They always have the best deals and warranties when it comes to tires. I've used them for the last 3 sets that I've needed. For me, they have always gone above and beyond. One of the locations forgot to put the mileage in so they didn't know how many had been put on my new tires -when i got a flat tire, they replaced it at no cost. Today, I came in with another flat (different car, no warranty) and they plugged it for free. I've yet to have a bad experience. After some bad experiences with my prior automotive service provider, I hunted down the mechanic from that establishment, who left, who for the short time he was there gave me exceptional service. That Mechanic, Mr Gage Rossano, offered a very high-level of service, and was honest in the way he dealt with customers. In stark contrast to other people at that former establishment. Turns out he is now the manager of the Mr Tire on Millersport and Sheridan in Amherst. I brought my vehicle in for an air conditioning repair and a service consult, and I am once again getting outstanding service. My prior company told me that I needed a new condenser to fix my air conditioning leak and they charged me for two evacuations and recharges, the second one was with dye, and estimated that I would need a $2600 repair. They also told me I needed new tires. Gage Rossano tested my system with dye and found the leak to be coming from the connector and not from the condenser itself and the cost is a mere fraction of what the last place told me it would be. Mr. Rossano also showed me that two of my tires were not even close to needing to be replaced and my two front tires showed wear from under inflation, and that by properly filling up my tires, I should be fine for at least another six months. I almost forgot what it was like to deal with honest auto repair company. This is the place to go. read more

Unfortunately I will add to the poor reviews here. I went here today with my 2015 Lincoln MKC for an oil change and my inspection being due. I have been driving my summer car so this car had been sitting for about 3-4 weeks outside. It's been quite rainy so there was some rust on the rotors just from not being driven. They refused to pass it. I specifically asked if I drive it around a little and the rust is gone will it pass the guys says yes but neglects to tell me I can not drive it around because he took my sticker off and there is temp sticker. So I'm being strong armed into buy rotors I don't actually need?? This is a subjective test. These men could have easily said hey you have some rust I could have explained and taken my car for a drive around the block a few times then brought it back. I dropped my car this morning at 8:30 am to check on 1 tire for air leak, they told it'll be ready in within 1 hour...2.5 hrs later didn't get a phone call if any kind, I stop by again to check on it and the car was still where I parked it, go in to ask and was told they haven't had a chance yet, reminded him that he told me that it would've been 1 hour...his answer was "sorry man I have other appointments" , I asked how much longer and was told maybe another hour! I just took my car, poor customer...service no communication with there customers. Don't waist your time to bring you cars there they suck!!! read more

INCOMPETENT ! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE !! Started going to Mr.Tire when Alex was the manager and everything was fine. Went to have my injector pump replaced last year and because of the poor job that was done it caused damage to my radiator fan. When I confronted them they said they didn't replace my pump last year. When I asked for a statement of the work I've done at the shop they said they don't keep any record of it ( scam ). They didn't want to take accountability for what they did and when I went back to another shop with another mechanic they said they were not responsible for it even after I managed to get them to finally print the statement that they did replace my air injector pump. The guys are friendly and customer service is fine but it's all to cover up the bullshxt that they do in that shop. Go to any other Mr.Tire if you like the company just don't go here. read more

I suppose it's a great place to get your tires installed if you enjoy being ripped off. They were kind enough to charge $165 for an alignment I didn't want or consent to. Oh, they also threw in 4 brand new tpms sensors for $65 (again kind enough to make it a surprise i found on the receipt). Pretty sure my car being less than a year old came with tpms and doesn't require an alignment without any suspension work, but alas I am clueless..... thankfully these guys are here to charge you for everything you never needed! read more

The other day, my wife got a flat tire on the way to work. We knew we needed new tires and the inspection sticker on her car was overdue. She pulled in to this location and they pushed her to replace all 4 tires, replace all 4 rotors and the pads, replace the license plate bulbs and change her oil. Oil??? Thing is, we just had the oil and lube done at the Toyota dealer last month. No oil indicator was present. She ended up leaving with a new oil change and a bill for new license plate lights and for an inspection. They scraped off the inspection sticker. Naturally without new tires it failed the inspection but she was still charged nonetheless. She didn't ask for an inspection. She went Northtown Toyota the next day. This is where we bought the car. They got her better tires for less. AND there's nothing at all wrong with any of the brakes?! Passed inspection after the tires. So why did Mr Tire tell my wife that all 4 brakes were shot on a low mileage hybrid Camry??? read more

