    A burnt pizza

I ordered mushrooms and olives via the DoorDash app and they delivered a burnt pizza with mushrooms and onions. $20 + tip

Sal's is truly love of my life; if only it didn't cost me an arm & a leg each time I wanted to indulge here. I love their classic turkey sub, their bread sticks, but best of all. Their TLT! It's a BLT (sub turkey for the bacon). It's phenomenal. Enjoy. P.s. I spared myself from watching that Sal's owner meme video

BBQ chicken pizza & Jalapeño pizza

The pizza was pretty good. It wasn't too special but just good. I really like that they open pretty late and their outdoor seating. The workers are prompt and owner is a hard worker at his pizza shop. I tried their BBQ chicken pizza & jalapeño pizza. I would order any veggie pizza again but BBQ chicken was way too much BBQ for my taste. The cost is above average but nothing where it feels like your being over charged. Overall, a solid 3, or 3.5. It's decent.

I was recently introduced to Sal's via Downey Brewing. The brewery hosted a St. Patty's day party and sobered us up (twice!) with Sal's pizza. They provided pepperoni and plain cheese. I smashed a couple of each variety and dug both of them. Before a trip to the Downey tap room, I called in an order for a large pepperoni that I'd pick up before swinging by the brewery. We drove into the residential neighborhood and spotted Sal's on the corner. Now, parking is kind of difficult unless there is a designated area I was unaware of. I parked in the back by the garage (this biz obviously used to be a house) and walked around to the entrance located off a gorgeous patio. There are a few tables inside but it's not a super-cozy space. They accept credit cards. Our large pizza was only $10. It came out of the oven just minutes after we arrived. They were nice enough to give us a couple plates and napkins, then off we went. When we got to the brewery, we opened the box and were treated with some of the best cheesy pizza we've managed to find. I really like their crust! It's a bit different than other places. The pepperoni was abundant and slightly spicy. I recommend Sal's if you're hanging around in East Dearborn and especially if you're heading to Downey for a beer!

Can never go wrong with the breadsticks. Get a side of ranch with them.

A long time ago, if you asked me "what's your favorite pizza spot in Dearborn?" I'd say "Sal's". But lately I'm not so sure I'd say that. The pizza just doesn't taste the same as it used to. They always overcook the pizza even after I say "please do not overcook the pizza". The only thing I love from here still is the turkey sub. Delicious. Also the wings aren't so bad from here especially because they use my favorite bbq sauce. (Open Pit) They have a nice outdoor patio area which is really nice if you ever want to dine in. But seriously they need to step up their pizza game because lately it's been disappointing me and my friends and family. Something needs to be changed.

Good food over priced. Prime eatery is cheaper and open to the same time if looking for something late good and affordable.

Fredi has the best pizza in Michigan…read more The guy is an artist and his pizza is his masterpiece. The crust is firm, crunchy, and flavorful and bready but light. The sauce is tart and a little sweet and there are small chunks of tomatoes here and there which infuse even more flavor with each bite. If you hold up a slice for a little CSI: Pizza action, you're going to see a firm "V" shape on the side profile with a slight bend towards the tip of the slice. As far as I'm concerned, the classics are the way to go. I would say "The Don" is the overall crowd pleaser with a little more cheese than the basic pep but I think I've permanently been converted to the "Moe Greene". It's simple, there's plenty of cheese, and you get to really enjoy the bread and sauce. The "Fredo" is also good if you want something a little different. It has a small dusting of hot sauce and a generous amount of diced chicken and a drizzling of ranch. The chicken and hot sauce are well balanced so you don't feel like you're chugging a bottle of Franks with your pizza. They've added outdoor seating since opening, the indoor wait area can get a little crowded, the wait times can be a little long during peak hours, and the drive to Melvindale isn't short. All those caveats aside, it's absolutely worth the trip and the wait.

It's a small restaurant but runs pretty efficiently. There aren't a lot of great seating options, so I think carryout is probably the way to go here. Or else arrive at opening or go during a non-holiday period. This place, despite the size, has a lot of personality and clearly a lot of repeat customers. In my short visit, I saw several people borrow one of the silver sharpies on the counter to write a message on the bricks, walls, counter, etc. The whole restaurant is covered with people's graffiti, which is kind of great because it just shows how much it is loved that people want to be part of it. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza, which was big enough to feed three people with light appetites. All three of us were very pleased with the quality and quantity of the pepperoni. The pizza was also served with fresh basil, which is a very nice touch. I personally think the crust and sauce could be a bit more flavorful, but it was still a very good pizza overall. I highly recommend Fredi the PizzaMan but caution that there might be a bit of a wait and/or lines.
