I've been taking my cars to this Mr. Tire for about 12 years. I'm extremely happy with their service. The shop is extremely busy but that's to be expected from a shop that provides great service and resolves the problem once. I've taken my modern as well as a classic car there for service. Not once has my classic vehicle been turned away which is what many other shops have done. The rates are reasonable and the customer is always treated with respect. If I could give 0 stars I would. The guy I just spoke to was rude as hell. Tried to tell me my tire size does not exist, mind you it does (sports car speciality tire). My advice is to train your representatives to speak to people with respect! Not tell them their tire doesn't exist after repeating multiple times what it is AND ignoring the fact I have purchased this specific tire for over 7 years now - with the tire size I was giving being told doesn't exist!! I came here for a full 4 tire replacement/ alignment. I ordered my tires through Amazon so they sent them to the store directly, so I only had to come in to do the tire replacement. The shop is very clean on the inside. I came in the morning and was told the job would take 1 hour - 1 hour/30 minutes. The job started at 9:30 and it ended a little after 11:30 so it took about 2 hours, not a huge deal. The job was fine and the tires looked good, but the only thing I unfortunately noticed later on was that all 4 of the tire stem valve sleeves were missing (pictures attached) I can buy replacements on Amazon for cheap but the fact that they didn't put them back, especially all 4 is very weird almost intentional. Timely service and communication. A notice to everyone this is a vehicle shop for maintenance not a diner or store, their profession is working on machines, not working to give you spa level customer service. I did have to wait for a few minutes but all the technicians were busy,but once Stu came out he was quick to ask how he could be of service. I brought up having an appointment and only needing an alignment and balance. A customer called and he did a really good job communicating with that person over the phone and since it was not busy my service was completed in less than an hour. He let me know about the cost of "exotic" alignment due to my Tesla requiring extra labor for accessing everything which was appreciated. Thank you guys and Stu you run a good shop. read more

I made an appointment for 11 AM and asked the front desk if they were going to start working on my car soon close to 12 PM and was told that my appointment time online doesn't mean anything and I have to wait with anyone who walked in. I wonder why they would even have appointment times online and you specifically indicate whether you're gonna leave your car or wait. Strange. read more

Don't even bother, trust the reviews!!!! The online system says there are appointments and tires in stock, which apparently is a lie. Then, the neighboring Mr. Tire down the road says they don't even stock run-flats and have to order. Meanwhile, this Mr. Tire says they have them and can install tomorrow. Always helpful when the trust reveals itself. 1- Fix the online system or get rid of it. 2- Be transparent and honest. 3- Avoid at all costs. read more

This used to be my favorite shop. Unfortunately, the staff is completely different now: unprofessional AND incompetent. I should have realized that things changed when I got an alignment done and they returned the car with the rear suspension untouched and still out of spec. When I asked why, they said it was not possible to do. In disbelief, I took it to the dealer where they did it without a problem. But I didn't learn my lesson and returned to get 4 new tires installed here. I had an appointment for 10 am. They did not even take the car to the back much before 12 pm. In the end, I waited 4 hours. What is the point of an appointment if they don't hold your place and just put you at the end of the line behind walk-ins? Can you imagine if that happened in a restaurant?!? When I got the car back, I noticed that the lift arm did not clear the bottom of the car and put a dent in the plastic trim that runs along the bottom edge. I complained about the damage. The shop would take no action and told me to contact their corporate office (Monro, Inc.) to file a claim. They gave me a 1-800 number to call. At this point I left, but I had to return immediately because the low tire pressure warning came on. One of the tires was visibly running very low on pressure and three of the tires did not even have valve caps on. I called Monro a couple days later only to find out that the number I was given is no longer in service. I called the customer service extension number the corporate office displays on their website. Guess what? It is "not a valid extension". These people really don't want you to speak to them! Finally, I did manage to talk to the corporate office. I talked to a rep who said they will forward my case and someone will be in touch. Nothing for a week. I called again. I was asked if the tire shop started a claim. (Ah, so now it turns out that was an option, but when I asked the shop to do it they lied to me instead, told me I have to contact the company and sent me on this wild-goose chase. Nice!) I was transferred to the claims department where my call was sent straight to the voicemail. The announcement promised a call back in 24 hours. Again, nothing for a week. I called one more time. Needless to say, I never got a call back. This shop failed to do correctly even the most basic things a tire shop can be asked to do. But it is the extremely poor customer service in the shop and in the corporate office that is infuriating. By the way: Monro, please don't bother copy-pasting your standard "Please give us a call ... We would like to get more details and provide further assistance" response to my review. I know you wouldn't! If you really want to provide assistance, you know how to reach me! Mr Tire was the only tire service center in my area able to mount a run flat Pirelli P-zero tire on my new rim. They were very courteous, friendly and quick at changing the tire on a new rim. Highly recommend this particular Mr Tire shop. read more