I want to give it one and a quarter stars but there is no option for that. I took a vehicle here needing exhaust work as the repair shop that normally handles this work for me does not do exhaust systems. I visited here because my brother-in-law had a good experience here (or so he thought at the time.) This is a place where the phrase "Don't piss on my leg and tell me its raining" can come in quite useful. The service manager promises the sun and moon, but in reality, its mediocre at best. The exhaust work was done and I paid and began driving home. If I was blind, I would swear that my car had been mixed up with a '69 GTO with glass packs. I can't imagine that this car would meet noise ordinances, and I don't want to draw attention to myself, especially at stoplights where a noise like that is going to suggest a challenge to drag race. I returned for their opinion, and the service manager said that either the system was defective and it could be returned for another, or I could opt for a more expensive system. After some more thought and looking the car over on the lift, he said it was probably that the system was not clearing the bumper and I was getting a reverberation back there. The previous system had chromed exhaust tips that cleared the bumper and obviously quieted the system. Of course by the time they said this was the issue, the old system had been carted off by scrappers, and the chrome tips which may or may not have fit the new system were long gone. The service manager said he could order the parts for the next day, and gave me the bill for the wholesale price of the tips. A better service center would have offered complementary tips because they should have realized how loud the car was after the completion of work instead of sending me home, and then requiring me to come back for fine tuning. It's not like a custom suit being made where there are multiple fittings to get it correct. You order the part for this vehicle, test it, and if it is obviously not working as designed, you do not send the customer home. Now my car sounds a bit more tame, perhaps a Camaro Berlinetta exhaust note. That is still too loud for this car, but at least I am no longer being goaded into James Dean / "Rebel Without a Cause" race challenges by every insecure motorist desiring 0-60 superiority in a boring generic gray, tan, or black sedan as I wait at a red light. read more

I made an appointment over a week in advance. When I brought my car in that morning I was told it would be ready by 3 o'clock at the latest. I went at 3:30 to pick up my car and I had not even been looked at yet. When I asked what the problem was they had said that the manager, Jason, always overbooks. The cashier was equally as frustrated as I was because he said it happens every single day. I don't know what the point of me making an appointment was because it was not honored. This is not the first time I've had issues. Whenever I sit and wait for an oriole change or a tire rotation, it takes a very long time and I have to sit in the very small waiting room. I use this store as I used to live near by and had generally ok experiences until the recent 2-3 visits when this Jason became manager (in the past they had Alex). I had oil change on my 2015 Subaru Outback today on 1/16/2021. Jason is the person handling it. He called me saying my air filters need to be replaced and they will only charge me the cost not labor. I asked how much and he said $25 each and it is the same price from the major Auto Zone type stores. I thought it is too expensive and refused. At check out, I found the oil change price went up to $14 per qt from $6 per Qt from last time I had oil changed there back on 4/1/2019 (Alex smith was store manager back then). When I said it is very high, Jason said yes it is pandemic price. I ended up paying over 70 for the full synthetic oil change instead of the 44 or so I normally paid there before. I had both invoices saved. I also found the Jason entered my name and email incorrectly although I made my booking online a few days back. He could just produce the invoice from the booking. I suspect he just typed the invoice up. I am not sure Mr. Tire has officially increase the oil change during the pandemic. I will find it out. There was one time well before the pandemic when I had a flat tire on my Highlander. It was Jason too. Instead of fixing the flat. He insisted on having a new tire costing over 200 saying the punch is too near the side. I had flat in similar spot later on and other business fixed the flat free of charge for me. These were bad experiences I had all recently. How can I be confident going back to this Mr. Tire store again? read more

Mr. Tire is a rip off. They have no regarding up front pricing. The thin skinned, overly sensitive manager refused to even look at my vehicle after I mentioned that it would have been nice to mention the $15 fee just to look at my truck. Considering that I would have been willing to spend up to $1000 to have my exhaust fixed. Looks like Mr. Tire is more interested in milking it's customers for every penny they can get. Also when I spoke with customer service they were not aware of the $15 fee. I would not recommend Mr Tire I think something shady is going on read more

Walked in had to get my tire plugged, staff was very friendly I was in and out very quick!

