Mr Nigel's is an amazing grooming salon !! Love them I highly recommend them. They are prompt and friendly to the dogs.

I took my Rag-doll cat McGee, to Mr. Nigel's I spent $60 and left $20 for a tip.When I got home and looked at McGee he didn't look any better than when I had dropped him off. McGee's entire neck and chest was not washed, nor brushed, his nose wasn't even cleaned and his stomach not cleaned or brushed, yet she took my money! If, you can't groom a prized pure bread cat then you should have said so! Do not take your cat here! One should think about the dishonesty of this groomer ! read more

We have only been to Mr. Nigel's once but so far so great! Very pleased to have the doggy spa experience for no more cost than any other shop we considered. Parking was very convenient. Text when ready for pickup. They were able to cut her short without having any of the irritation she usually leaves the previous groomer with and they used sensitive products so she didn't come out smelling like a toxic powder puff. read more

Our interactions with Mr Nigel's started out positive, as Michelle, the owner provided us with guidance on when we should cut our St Berdoodle, and suggested we wait until 9 months to do a full cut. We scheduled ahead of time, and were eager to get her cut as her hair was unmanageable at the length it was, despite regular brushing and care. After extensive research on what type of cut we wanted, we settled on the "lion cut." It's just as it sounds, keep the hair around her shoulders, and head longer, and cut the rest including the face, short, a cut we (and anyone can find) via a quick google search. I took her in and explained to the girl that would be doing the cut what we wanted. She said she hadn't done a Lion Cut on a dog that size, but she had experience in doing that cut with smaller dogs, and seemed genuinely excited to do the job. When I picked her up, I couldn't have been more disappointed. She looked like she had been given a Victorian Collar. She was nearly completely shaved, outside of this terrible collar, and the look was no where near what we were looking for, and she had nicks from the clippers under her armpit. Amanda reached out to us, and we took her back. She was very nice, and did what she could to fix it, but even then, when we asked her to "blend" the longer hair, and not touch her head, she returned completely shaved and more hair trimmed on her head. I explained to Amanda we would not likely be returning, and shortly after I received a message from Michelle the owner stating that our dog was matted and they had to shave her, which while there may be some merit to the comment, she returned home with more mats than she arrived with, as my wife spends significant time with our dog ensuring she doesn't have matting. Overall the experience was quite poor, and we won't be returning. read more

Mr Nigel's is great! The price is not bad since it includes a bath, hair cut, nail trim, and his ears cleaned out. Their staff is super friendly and the place is very clean! It's in such a convenient location with parking in the back for guests. Would definitely recommend taking your pet here to be groomed! Only down side is that when you make an appointment, you'll have to call and LVM since they don't have an online appointment system yet. But they do call back pretty fast! read more

So happy with the groomers at Mr. Nigels!! We normally have to drive 45 min to get our cat groomed but we stumbled on Mr. Nigels thanks to a lot of Facebook recommendations. First let me say that Diego has been kicked out of 3 groomers in the past so we get nervous taking him somewhere new. They got him in and out in 45 minutes and did such an amazing job!! He may be a bit grouchy but we are SO happy with the staff here! We will definitely be going back as long as they let us come here are some before and after pics! read more

Took my friends dogs there today. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they only service dogs who are mute! That must make the Groomer "special!" Great job with our black lab. He gets extremely anxious with nail trimmings, and needs a lot of reassurance. Shedding shampoo did an awesome job as well. There's no shedding when we pet him. He seemed to enjoy his time at Mr Nigel's :) read more

