Completely rude. Went in to get my car inspected, and it failed, and the manager came out and swore accusations that I'd had it modified. Said he reset the computer, and got drive 100 miles and try again. Well that didn't do it. Today I Looked at more closely at the the report and the car has a recall: of course it failed, the car has a recall for a faulty computer: it stops recording emissions. I don't like the way I was treated so rudely and accusatory by staff, and they're completely incompetent to have overlooked the actual cause! read more

AVOID THESE GUYS AT ALL COST FOR A VEHICLE INSPECTION. These guys have to be among the most dishonest con artists around. If you go in for a vehicle inspection, they have a standard playbook they use to extort more money from you. They will go through the vehicle inspection and then insist that you HAVE to replace your windshield wipers (even though mine were just replaced). Don't believe me? This review is for August 2021. My mom's Toyota minivan needed an inspection so that she could renew her registration. The wavy hair gentleman didn't ask me to get out of the driver seat, didn't ask me to turn on the left/right lights, windshield wiper, put on the breaks or anything. He plugged in the computer and got an error and then failed me. He charged me $25+. He asked me when did I changed the battery? I told him 2 weeks ago after not driving for a year during pandemic. He told me to run on the freeway for 30 minutes so that the car can have memory of the car's functions which is needed to pass the test. Couldn't he have told me that before he failed me and charged me?? Not happy. read more

The technician with freckles tried to charge me $25 to spray a cleaner on my foggy headlights. I declined. He then said I needed new spark plugs and if I came in on a Sunday he would give me a deal. I was looking to get my inspection done and I had read that different shops were upping the cost. Because of this I pulled into this shop and asked for the cost, the older male who attended me then groaned and said, "ughhh why do you have to ask? It's $25 everywhere." My usual go to place was closed for some reason so I drove until I found a place that wasn't too crowded. A man came out and immediately took my keys. Another gentlemen met me inside and asked what services I needed. He then told me my Oil Change would be $60. My usual place only charges $30. I asked for my keys back, I can find another place. He then says it's $45 for regular oil. Did I ask for synthetic? No. He then says from behind his desk "remember Ladies, everything has gone up in price." I don't appreciate being upsold just because I'm a female. Ladies, I encourage you to go to Car Check on Clay Rd. They never try and push extra services on you plus they are speedy and efficient. Quick and painless. My car inspection was due. Been real busy and just needed to get this done. Dove into Mr. Sticker at 8:23 am before work. Reza (mechanic) signaled me into the garage. Stayed in my car during inspection. Car passed and driving off the lot to go onto work by 8:33 am. Reza was nice and didn't take anymore of my time then he had too. He knew I was in a rush. Be careful with this business. They conduct shady business and behavior for a car inspection. When you go in for a car inspection they don't want you getting out of your car for the following reasons. They will tell you have a break light or anything kind of light bulbs out just to charge you more money. When they do the gas cap inspection they do not tighten it all the way to immediately fail the gas cap and charge you for another cap. At this point was when I got extremely suspicious of them and they did not like the fact I got out of the car and started to question them. At one point whoever was working the computer started to yell at me because I questioned his work. If you start yelling it's a clear sign you're conducting shady business. So if you happen to go be extremely careful and question everything they want to up sale you. Needless to say I stopped the service got my money back and when to the Jiffy Lube a block down from them. Obviously my car passed inspection flawlessly. read more

Stopped here for an inspection yesterday waited outside while a freckled man reluctantly dragged himself away from his chair to ask what i needed. I told him just an inspection. He asked regular questions and then wandered off to talk to a buddy in the distance. Another older man came up and repeated the whole process again until the freckled man came back and then again repeated everything the older man just did. After all was done i was informed i needed an oil change, not asked if i needed one. These men never pulled my dipstick. I was told with an inspection id get 25 dollars off of the yet unknown oil change price so i agreed. Under his breath he mentioned 85 dollars. Surely he was not charging me 85 dollars for an oil change? Well 60 bucks whatever. He proceeded to find all kinds of "bad news" about my truck that i have already checked and tried to charge me for everything he could. I thought about waving my ASE certification in his face but instead just informed him that everything he was checking was just replaced and i know he is wrong. When i started throwing around words that made it apparent i knew my way around an engine he backed off but ended up still charging 115 for an oil change(no discount) and an inspection. I wish i would have just walked out. Too many of these unprofessionals out there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

The place and people are essential for a pleasant experience. The service I got here was phenomenal. Victor is extremely knowledgeable in cars and maintenance that goes behind it. He is honest, willing to answer and even show how to fix/repair whatever it is. For instance, he showed me how to replace windshield wipers and to check when I need to do an oil change. Victor simply made this small inspection service out of this world. I highly recommend this place for everything (oil changes, brake checks, inspection, and etc). Wish I could give this place 0 stars. My son went in for a car inspection which should have taken literally 10 minutes. Instead, the whole experience became a gigantic clusterf^&%$k. The guy took his key fob and told him he'd get to it next. Well, to make a long story short, when he went to start his inspection, he couldn't find the fob. So, couldn't start the car and obviously couldn't do the inspection. Three hours later, he finally called a locksmith. Not even an apology. If you value your time and your keys, I urge you not to patronize this place. On a side note, I went to the lube center next to Mr. Car Wash down the street the following week for my inspection. Spotless, air conditioned, no wait, free popcorn and - wait for it - took all of 10 minutes including payment. If you're going down Gessner looking to get your car inspected, keep going til you (almost) get to the freeway. You'll be glad you did. read more

This place is really quick and the man running it is VERY thorough and I mean thorough. He will find every little thing wrong with your car to pass inspection, which is a good thing.