I needed help changing the bulb in my tale light on my PT Cruiser, and I couldn't get the screw out. Since I live within walking distance to this shop, I called and asked if they'd be able to help me take off the light and switch the bulb out, to which they said they wouldn't mind doing at all. So I showed up a few minutes later, light bulbs and flower-y personal tool box in tow, and a very friendly mechanic came right out front and helped me unscrew the light and replace the bulb. The only reason I'm giving four stars is because the guy at the front desk wasn't the friendliest, but he wasn't rude, and charged me $25.00 for just unscrewing the tale light and switching out a bulb I supplied myself (this entire process took less than 10 minutes). Other than that the mechanic was awesome and it was super nice of them to help out a college student in a pinch! read more

The guy at the front desk was pleasant. He was a bit overwhelmed with the constant ringing of the phone, but was a nice guy. Allowed me to use my coupon with no problem. I was satisfied and comfortable. Rating so low, only for the inconvenience. I stopped in to have my tire pressure monitor replaced. I planned on leaving the car, so I obviously didn't mind waiting. I leave my car, and about two hours later I get a call from the gentleman at the front desk informing me that they can install the new sensor, but their machine to reprogram the sensors does not work. I ended up not getting the replacement, but how did they not know that the machine was broken? I mean, he did say that a new one was on the way, so someone was aware. I'm not putting blame on any one person, but it was a bit annoying. I could have taken my two hour wait some where else. It would just have been nice to know a bit sooner. I've been going here ever since I've had my license and now that I've learned how much they've ripped me off all of these years I regret it sincerely. I brought my car in a few months ago and they told me that it needed almost a grand worth of work done to it (I paid $900 for the car itself). Took it to Gary's Service in Tonawanda and he told me all it needed were new front brakes and back tires. At Mr Tire they were going to charge me $400 for brakes ALONE. I brought my car here for an inspection on a whim after I took it around the corner to Valvoline. After having my car 5 minutes, Valvoline got my e-brake stuck and couldn't do my inspection. Kyle was awesome and got me right in, one mechanic fixed the e-brake and did my inspection. I wish I brought my car here first. Update: So today started off with a little good, a little bad then a whole lot better. I spoke with the manager first thing this morning - he apologized for the yahoo the day before and told me he would get right on fixing the situation and that it would not impact the price previously discussed. I got two calls from their corporate office and another two from their regional manager - both apologizing and eager to listen not makes excuses. I went to pick up the cars and they had thrown in a big discount to boot. Although unfortunate I had to complain so loudly to get my point across, it was received and reacted to well. Original: I have never felt inclined to write a review on Yelp until this afternoon. Friday I called and asked if they would be to inspect two cars the following day. Sure - no problem they say... So Saturday. I dropped off two vehicles for inspection at 8am. First, the gentleman at the desk tells me that they might not be able to get to the 2nd car because there were already 6 cars ahead. In retrospect, this should have been a sign of things to come. I mention that this was different from what had been mentioned the previous day but no reassurances could be made. They said they would call about my car in the afternoon. At 2:30 they call and explain the ebrake is shot - not a surprise. They outline the fix and said it would be no problem to get it done this afternoon. I say go ahead - and how's my other car? They said they would be to inspect that afternoon and get back to me. They call back and explain the other car needed an engine belt and a rear sway bar - old car not a surprise and I can pick them both up today.. Today I called and heard the following: first car they took apart, realized they needed a seal and bearing to do the job, can't find the part, didn't have it in my quote and can't do anything about it until tomorrow when the other guy comes in who was working yesterday; second car also needs either a new fuel line or gas tank and they won't know wither until tomorrow - plus their inspection machine is down so they can't get anything done anyway. Obviously there is not much I can do right now - other than hope I am getting something close to the whole story and write this review. Brought in my SUV to get the rear tire plugged and the windshield washer fixed. Was quoted $25.99 and $229.00 respectively. Waited all day for them to call and tell me it's ready. No call. Finally, I called them 10 minutes before they closed. "Oh yeah, it's ready. It's sitting here." Went to pick it up and they said they ran into some difficulties. No phone call. No "hey, what do you want us to do about this?" They went ahead with the repairs and handed me a bill for $367.21. Doesn't that seem like an awful lot for those repairs? It's more than $100.00 over what they quoted me. I should have gotten the quotes in writing. My bad. I won't be going back to those crooks ever again. read more

