They arrive on-time, their pricing is straight forward and never changes after they give you a quote. The first project they installed for me was a hot water heater. I bid this project out to three companies and the first two gave me a price over the phone and then when they arrived the price increased by 50 - 70% based on what they call required updates. I then called North Texas Custom Plumbing and the price they gave me on the phone not only beat the other two companies but it also didn't change when they arrived and they installed all the same updates the other companies wanted to charge me extra for. System works great! My second project I used North Texas Custom Plumbing for was a whole house water softening system. I didn't even bid the project out this time because I knew the price they gave me was the best. They took the time to show me all my options and explain exactly what they would be doing for each option and we decided to go with a new Fluid Dynamic Hometron system. System works great! Don't waste your time with other companies, go straight to North Texas Custom Plumbing.

This company has a very specific way of doing business that, in my opinion, takes advantage of…read morenaïve consumers. They are friendly on the phone and prompt, but the first thing they do is examine the work and then tell you the price -- and then ask you to sign a contract that you will pay that amount. This seems like a fair way to do business, but it's not. What you do not know is that their pricing is ridiculously high. In my particular example, I was charged $350 for (and I'm not exaggerating) 15 minutes of work. It was a trivial job and they should have told me that. Instead, they relied on me being an unsophisticated home-owner who wants the problem solved and is too naïve to believe that any reputable plumber would grossly overcharge. When the work is done and you're like, "What? You're charging me that amount for a few minutes work," they remind you that you signed a contract. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never do business with this company again. Not only do I feel ripped off and taken advantage of by this transaction, but now I'm suspicious of every repair company. Contrast this with another plumbing repair I recently had. My garbage disposal was jammed. On the phone, he estimated it would $300+ depending on the problem. When he came out, he noticed that it was a very simple (2 minute) fix and then, rather than gouging me, said, "I don't feel right charging you our estimated amount. How about a $95 trip charge and $50 for the repair?" So different.
