We have used Mr Rekey in different locations over the years. They are always the best. Friendly, fast and reasonably priced.

The worst company ever!!! They sent out a technician who had no experience with my locks and she kept saying I've never seen these before. I asked her to call for a more experienced technician but she kept saying she could handle it. Welp she did a terrible job. Most of my deadbolts are stuck and hard to open now. Never had any issues opening or being stuck before the rekey service. The kitchen door deadbolt doesn't even lock. She removed the latch to make it lock now I have no latch there. When I asked her to get a supervisor to find a solution she went outside with the keys with my doors locked essentially locking me in my own house without a key! I was on the verge of calling police. The customer service person didn't help either, they kept blaming it on my doors in a newly remodeled house where I had no issues with my deadbolts locking before. Complete scary nightmare. I have to call another company to redo all the locks again. ... wasted money read more

I needed to rekey my office and wanted pricing since I am located in a business plaza. I submitted a yelp quote request and received a speedy response along with very reasonable pricing from Mr. Reykey. I called to schedule a service and they were able to send someone the next day. Noelle called when she was 30 minutes away and did a wonderful job. She answered all my questions and finished the job very quickly. TERRIBLE Customer Service Made appointment to re-key multiple locks and got a typical 8a-12p window for the next day. (They said I'd be the first job of the day but that the exact time would depend on traffic.) Mr. Rekey also said I would receive a courtesy call 30 minutes before the technician's arrival. By 12:30p on the scheduled day of service, I HAD NOT RECEIVED AS MUCH AS A PHONE CALL, so I called Mr. Rekey myself. "Lena" (sp) got in touch with the technician who told her he was at a job, but could be at my place in 1 - 1.5 hrs (i.e., 2pm). I expressed my frustration with their operation and she said that the only options, as far as rectifying the situation, were for me to wait until 2pm or to reschedule. Lena said nothing could be done to make it right -- because "she couldn't go back in time" -- they could only move forward. Eventually, it came out that Lena didn't oversee the area but actually "Val". Of course, then Val gets on the phone (~1:10pm) and says he will call the technician and can get him to leave his other job and be at my place 'in a few minutes.' As you might imagine, the technician showed up after 25 minutes (1:40pm). He was friendly and was in/out in minutes. So, yes, the locks were changed quickly, but Mr. Rekey wasted my entire morning (and then some). I still can't understand what the delay was and, obviously, got no clear or sufficient explanation. I don't know if the number (512) 999-7411 goes to a Houston office or just a general dispatch, but I do know that AARON, LENA, VAL, and KIMBERLY (mgr.) dropped the ball in this case. I WILL NOT do business with Mr. Rekey again and, unless you have time to waste, recommend you don't either. read more

There were 2 guys who came out in a nice, professional van. They were clean cut and not scary or threatening at all - which is important because it was just myself and my baby at home when they came to rekey my locks, and some places have scary or dirty looking people who come out for service calls. They were extremely polite and courteous and more than helpful even with a door I didn't have rekeyed! Pretty speedy and worth every dollar for their customer service. I cannot stress how polite and courteous they were! Amazing customer service and will definitely think of them or recommend them for future needs. They showed up on time, were very polite (even though I was being annoying because I kept remembering several requests I had throughout the process rather than telling him everything upfront), and did a great job. read more

It is only once things don't perfectly that the flaws in a business come out. I used Mr. Rekey to do work at my rental properties.... in the past year, 9 properties at about $300.00+/property for rekeys, new locks, smoke detectors and peep holes. All was fine until our last job and there were two major issues... I'll focus on the last one... I called Mr. Rekey because of a beeping smoke detector that had just been installed. When in the house, the technician found that my husband had already replaced the battery in the smoke detector, since our tenant was about to move in. The technician then suggested that I give him work to do replacing a peep hole, because they were going to charge me 59.00 for a service call. What happened to the "warranty call"? I protested to him and in an email to the company, then WITHOUT authorization, Mr. Rekey immediately charged my credit card they have kept on file. This was no accident! In a follow up phone call, I was unable to resolve this issue even though the woman referred to the visit made as a "warranty call." Additionally, the previous incident was just way too bizarre to comprehend... the technician LOCKED ME OUT of my rental house and then denied it; because of the circumstance, there is not way this was accidental. Again, no resolution with Mr. Rekey, just denial. It was sweet knowing you, but you've lost my business Mr. Rekey! Sadly, I've referred you to several landlord friends. Beware! read more

Jesse came out to my place and rekeyed 4 deadbolts and changed out 2 door knobs. He was very courteous, professional and worked at a superman pace. All of the work was done in what seemed like less than 30 minutes. I wish I had more stars to give him he was the best locksmith I have ever dealt with. I personally have installed door knobs, deadbolts and doors themselves and understand the process, so his speed and attention to detail was well noted.
