Had a team luncheon with pizza from this place. The plain cheese, meat, ham, pepperoni and veggies. We ordered 20 pizzas and all of it was eaten expect for 2/3 of a box of veggies and a couple of cheese pizzas. The ham, meat and pepperoni were the most popular, of course. I ordered two "baby" pizzas for the grands which were the circumference of a regular sized paper plate! My pizza was a "small" which looked like a medium in most places. No conveyor belt operation; each pizza is handmade when ordered. This eatery is in a real neighborhood so the parking is on the street next to existing homes. Not ideal. I was recently introduced to Sal's via Downey Brewing. The brewery hosted a St. Patty's day party and sobered us up (twice!) with Sal's pizza. They provided pepperoni and plain cheese. I smashed a couple of each variety and dug both of them. Before a trip to the Downey tap room, I called in an order for a large pepperoni that I'd pick up before swinging by the brewery. We drove into the residential neighborhood and spotted Sal's on the corner. Now, parking is kind of difficult unless there is a designated area I was unaware of. I parked in the back by the garage (this biz obviously used to be a house) and walked around to the entrance located off a gorgeous patio. There are a few tables inside but it's not a super-cozy space. They accept credit cards. Our large pizza was only $10. It came out of the oven just minutes after we arrived. They were nice enough to give us a couple plates and napkins, then off we went. When we got to the brewery, we opened the box and were treated with some of the best cheesy pizza we've managed to find. I really like their crust! It's a bit different than other places. The pepperoni was abundant and slightly spicy. I recommend Sal's if you're hanging around in East Dearborn and especially if you're heading to Downey for a beer! read more

Simple the wings are probably some of the best in Metro Detroit..They're hand battered and then fried and dipped in your choice of sauce or naked if you prefer that. My favorite sauce is BBQ. The spicy(Cajun) fries with Ranch on the side is a great combo. The pastas are also a must try. The turkey sub is considered a favorite by many. A long time ago, if you asked me "what's your favorite pizza spot in Dearborn?" I'd say "Sal's". But lately I'm not so sure I'd say that. The pizza just doesn't taste the same as it used to. They always overcook the pizza even after I say "please do not overcook the pizza". The only thing I love from here still is the turkey sub. Delicious. Also the wings aren't so bad from here especially because they use my favorite bbq sauce. (Open Pit) They have a nice outdoor patio area which is really nice if you ever want to dine in. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because the prices are a bit high, but you really get what you pay for! The dough is always thin to crisp and the turbo crust adds the perfect touch to any pizza. They have a variety of good foods on their menu. I recommend the steak sub, breadsticks, cajun fries, boneless or boned BBQ/buffalo wings, or if you're feeling a bit crazy, try their BBQ chicken pizza. So I came today and ordered 3 pasta salad and asked for EXTRA DRESSING, I saw that he only placed 3 the customer next to me told me he didn't hear you for the extra so the lady on the register told her that he went to the kitchen to get me some more, the customer looked and me and told me no he didn't, I told her I'm sure he went to get me more, when I got to work there were only 3 inside, I had to drive 17 Min back, and when I got there the respected lady on the register started fighting me telling me that I said extra and she things that that's enough, next time tell her double and that I didn't know how to explain, that was sooooooo disrespectful from them, I don't get is the dressing that expensive for them they are scared to run out? Amazing pizza! The owner is hands down at his eatery and makes sure everything comes out to perfection. The pizza is a thin crust so it doesn't blow up in your belly. The bread sticks...fugetteaboutit! The decor is primarily for a great take out but there are tables for at least 30 diners. Theze eyetalians make a goot turkey sandwich! Great pizza! One of my favorite spots to grab a pizza at. My new favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza. It you have to make with the TURBO crust(garlic butter and Parmesan)! It's a must try. Their halal pepperoni is amazing and probably one of the best I've had. The cheese is of high quality and also amazing. Turkey subs is also a great choice but always get double meat on it.
