The ice cream here is Kawartha brand so it's quality stuff. Sometimes the flavours swap around. My go-to is almost always Black Raspberry Thunder. You can never go wrong with that. I ordered an Iced White Chocolate Mocha once and unfortunately that was a miss for me. It was an absolute sugar bomb that was way too sweet, but maybe I'm not the target audience for it. I did go into a dessert shop and order an ice coffee. I think the place recently went through some renovations. It looks pretty cute inside and there are some nice little decor pieces that make for some pretty Instagrammable pictures.

On this occasion, a friend of mine, known as DJ PTFire, was providing music for the guests on the patio. Luckily, the weather cooperated, with the exception of a very brief sprinkle. Besides the good music, I enjoyed their pizza, pistachio gelato, and some refreshing beverages. Everything was very good and the music really created a great ambiance. It has been popular among locals since they opened in 2008. The prices are quite reasonable at $3 for 1 scoop and $4 for 2 scoops. Even banana splits are only $5. All prices include taxes! We had a 2-scoop cone: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Pralines & Cream. Both scoops were creamy and tasty. My son really loved them but I did manage to get a little bit of both flavours. There is some savoury food served too like hot dogs, fries, poutine, and coffees. It is owned by a husband and wife team: George and Irene. Both are very pleasant people. They love having fun signs such as: "adults must be accompanied by children" and "children left unattended in this store will be sold to the circus". You can only pay by cash or e-transfer. There is no phone number because I can see they are extremely busy. You can still contact them via social media. There are picnic tables outside. During pandemic times, all staff and customers wear face masks and there is plexiglass used. Only one family is allowed in the small order area at a time. Just outside the entrance, you can be entertained by a famous saxaphone player, Orlando (a Cuban), during nice the afternoons. Today (2021-09-05), we were lucky to also have a guest keyboardist also from Cuba. There is no free WiFi. It is wheelchair  accessible. You can use a washroom by request. The ice cream sold here is Kawartha Dairy, so that bit is pretty standard. But the servings are pretty big & a single is only $3 and a double $4, including tax. So it's cheaper than going to a Kawartha outlet They only accept cash & etransfer. The guy is pretty friendly, though there were some ice crystals in the ice cream.

They are also one of the few allergen-friendly spots (most places use nuts or almond powder surprisingly). They have a monthly soft serve ice cream flavour and I strongly recommend dropping by and sharing with someone (it's huge). I recently went and got their orange creamsicle flavour (twisted with vanilla) and thoroughly enjoyed it. My favourites so far are their blueberry and mango flavours too. This month seems to be a strawberry lychee mix, so will definitely be back before the end of the month to try that out!
