My partner and I had a late night at an after work thing, got out around 8pm and were starving. What better to cure a case of the hungries than some Chinese food? And so close to home!
Sadly, boy was I wrong. We ordered spring rolls, chicken with cashew nut and stir fried rice noodles with chicken, and you could hardly distinguish one dish from the other. Which would have been fine, if any of it was something you'd want to eat.
The noodles were limp and oily, the veggies were sad. The meat was indistinguishable from the veggies. Everything left either a bitter taste or greasy residue in your mouth. My partner and I both ate just enough to stave off the hangries and then promptly tossed the rest in the bin. Dinner that night was cereal and milk a la carte.
The folks running the shop were nice and prompt when I arrived, although the restaurant itself is quite bare bones and the configuration is much better suited to take away. The food is cheap, but then again...it should be. read more