I'm happy to report the excellent customer service and care provided during the grooming of this sweet 15 year old girl at Mr. Nigel's yesterday. Upon arrival at this upscale salon, I noticed comfortable seating and vibrant pieces of original artwork. One woman was standing with her leashed dog at the back of this large, main entry so I approached the reception counter. After the receptionist asked at what time the woman's appointment had been scheduled, her reply indicated she was an hour late. I winced, wondering if I was going to make an important meeting I had carefully scheduled after I'd been given a very clear explanation of my drive time to Mr. Nigel's along with the needed time for introduction to and consultation on this new client, which indicated a level of concern I'd not previously encountered and I very much appreciated. However, the receptionist turned immediately to me and asked the same question, to which my answer equaled the exact time on the clock. The owner, who must have been monitoring this exchange from the privacy of the salon area, asked one of her employees to please retrieve the woman's dog while the receptionist handed me a short form to complete in a private room, adjacent to the lobby and also beautifully designed and comfortably furnished. The owner arrived within five minutes, introduced herself to me and my dog, reviewed my completed form and asked pertinent questions. She was then very careful in escorting my girl back through the door to the salon. I was in and out within 20 minutes after being given an approximate time for a new client of this age and breed of 20-30 minutes and feeling assured she was in caring hands. The text for pick up also came at the front of the expected time, checkout was a breeze and the owner took the time to personally bring Mia out and let me know how the appointment went and the behavior of my old girl throughout her spa day. Mia looked amazing and hesitant to leave her new favorite hangout :) Once home, I anticipated that she would try to sleep the rest of the day (her typical response after grooming, although her sleep has always been interrupted by the discomfort felt in her ears following the deep plucking required for a Standard Poodle). Instead, she slept soundly and has shown absolutely no signs of any pain or discomfort since! She obviously feels spiffy and has been prancing around her younger brother, showing off her lovely new coiffure and pretty necklace. Thank you, Michelle! Mia gives four paws up! read more

In response to your comments Michelle our dog was not severely matted as we brushed him daily with the tools you suggested. He had matting but typical of a long haired dog. We asked you to cut him down but not shave. Also you charged us $82 vs $65. This is the second time out of three visits this happened. A shave over grooming and extra charges. read more

This was my first time having my dog groomed at Mr Nigel's. Arrived on time for my appointment. Groomer was not there so I had a consultation with I assume was the receptionist. Gave here very specific instructions on how I wanted her groomed. I even showed her picture. She stated that they take pride in there work and they groom lots of doodles. She stated that she would past this info to the groomer when she comes in. Got a call to pick her up. When they brought her out I was quite upset because she was NOT groomed as I had requested. Spoke with the owner who apologized for the miscommunication. She also stated that not all groomer cut doodles the same. I gave instructions hence the consultation and if there was any question or doubt about how I wanted her cut then the groomer should have called. Needless to say I'm very disappointed! read more

Ive been to many groomers & just switched to mr nigels - I can't say enough great things about them. The owner sat down with me to get to know my dogs and my preferences and was so sweet! I had to bring my daughter with me and they offered to bring the dogs right out to my car. Best cuts theyve had and really felt like I got quality service and could trust them with my pups. My dogs (1 adult, 1 puppy) were scheduled for a grooming this morning. I used to take my older dog to the previous establishment, The Groom Room and didn't have a problem. Upon arriving at Mr. Nigel's, the owner informed me that she can't have barking dogs in her facility because she will get evicted. Does this make sense to anyone? Dogs bark, especially when they're in a new place with other dogs. Why would anyone rent a place to groom dogs that does not tolerate barking??? When I asked the owner why she didn't inform me of this "policy" when I scheduled the appointment, she said she can't possibly know that my dogs would bark. I have never encountered such rudeness and a complete lack of common sense from any grooming facility that I have patronized. So if you have a dog that doesn't bark and you like paying to be treated rudely then this place is for you. If on the other hand, you see the complete absurdity of rejecting dogs because they bark in a grooming facility, you'll take a hard pass on Mr. Nigel's. read more

We have used this groomer in the past. They did a good job grooming our cat, that wasn't the issue. The owner Michele is absolutely the rudest person I've ever spoke with on the phone. Honestly honey if you have no skills interacting with people you should let someone else you work with answer the phones and deal with pet owners. Jess who returned my call, sounded very outgoing and gracious and couldn't sound any sweeter, and was very nice and helpful in her return call to me. Michele on the other hand, sounded annoyed and was beyond rude with her comments to me when I called to make an appointment. She began the interaction by correcting me on the name of the business, and then proceeded to tell me that they do not keep records of appointments from the past. WTF??? I own a business and have records when people have bought a product from me. My cat has been there several times over the past 4-5 yrs, I don't bring her in every 6 mos, just when she needs to be groomed. I can't believe an owner of a business would interact with clients and potential clients in this manner. I have dealt with her in the past and experienced the same cold. uninterested rudeness, I figured at that time, maybe it was a bad day for her, give her a break, but no that's just the way she deals with some people I guess.
