Fluffy bread and a pleasant crust, this pizza parlor introduced me to some of the better pizzas during my stay. I got the Meat Lovers and the Big Mack to try. The Meat Lovers is what you expect, just a good amount of meat to pair with the large amount of dough and cheese. It's a bit oily and heavy, so the Big Mack was actually my favorite due to the lighter nature and the accurate taste compraison to an actual Big Mac. Beer was also great. I've been getting into beer lately and wanted to try some Michigan-brewed beer and the options as well as the taste did not disappoint. Service was good. I let them know that I wasn't from Michigan and it was my first week there and they gave me a good run-down of the menu. Their recommendations were solid and they leave us unattended for too long. I wish there was a bit more table space at the communal tables, but there's only so much you can do with the size of the restaurant.

For a starter, the cashew Caesar salad ($8) was ordered. It came with mixed greens, house-made cashew Caesar dressing, fried shallots, and vegan parmesan. This was very tasty. It was unique with the fried shallot addition. The dressing was just enough. It all appeared very fresh and crisp. The cheese had somewhat of an odd texture, but not a big deal. For a meal, the lobster roll pizza ($45) was ordered. This was so unique that it had to be tried. It came with 6 oz. wild caught lobster, herb crème fraiche, celery and onion brunoise, Cape Cod chips, and chives with drawn butter and lemon. This was very rich, so the addition of the lemon juice and crunchy chips really helped offset that. It was also heavy due to the components incorporated. The lobster appeared fresh and there was plenty of it. The butter was not even needed, but solid for a slight dip. The crème fraiche was solid and different. The crust was crispy and great too. Will I go back? I would, yeah.

Some of the Romaine lettuce in both salads were brown. The croutons should have been separate, they were soggy after an hour or so. The base of the chafing dishes had quite a bit of water at the bottom and made the lettuce quite wilted quickly. Their house salad has green olives, red onion, carrot shredded, tomatoes and I only saw one pepperoncini. The bread sticks were chewy and good and tasted good with their house ranch sauce too. They have a big dining area and each person is able to set up their own tab to manage their food and drink purchases. When you arrive, you get a wristband. This allows you to scan into the wall taps and fill up how ever much or little you want. They had a great selection of brews and I was especially impressed by a few local beers that were absolutely delicious! The pizzas are huge, so my only regret is not ordering one to share with a friend. I was able to only finish about a quarter of the small before having to call it quits. Detroit pizza is thick, so come hungry. While the pizzas were a hit, I have to say, the fries were a treat! They were so great! All in all- an excellent spot centrally located in Detroit!

We were very happy with how quick the service was because even though we called ahead to ensure there was space for all of us, the bar was jammed prior to a hockey game but all the tamps were running and food was flying out of the kitchen! Yet another great Elephant & Co location. Whatever you all are discussing in the background on how to serve your customers, it's 100% working and I will always go out of my way to come into one of your locations.
