Food and service is average but don't go there if you plan on eating in and having a conversation with someone. Last few times the background music speakers were cranked up so loud that us and others at nearby tables were having issues conversing with others at the same table. On our last visit mid afternoon earlier this year, I went and politely asked the only counter girl if the music speakers could be turned down a little so we could talk while we ate. She complied but 5 minutes later music was cranked back up to where it was before. So I went back again and asked the same counter girl and she said that the owner had turned the music back up and wanted it that way. Then I asked if I could speak to the owner and she said that the owner wasn't here now and had just come in for a minute and that he had cranked the speakers back up loud and then left - which we found very hard to believe. We left and felt that we were lied to by that counter girl (slim w/straight dark hair). Won't be back. read more

We recently stopped by for our first visit, bringing the whole family in to celebrate my Dad's birthday with a fish fry. Everyone received nearly 1lb of fried haddock with their meals, and it was immediately clear that the fryer oil was recently changed. My son opted for the fried shrimp which he promptly devoured before I was able to steal one for the purposes of this review. On our way out, my daughter inquired about the price of Haddock for pickup orders, and was told that it is priced at almost $15/lb. In our opinion, there may not be a better fish fry available within a reasonable driving distance. read more

Overall it was pretty average. We were served fairly quickly but the prices were high, especially considering the mediocre food. It wasn't bad but it didn't have much flavor. The interior looks very nice and was clean. read more

I've heard great things about this place and can now say I concur. The restaurant has numerous tables inside as well as a really nice lakeside area. The service was extremely friendly. I ordered the small fish sandwich and asked if they could grill my haddock versus breaded and fried. No problem, the cook said. My sandwich was perfectly seasoned and the fish so fresh, moist and tender, it flaked apart beautifully. My mom got the grilled chicken breast sandwich and said it too was perfectly cooked. The prices are extremely reasonable. This is a great value for both quality and quantity. read more

Let me start by saying I'm 53 and we have been eating Mr Mikes since I was little. Every Friday night in our family growing up, we had Mr Mikes haddock. Whenever someone is new to the area, I always recommend this place. Absolutely delicious everytime, UNTIL last night. We ordered our usual, 3 pieces of haddock and 2 large potato salad. The salad was delicious but the haddock was soggy(first time I've ever had it like this). I was embarrassed of all the compliments I gave about the fish to our friend who was trying it for the first time. I guess I just hope it was an off night and that isn't the norm. Located in a tourist center building off to the side of the parking lot for a lakeside access, seafood is on the menu for this little fast-food restaurant. And fast it was - I had barely sat down and my fish sandwich combo was delivered to my table. Great prices for a lunch menu, I recommend. read more

Love a good Friday night fish dinner and was pleasantly surprised by Mr. Mike Saefood near the lake. It's a very nice place, clean, great service, price and portions are good. Good value for your buck. My wife and daughter enjoyed the fish fry dinner and I enjoyed my broiled fish dinner. Outstanding job, look forward to another visit. read more

Every time we try to go here, it's closed. They have the strangest hours. We finally got to go for the first time on Friday and we were pretty impressed. We ordered a Texas Hot Fish Sandwich dinner, Clam Strips dinner, and a side of macaroni salad. The fish by itself was delicious. Smooth, flakey, and buttery. The clam strip were very fresh and not over breaded. My biggest complaint was the Texas Hot Sauce (like a chili sauce). It overpowered the fish so much you didn't even realize you were eating fish. And for something so flakey and so buttery, it was a big shame. read more

Gave it one star because there's no way to give zero. They have 2 things on the menu that aren't deep fried. My husband and I were the first in our group to order. And we had the audacity to order something grilled. Our entire group was almost finished with their platters and many other orders were completed. When I asked about our order I was told grilled things take a lot longer and then waited 10 more minutes without food. We finally walked out. The fried platters looked great. So go there if you want that. read more

Absolutely love this place and the food they serve. The Friday mac and cheese is my favorite and I love love love the new hand breaded chicken tenders. I eat here probably twice a week for lunch and I am never disappointed. Hopefully I will be using their catering service for my wedding as well! Keep up the good work! read more