Cannot say enough nice things about the level of professionalism, attention, and speed that I received today from the personnel at Mr. Tire on Millersport Hwy. My wife had a slow leak which required either a patch or replace. Its Memorial Day and we are trying to travel with the kids so we needed to get it figured out fast. We called four other companies before Mr. Tire, all of them were either not open or booked and none of them would even entertain the idea of working us in if we dropped it off. Kyle at Mr. Tire said no problem (despite being completely booked) they would be glad to work us in-between appts. (They were still working a 12-hour shift on a national holiday!). Brought the car in at 7am...got a call to come pick it back up in ~1hour. (Also upon my request they provided me a quote for four new tires which my wife car is long over due for, which resulted in a price literally half that of previous quotes I got. Just went there today for the first time. Had never heard of them but Valvoline recommended them for putting on the tire as they didn't have the equipment for it. I asked for prices for a rim, tire, oil change & NY state inspection... and the guy answering the phone didn't seem to know prices... but when I told him I was looking for quotes so I could go with the best deal, he found out for me. I called in same day and although they're not "allowed" to do same day appointments, they still jotted me down for an hour later. I just went in for the rim/tire change, but he didn't know it at the time I ended the call. I had both "new" rim and "new" tire already in my trunk and they still did it for me. :) I waited a little longer from what they said (they said about 30-40 mins, but was there for 1 hr), but for being spur of the moment and the price... It was a good deal. :) I decided to go elsewhere for my oil & state inspection as that wasn't as cheap there, and being currently unemployed... I'm pinching every penny I can. :) Still, I'd look them up if I needed something again. :) read more

In September, 2016 I brought my Kia Soul in for some brake work. I had them do the brakes and the emergency brakes. Having paid for the work accomplished, I began to leave the shop. As I drove away, there was a terrible squeaking noise coming from the rear of the car. It was obvious to me that the noise was coming from the left rear of the car. The Manager told me it was simply the dirt deflector rubbing on the rotor. "With these winters, it's hard to keep them in shape" he said. He looked at it and suggested that I bring the car back in and wait a couple hours until they could get a look at it. A COUPLE OF HOURS! I THINK NOT! I'd already been there for 3 hours! Couldn't they finish the job before sending me on my way?! I drove off thinking how shabby the job was done, but at least the brake job was done.... Wrong! The emergency brakes did not safely hold the vehicle on an incline, and I had to put the car in gear (standard transmission) to secure it. I brought the car back to the shop and had them adjust the emergency brake, for which they were happy to charge me $69. Once again, I drove off, happy to have the brakes finally adjusted... WRONG AGAIN! I could not get the brakes to hold the car still, though I yanked as hard as I could on the brake handle. Fed up with this kind of work, I relented and took the car to the KIA dealer. The service manager showed me that the hardware was ruined and that the e-brake shoes had to be replaced. Of Course, I had to pay them for the repair that Mr. Tire should have completed properly, since they charged me an amount that would be reasonable if a professional mechanic had done the job. Totally dissatisfied with the service I received at the Millersport Hwy store. I will not be returning, and will be advising my friends, neighbors, associates and family to beware of this service center. read more

Took my car in for tire check and electrical check-up. Instead of selling me tires (which I indicated I expected to do), Jason told me that my alternator belt was cracked and needed replacement. He fit me into their schedule the next day, and even held the belt for me so I could see the condition. Altho parts price was a bit high, I was generally very satisfied. Jason also gave me some tire recommendations to explore for the day when I need them. UPDATE: Three days after the alternator belt replacement, I needed a new battery (during a severe winter storm). Paid $175 for battery and install. After spending approx. $500 with this location in the last week, I needed to call for yet another problem which was a non-functioning wiper arm (during another bad storm). I was told I didn't need an appt - just come in right after work and they'd look at it no charge. When I arrived I was told I didn't have an appt, and couldn't be seen until the next day. I was told, "You'll just have to leave it". "I'm not going to look at it without charging you $40 to dis-assemble it first", "Jason shouldn't have told you that". "What do you expect me to do?". WHAT??!? With no wipers, I was in a bad and dangerous situation. I feel strongly that they could have at least LOOKED at the car since I was willing to wait. The desk clerk was rude and dismissive. No more Mr. Nice guy, apparently. I'm done with this business. Not trustworthy. read more