If you don't accept appointments 45 minutes prior to closing then take it off your website. Then he proceeded to ask me for my tire size and then tried to up charge me by $120. My final price on the email was way less. Then he told me "we're not seeing you today find another shop". Very unprofessional and I do not recommend this shop. read more

I seldom leave bad reviews but ABSOLUTELY DO NOT get your car serviced here. Had I checked the recent reviews, I would have avoided this place. I needed a flat tire replaced, and after waiting about 4 hours for them to get the "right size" tire, they ended up installing the wrong size. I only discovered this mistake after a 10-hour drive back home to Illinois. When I called the manager, he was extremely unhelpful and refused to issue a refund since I couldn't return the tire from out of state. Attempts to contact Monro (Mr. Tire's parent company) customer service were futile. This has been the worst auto repair and customer service experience I've ever had. I had my tires switched out with new ones a few months ago. They charged my EXTRA for services I never received. They performed services that the other Mr. tires down the road said they were never supposed to do. The manager here told me I would receive a refund but have never seen. Made an appointment 3 days ahead of time online where I was able to select the 4 new tires I wanted. Appointment was confirmed via email and text. Showed up for my appointment and I was told they don't have the tires I chose in stock. I asked why, since I made the appointment ahead of time. They said, well....... the reservation system isn't connected to the location inventory. Wow. Ok, that's stupid. But also, don't you check your appointments the day prior to see what's coming up and plan? Maybe could've called me to discuss. Nope. Cool. Ok, well, he tries to direct me to some other similar tires (more $$). I just happened to see an obscured buy 3 get 1 free flyer on the counter, so I asked. Oh, sure, ok, they can do that. Since I asked. Awesome experience so far. After being there for 1 hour 45 min, with no other cars being worked on, and only getting 4 new tires, they tell my daughter and me that the tire machine is broken and they can't finish the car. At 6:45pm. How did it take 1 hr 45 min to figure that you couldn't get the last 2 tires done?? Awesome. They didn't offer to get us a ride or anything - we walked home. Oh, but don't worry, he said he'd give us a discount. Today, go to pick up the car. No discount. So I recount the whole story to the new guy, he calls somebody, and he gives us 10% off. That's the value of our inconvenience and their ineptitude. Cool. I ask for the results of the courtesy 36 point inspection (I already know there will be findings becuase I know what needs addressed, I just wanted to know how urgent it would be). There are none. A 2007 Saturn Ion has 36 green/perfect scores on the inspection; not a single yellow or red. After the new tires, the steering is loose, the brakes are soft, and somehow they messed up a windshield wiper. Geez. Staff was always hanging out in the bays, even desk staff. Even when they could see me waiting at the front desk after entering the building. NEVER NEVER NEVER go here. EVER. read more

My wife called me about a nail in her tire. She called this place to get her tire repaired and the employee told her we could bring the car. When I arrived at the facility, the employees were on their phones and unresponsive to customers. After I approached and interrupted the employees from using their phones, telling them that my tire had a nail in it, the employee informed me that it would cost $60 and take two hours to fix. I was like OK, I have no choice. After waiting for an hour, I requested an update, and the employee informed me that it would take two hours, which shocked me since I had already been waiting for an hour. I am not sure how busy they were but there were no customer service skills among the employees, and the employees were unmotivated to work. Additionally, I watched several videos on YouTube on how to fix a nail in a tire while I was waiting for my tire repair. After watching several videos, I purchased a tire repair kit at the Autozone across the street and repaired my tire at home. Ultimately, I wasted my time and received poor customer service, and I will not return here and I recommend to future customers to find a different tire shop. read more

Tire rotation. I had a 10am appointment today (March 28/2024). I was standing at the front reception desk exactly 10am. I waited for 33 minutes for service, and four times i asked for attention and tried to inform the man at reception desk to register my name, and each time, I was told "he is busy and to give him more time". Finally, i told him that "I have an appointment and I need attention and service ". In response, he said - "they are busy, and have a nice day"... I wasted almost an hour time between driving there and waiting for 30 minutes. This establishment does not believe in customer service - they don't care! . IT WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF PRECIOUS TIME. I feel less than happy for customers who end up at this establishment ....SAD!! read more

NEVER, NEVER here again! They gave me an appointment for 10:00 am to have 4 new tires installed. At 11:00 am they told me that they were short staffed and would not be able to get to my car until 12:00N. At 12:00 they took my car into the garage, took 3 tires off, and then did NOTHING for the next hour! At 1:15 they removed the fourth tire and started some work. At 2:00 pm they finished and pulled the car out. FOUR HOURS to do the job, and I'm not sure they got the balancing right! During that time I heard them try to up-sell every customer that came in on something. If I have to return to Mr. Tire, it will not be at this location! read more

