bradley's and they were so friendly (mechanics usually aren't that's for sure). They told me to come in and they'd take care of it. I called around to other auto body shops and was quoted 300+ for my mirror however Bradley's offered to try and find a used part and they did. Including labor they only charged me 175. It is so refreshing finding a mechanic who is not only honest, but super friendly and helpful. Everyone I came in contact with there was awesome. I would highly recommend them to anyone and they will be the only place I go back to if I ever have another issue with my car. read more

A little over a year ago I bought a Camry second-hand from a friend and have usually taken it to the AAA in Eatontown for general maintenance work. The last time I had an oil change they ran the codes and told me that I would have to get my entire catalytic converter and leaky radiator replaced or I would fail my next inspection, and quoted me $2300. So when the check engine light popped at EXACTLY the right time to cause my inspection to fail, I panicked and assumed that I would have to throw a ton of money at my poor little car to keep it street legal... ...enter Bradley's Auto Service, who diagnosed it as a simple exhaust leak. For less than the price of what AAA quoted me for the radiator alone they repaired the leak, replaced the radiator, and re-inspected the car (it passed this time, wooohooo!) in one afternoon. Now I don't have to worry about being pulled over, having poor commuters get stuck behind me while merging on the parkway because it takes fifteen minutes to get up enough inertia to go the speed limit, or waking up the whole neighborhood while driving down the street. And the whole thing has stopped shaking like it's about to explode which is a nice perk too I guess. Thank you Bradley's Auto! I am eternally grateful for your honesty and efficiency. Everyone always tells me that I can potentially get another 100k miles out of this car if I have it cared for properly and I was incredibly skeptical until today. What a huge relief. read more

The absolute worse car service I've ever experienced. The girl at the front desk is clueless and has horrible customer service. Upon pick up, she lost my keys after misquoting me twice for my car repairs. Also, I've never paid for a diagnostic check in addition to the repair price. The owner has been doing repairs for my family for years and we always loved his service until now. He admittedly double charged me for the parts used on my repair. I had my starter replaced on my Audi Q5. He found a starter for 250 then charged me 517 for parts and 300 for labor, on top of my 65 diagnostic fee. The Audi dealer quoted me $100 less than Bradley's Auto. They are very misleading and sneaky. Proceed with caution. read more

I had to do this. I cannot recommend this shop enough!!! My Kia Sorento would suddenly loose power on the highway. I lost count of how many times driving skill or shear luck has saved my life. I have taken the car to four mechanics and five Kia dealerships most recently Nemet Kia who where the service mana. was rude and defensive. All he had was reasons why not to do anything else. I feel that unless u are under warrenty...they can't be bothered. I told him the problem had to be in the fuel tank. He dismissed this then said for 500.00 plus he would drop the tank. He made me so angry with his lack of interest in fixing something so dangerous!!!! Gary made my car his spec. project and was determined to find the cause. He entered the fuel tank through an access point under the passenger seat and after emptying the tank found foriegn particles blocking the fuel pump. I just drove upstate 200 miles to visit friends and the car was perfect!!! Notice he did this without dropping the tank! The difference between a mediocre pilot,mechanic or surgeon vs. a stellar one is LIFE or DEATH! If you think a vehical needs to be repaired and maintained correctly....take it to Gary Bradley and tell anyone you value to do the same. read more

Bradley's Auto is great! My brakes went metal to metal in just a few days so I was desperate for a mechanic. I brought my car right to a shop that was recommended to me by an acquaintance. They called me the next day with an estimate of almost $1,000. I was stunned and told them to hold off on doing the work so I could call around for other quotes. A coworker suggested Bradley's so I took a chance with a place I was unfamiliar with. They gave me an estimate for what I told them I needed (according to the first shop) and it was over $400 cheaper for the same parts to be changed, including labor. I dropped my car off around 5:30pm on Thursday so they could look at it first thing Friday morning. After looking at it, Gary (the owner) called me with a quote of $321. He told me I did not need all of the work that was said therefore saving me a lot of money. His shop had my car done and as good as new by 3pm the next day. He also filled out a rebate for me from the brake manufacturer to get an additional $25 off. Bradley's Auto saved me close to $700 by being honest. I would recommend them to anyone. I will definitely be going back for anything necessary, even oil changes. If you haven't been there, give it a try. It saved me a lot of money and a huge headache. read more