Their new tires are competitively priced, and their free flat tire patching coupon is handy. I've been going there for years, but the recent string of incidents have made me conclude that their technicians are often in a rush and absent minded. The first incident was about two years ago, when I requested an oil change and winter tire balance and swap. The technician forgot about the oil change, called it a day, and I still got charged for the oil change. Shortly after the first incident, they blocked the see-through window from the waiting area to the work bays. The second incident was a recent tire patch and brake adjustment. They charged me for a patch that didn't actually happen (since the foreign object didn't really punctuate the tire), and they magically did the brake lubrication and adjustment without even taking off the tires and just squeezed some lubricants through the seems. I could tell that the wheels were never taken off, since the lug nuts needed a special key and they never asked for it, and there were no traces of "hand prints" on my dirty alloy wheel. All in all, I'd go there to get new tires and patch my tires, but would keep an eye on their occasionally shortcut-taking technicians and avoid doing anything too complicated with them. read more

Customers beware...When in to have my tires rotated and alignment checked. It was reasonable that the alignment needed to be performed. When I checked out they also charged me for balancing and then when I said my coupon for 20% off was not applied the price of the alignment the invoice was wrong and the alignment went up in price from 79.99 to 94.99. Just 4 months prior they had balanced my tires for 12.99 but now it was 39.99 but a $20 discount was given. Then the manager told me the price of services there change all the time so even when they quote you over the phone the price might change before you have the service performed. I will not go here again. I felt like I was being taken the first time I went in there to have a flat fixed but now I know that they are dishonest. read more

Terrible service! I made an appointment for an oil change and when I arrived, the manager told me that he wouldn't get to the vehicle. Told me to leave the keys and he would call me at 730 to let me know if they would get to do the oil change. Gave the manager the keys, he walked away probably thinking I wasn't still there and he announced to his employees that he wished these fucking asshole customers would get real jobs so that we wouldn't expect his employees to work past their closing hours. I asked for the keys back and contacted their customer service to make a complaint. I was then called by their district manager and was told he would contact the manager and find out why he acted that way. He also told me that he would call me the next day to set up an oil change at another location. Never received the call from him. In my opinion, piss poor customer service all around. Anonymous, Went here last year (approx May ' 15) ,service was good and service manager was honest.Had visited Delaware Ave store in Kenmore and was quoted same service $ 150 .00 more than Milllersport store. Came here today for inspection and told I had a major manifold oil leak.I had added 1 qt.of oil to car after 4000 miles since last oil change at other more reliable/honest oil change store.I told them of only using 1 qt usage after previous oil change and no oil leaks on pavement . Finally,told me I would need PCV valve ,along.with manifold gasket ,this would cost 302.40 for the PCV valve repair only, as it was located in a difficult area.Also,wouldn't you look at the quality of the manifold gasket before implying it needs a PCV valve ,as no check engine light was ever on due to poor emmissions?. I checked my manifold later, a tiny bit of oil on side of manifold,no major leakage, it did not go further down the engine . Totally untrustworthy ,scam place .What happened to the nice,honest ,service manager at same location last year?Probably couldn't handle corrupt,dishonest,commission grabbing shysters he had to work with. Have every intention of contacting District Manager,and taking my car to dealer to confirm my suspicions.Reminds me of original Delaware Ave visit last year where I would have got scammed. I remember long lines of cars out in the streets at the old Valvevoline Oil Stations.They got a bad reputation from customers, as they were scamming customers on meeting quotas.A friend of mine worked at one and was advised by management to meet the quota..On a slow day,last customers got scammed to meet quota.Finally,word got out and the techs were wearing sandwich board signs on the streets, soliciting customers ,to no avail.Finally,most, if not all, Valveoline shops closed due to no business. Please use caution and bring someone with mechanical knowledge ,if repair is needed, otherwise stay away!! Had my windshield wiper motor replaced. They left the nut holding down the passenger side windshield wiper too loose and it came undone the second time I used it during a storm. The nut holding down the passenger side windshield wiper was the wrong size and stripped the bolt so bad that I had to cut the nut off. In addition to doing a horrible job, the price was fairly high. I will not come back here again and suggest everyone to do the same. read more
