My wife and I love Thai food, but unfortunately there aren't too many in our area. What we've learned is that you can't go wrong with some staples: Pad Kee Mao and any curry (we opted for Panang). Not dissimilar with other Thai places, Susu Siam gives you the option of protein & spice level for most dishes. We've been burned before with how spicy dishes come out, so we opted for medium spice for both. The Pad Kee Mao with beef came out delicious. Noodles weren't overcooked and stir-fried with just enough sauce to be absorbed without a pool of liquid. Alongside the spice, this dish carries a very faint sweetness to balance out the savoury. The beef was very tender, no complaints. The Panang Curry with chicken is incredibly creamy and rich. While I do think the curry:chicken ratio could be improved, there are no other complaints. The curry was characteristically sweet and fragrant which my wife and I love (latter probably because of the kaffir lime leaves). Long beans weren't overcooked, which meant there was still a nice crunch for some texture. You can't leave a Thai restaurant without some Mango Sticky Rice! Dish comes presented beautifully, though the coloured sticky rice don't really add any flavour (just food colouring). Mango was sweet, and the coconut milk was not overbearingly sweet.
