Over all good food with a great price. Normally get the general tso chicken at these type of Asian Resturaunts (Quick to-go type spot) but after a road trip we picked up Chicken Lo Mein and Kung Pao Chicken. Went home started chowing down and realized that this is not Kung Pao Chicken. No peanuts. Looks more like spicy chicken stir fry. Called up, place on hold, too lazy to wait. Looks like I'm eating spicy chicken stir fry. read more

Mr Teriyaki - This ain't Kung Pao Chicken!!! - Asian Fusion Near Me - Sumter, South Carolina

My experience past few months was not good. Who ever the cook is the food not fresh like, taste funny, BBQ sauce don't taste like BBQ, or honey mustard sauce, noodles wasn't right and I turn it in and lady gotten upset about it, instead of listening. I would never go back again. The food is not the same at all. The same and onions are chop very tiny and rice taste like it be sitting for a while. My stomach hurts and I throw up. This is restaurant on 441. read more

I was traveling to Charlotte from Tampa last Friday. My husband and I had been craving Mr Teriyaki. It was an old favorite when we lived in Columbia. We should've kept going. This was the worst meal I have ever tasted. The chicken tasted old, the rice was dry, no teriyaki sauce! I went out of my way to get delicious food. I was wondering why the place was empty! Now I know. I will never pateonize this place again. What a waste of money and time!!! read more

Nice portion size for the price. The food is hot and tasty! I had the hot wing basket with the standard ham fried rice.

Very disappointing since new ownership took over. The quality of the food has gone down considerably the last several times we've ordered.

Cause there two girls in that place. I ordered hot wings they fix me teriyaki then wouldn't fix it cause all I eat there is the hot wing basket. Then ask when I was leaving if I want duck and soy I said yes and they still didn't put any in my bag like this place so far down hill not funny I used eat here 2 a week now if I fill like it 1 a month. Food very good house lo mein and house fry rice and wing basket and they have a very good price

I live by Yelp reviews and even though this had 3 stars, I should of kept driving. This place is beyond gross. We got 3 different food items (beef/broccoli, sesame & sweet/sour) and all 3 were gross. Then I found a long black hair in my food which made it even worse to eat so I stopped. What you see in the picture is how much I left in my plate and threw away. My daughter and husband who will eat just about anything even didn't eat their food. I would not recommend this place to anyone with taste buds and it's amazing that there were customers in there ordering. This was my first and last time eating at this place. The people who enjoy this place clearly lack taste buds and probably think mayonnaise is too spicy. Save your money and gag reflex for wating somewhere else... you've been warned. Yuck! read more

We came here to order takeout for lunch recently upon the recommendation of a coworker. It's not the typical Asian food I'm used to but I liked the portion sizes and the price. Half the takeout box was already enough to fill me up for lunch so I saved the other half for dinner. read more

I didn't even want to give this shit hole one star but it would not let me post. Great food for an inexpensive price. A simple pick for when you can't decide what to get with a lot of variety for dishes and heartily sized portions for a great dinner or midnight snack. read more

Beef teriyaki very very good. I found the sesame chicken just a little too sweet for me. Portion made three meals.

This food is so bland. This is not Chinese!!! We got the pepper steak, chicken lo mein, and sesame chicken. The egg rolls were the only appetizing thing. The pepper steak was so bad I had to season it myself, literally. Just don't do it. read more

We order here regularly and have never been disappointed with their food. The portions are good and have quick service.

Best chicken place in sumter. Fried rice better than all the Chinese place around here. I love their hot teriyaki wings

So we order 30 dollars worth of take out and was told I could not have an extra styrofoam take out container. Unbelievable

Inexpensive with large portions and take-out served hot. They put lots of veggies in the lo mein, which we really like. I have a vegan diner and the veggie fried rice and veggie moo goo gai Pan was perfect. Kung poa shrimp could use a little more flavor but had plenty of shrimp and veggies. Very convenient to Shaw. read more

We like the vegetable fried rice a lot. Get it with your he wings for a very good meal. Large portions and reasonable prices. A once a month place for sure read more

We called in our order at 6:50pm and was told it would be 35 minutes which was fine. Got there in 30 minutes and she couldn't find the order in the back..still not ready. I saw the order on the counter that was never put in the back. She was so rude. No wonder they keep wanting to hire new people. She took it to the back and we waited another 25 minutes to get the food that was cold. got home and found plastic wrap in the rice. Don't waste your money here. read more

I just love this place. It literally never lets me down. Their wings, the fried rice. Everything I got from this place was great

I ordered the shrimp teriyaki lo mein in HT(Hot Teriyaki - Which is not spicy; I guess it's just pepper-y?). You're given a generous portion of noodles and shrimp, though very little vegetables. My order had a decent amount of broccoli and a small amount of thin-sliced carrots. The bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, extra carrots and chili pepper I added made the food even better, but the food IS still good on it's own - I just like my vegetables. Also the price is decent. Since my last review of this business I have ate there at least two more times. They have really improved. The fried rice dishes and the wings have been extremely good. Very nice friendly service also. read more

I mean you can't beat this place for the price. I decided to try the Kung Pow chicken, crab angels and honey mustard wings. All was under $15.00. My favorite were the wings. The staff was extremely nice. This place is not fancy. If your looking for decent Asian food, this place is better than the other local places around. read more