I believe that this Mr Tire over torques lug nuts by using an impact wrench. Almost every time they remove my wheels for rotation, tire repair, replacement, etc. they also "have" to break off the lug nuts and replace the wheel studs. They are the only people who are touching these wheels. And over torquing is the only reason why wheel studs would have to be replaced so often. Also on my last visit, they found their prior patch was leaking and they couldn't find a nail in another tire that I located and saw with my own eyes. At least they said they would not charge for a replacement stud and nut this time. I now going to call corporate to ask them to open an investigation into possible improper practices and billing. read more

Day 1: Asked them to do brakes and tires, and call when they look at brakes. They said it would be done in a couple hours. They never called and only did tires. Said they'd hold onto vehicle til tomorrow so they can test drive it and then call about brakes. I wanted them to install performance pads, rotors, and calipers. Day 2: Shocker, they never call. When I call, they say it's ready. I show up and they put on new tires, but one of the old tires has a nail in and they didn't even touch the brakes. Waiting on refund and nail repair. I took my car on April 11, 2024 for a 11am appointment for diagnostics. I told them I already diagnosed and it was a purge pump but wanted them to confirm and fix if necessary. They told me to leave the car and they'd call me. By 4pm after hearing nothing I called and they said they still hadn't even checked the car because "other cars before me had so many issues" Mind you: diagnostic only...Which takes 5 minutes tops (based on my experience later on at Cadillac) What's the point of an appointment then!? So they said they wanted to keep overnight and would have someone check first thing Friday morning at 9am. After hearing nothing by noon I called again. They said they checked and told me what the problem was, called my car's warranty provider and ordered a part that wouldn't be there until Monday and said bring it back then. So I picked the car up Friday afternoon. Monday morning (April 15, 2024) I went back to Mr. tire to see if they had they part and could replace it. They had no idea and said it should be under manufacture warranty. Mind you...I don't know anything about cars but they could have told me that Thursday or Friday. So I left...made an appointment with the Cadillac dealer for same day....and went to a Cadillac dealer. I got to the Cadillac dealer at 11:45am and had my car diagnosed within one hour...and had the part replaced by 2:15pm. I know the dealer can be a headache but they did all of this in 2.5 hours where Mr. Tire took 3 business days. I will NEVER go back to the Gaithersburg Mr. Tire. They are totally clueless. I hate dealer wait times sometimes but at least you get competent mechanics and staff. And I ended up paying nothing. This isn't all on Mr Tire though as my car warranty service could have said from the beginning if it was manufactured warranty or not but even still...to wait 3 days for nothing from Mr Tire was ridiculous read more

I purchased a set of tires from Tirerack.com and Mr. Tire was on their list of installers. The tires were shipped there no problem and I was able to make an appointment for the following week no problem. Thing is my appointment was for 10am and I didn't leave until after 12pm. I could understand how long it took if I had just walked in with no appointment. But with an appointment it shouldn't take over two hours to balance and mount a set of tires. The work was done correctly but when I have the option I'll stick to my local non-chain shop that can balance and mount in about 40 minutes. read more

I've been in the vehicle sales and service sector for 13 years. I have been using Mr. Tire for tire needs since 2008, at multiple locations. The staff was very polite and helped arrange for a tire install in less than 24 hours notice. The tires I preferred had to be brought in. I just had four new Michelin Defender tires installed. All around the best price once you realize what is included. Everything their technician discovered I was already aware of. They even showed me one additional issue, fluid leaking from one strut, that a local dealer (whom just repaired my control arm bushings) missed. I trust this company so much I recommend my children and family members use them. Of course being I am in the car business I rely on my company for the majority of my regular service needs. My car had a shaking problem and needed a dire oil change. I go to school in New Jersey and told my dad about my problem and without a second thought he advised me to go to this specific Mr. Tire. They've been so helpful and accommodating to him and with the best prices we've seen!! This place is my go to. I got a flat in the middle of this winter storm. I spent 8 hours and had 2 tow trucks come before i finally got my car over there. Unfortunately it wasn't until after closing hours. The driver of the tow truck couldn't get the after hours drop box to open so he decided to throw my keys through the bay door. Luckily these guys found my keys in the morning and found my car. They not only amazed me with this, but when I called at 9:15am they had already changed my tire and had it ready to go!!! I chose to have my car delivered here for a reason and they made me once again know why this is my go to shop. Amazing service over the phone. Amazing above and beyond service in shop. Very LOUSY customer service. I walked in on a Tuesday night and the middle aged man with silver hair behind the counter seemed very upset and beside himself with angst. He reminded me of someone who's miserable with their job and life. He essentially told me he was too busy to get to my tire problem. I asked about getting a new tire I was quoted $100 more than their website. I was then told that it would take three days, it was a special order and that was that!