This is overall a great place. It won't be the best you've ever had, BUT you cannot beat the price and the portions are huge. I was highly impressed with the quantity of food received in our pick up order. It easily made a big dinner and lunch the next day too. read more

This was one of the WORST, most disgusting meals I have ever had. I ordered the crab Angels (crab Rangoon in most parts of normal society) and they tasted like soggy raw onions. Dipped them in the sweet n sour sauce but it was as thick as jello... No exaggeration! Chunky, slimy thick jello! Asked for sweet n sour pork... They don't have it. I went with the sweet n sour chicken, also soggy but the chicken itself tasted okay. I had asked for pork fried rice with it... The lady said we have ham fried rice... Ewwww what?? No pork fried rice? She said they have it but it's $2 more. (Looking at the menu I see ham fried rice and pork fried rice cost the same so why the extra charge in a combo plate?). Anyway I said I'll try ham fried rice. ... Ok ewwwww should have just skipped dinner here altogether. So for $14 all I got is a stomach ache and two styrofoam containers of food to feed to the trash can! read more

My husband and I loooove this place. This our to go to place for something fast and filling. He always orders the Hot Teriyaki Wing Basket and I go back and forth with the Teriyaki Chicken or Beef. The cashier and customer service rep are always so pleasant and in a cheerful mood. Your order comes out hot and fast. There is limited seating inside the restaurant but we definitely recommend this place. The prices are unbelievable as well. read more

Mr Teriyaki - Hot Teriyaki Beef. My favorite!!! - Asian Fusion Near Me - Sumter, South Carolina

Disclaimer: this bad review is solely based on one order, shrimp with broccoli. I am not one who likes to eat out since I love to cook, however, my kids wanted to try this place. Sadly, sumter doesn't have much choice when it comes to good restaurant to choose from. I went after 3:00 pm and ordered the food; I had to wait about 20 mins for the order. My daughter order fried rice with chicken wings and I order shrimp with broccoli. I can only speak for my order when I say how horrible it was. The broccoli was soggy, over cook and drenched with a awful taste of teriyaki sauce ? The 5 shrimp were tasteless and over cook. As far as my daughter's order, she liked it but she told me that she had better, blah. So you have been chop!! read more

Hot teriyaki beef lo mein is the best!! Always a go to spot, especially for their honey mustard wings!!!

For a quick, inexpensive lunch meal, this is the place to go. I generally order the Spicy Beef Teriyaki, which only costs approx. $6. For that money, though, you will get enough food for two meals. They definitely don't scrimp on the portion. Call ahead for your order. It will be ready in 15 minutes, generally. Expect a quick turnaround when you pick up your food. Overall, a good place to eat when craving teriyaki and when in a hurry. read more

Gross. I had teriyaki chicken and it tasted like rubber with sauce on it and it was too hot it burnt my mouth. Won't go again.

The food here is HOT and delicious! A constant go to when I want something filling, cost effective and FAST.

It's a hit or miss whenever I go. For some reason no matter how simple my order is, they always seem to mess it up. But I don't mind it because the food is always so delicious and the prices are just right. read more

First off I must say that Mr teriyaki has some of the best wings in the city but the customer service is pure one star they act like you owe them something when you come in there when you call they sound like they don't want to talk to you now I may be sounding picky but if you look in the dictionary for customer service you're supposed to serve the customer and if that's a job you get paid to do that job so if you don't want to do that job the person that runs the store is either accountable for that or else people need to stop coming I'm not even living in something anymore when I come home my mother loves this food I love it but I refuse to eat it because of the customer service from the owner all the way down to the person that comes to take your food and give it to you and show it to you and throw it to you you know like you in a line at school or something but this will be my last time getting my mom food here cuz I'll just take her service down to China wing on mccrays Mill Road where they are very nice and courteous and don't treat me like that their wings are not as good as yours but that's what happens when you feel like you you can treat people any way you feel because you have a good product and since you're in a small town you can do that but I just know that I hate being disrespected and especially when it comes to my food and I just wish and pray that y'all can do something with your customer service your food is so good I can see it on the national scale but read more

The food was okay. I wouldn't come back based on that alone, but while waiting for my food in a pretty full dining room of people waiting for their food. A woman walked by me and called me a "Rambo lookin' cracker ass mother fucker." I was shocked and looked around to see off anyone else had heard what I thought I heard, and everyone else was sitting there shaking their heads and mumbling "Rambo" and "cracker". It was the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me. I won't hold the incredibly racist customers against the place but it does hold a very distinct memory of the place. read more

Well loved tiny place in a strip mall. Fried rice with egg and onion is spectacular, be sure to ask for spicy if you like it that way. The lunch crowd is relentless and you may wait a little bit. You can use credit cards but there is a $6 minimum. Phone orders are accepted. There are about five tables. Wings and rice are an option, as well as chow mein. read more

After having a great deal of people recommend this place I decided to try it and was very disappointed. The Teriyaki sauce was unlike I have ever tasted and not in a good way. The noodles were alright but the sauce itself made the dish nearly inedible perhaps I got a bad batch but it was so incredibly bad that I have not and would not return. My wife had a similar experience so I am fairly certain it was not just me but the staff was friendly enough to earn it a star. read more

Here's the deal, I love the food. Crab angels are off the chain. Fried rice is delicious, and over all way better than chicken shack. However, apparently they are doing so well for them selves that they are closed on the biggest take out nights of the week. A restaurant Closed on a Saturday and Sunday??? Get real. read more
