The tour was me and 2 other couples: one couple were newlyweds and the other couple were on their very 1st trip together (as a couple). (Honestly where do you go after a trip to a Hawaii?!?) We could not have had a group that meshed BETTER than all of us. Our guide Henry clearly knew "the good spots" because we didn't stop anywhere that anyone else was... he made us climb down treacherous "root ladders" and walk through the coldest water up to our necks but his ideas were always SO worth it. I found Coconut Information and thought it was a great fit because our group loves coconuts! Ryan was so passionate and knowledgeable not only about coconuts but also conservation and sustainability - we were all amazed at the work he put in for his farm. It was so lush with all types of fruit trees and produce - we even saw baby ducks that had hatched just the day before. The experience was a farm tour, educational workshop, coconut tasting, and cooking class all rolled into one. We really enjoyed learning about the multi-faceted coconut and about Ryan's journey with the farm. The coconut noodles he made us were SO GOOD. Seriously blew our minds and can't wait to make it at home and share with others. Truly a fun, inspiring, and educational experience. We couldn't stop raving about it after we left. Ryan even sent us home with a "4-pack" of coconuts so we could have some fresh coconut water for the rest of our trip. Highly recommend - please go check it out!

My husband and I had a blast today on our Maui Adventure tour. Jay and Allison were our guides on…read moreour 30 person snorkeling raft. Jay was a knowledgeable and capable captain. And Allison was super chill but full of info. We all felt really well cared for. We headed out toward lanai to snorkel but the swells were so big we headed back in toward Maui. The swells were a little scary but Jay and Allison were not phased. They handled them beautifully. They stopped at so many amazing whales breaching I almost forgot we were not on a whale tour. We also saw spinner dolphins. So cool! We got to go snorkeling in two different locations and both were beautiful. At the first location the coral was beautiful and we saw TONS of fish! At the second location we saw turtles and sharks. It was a perfect day! Thank you Maui Adventure tours and our awesome guides, Jay and Allison!!

We did the sunrise summit tour and bike down. First shuttle picked us up on time from our…read moreaccommodations and dropped us off at the main location in Hailu. From there we were set up with helmets and gear for biking and listened to safety info. Definitely grab the pants and jackets that they offer, better to have them than not. Helmets were full over the head with mouth coverings. We wore our sunglasses underneath. I wish I had brought a cross body bag or similar to carry phones. There were plenty of opportunities to grab items out of the van on the bike ride down though! Our driver / tour guide Edie was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and honest about making sure we had a safe trip. The bike ride down was awesome. Lots of stops for pictures and opportunities to learn about the island. Our guide drew was also very knowledgeable and told us all the great food spots when we stopped in Makawao. Our group had about 12 riders and a large variety of abilities / speeds but i felt that everyone could go the pace they preferred which was great!

The catamaran was pretty sweet, with some really comfy bean bags overlooking the edge out to the ocean. While we did occasionally get splashed in this area, it was worth the unobstructed view of the sunset and the breeze in my hair. The crew was especially sweet and treated all of us like absolute royalty. A note to those who are prone to motion sickness: do not try to be brave and only wear sea bands thinking you'll be okay. Take your Dramamine an hour before you board the catamaran. While the first half of our dinner cruise was fine with my motion sickness, the second half of the trip left me feeling really queasy around dinner service time. This made me very sad. This was no fault of the crew, and 100% my fault for thinking I could tough it out. If you are ill-prepared, the crew has ginger ale, club soda and ginger chews to help. Speaking of dinner, the few bites I was able to eat on our first trip were fantastic: a full dinner buffet prepared by Cafe Jai. The salmon was perfectly tender, as was the short rib. The caesar salad was just the right amount of tangy (and the extra dressing was really great on the salmon as well.) I'm not sure what kind of sauce was on the crispy seasoned potatoes but they were absolutely delightful. And of course, the crown on top of a delicious meal was the mini brownie cup we were served for dessert before we wrapped up the trip. Our second trip (where I was prepared with some Dramamine) was a memorial for our grandparents, where we released their cremains at sea with eco-urns. I must say that the crew handled everything wonderfully. We had the full bar, another beautiful buffet spread including some delicious crispy chicken, a pesto pasta salad, pulled beef sliders, and rolls. After we said our emotional goodbyes, we were given rose petals to release into the ocean. We even received certificates after the trip that gave us the coordinates of where my grandparents cremains were released. I seriously cannot thank Sea Maui enough for giving my family a truly memorable experience on our trip to Maui. They made our trip so special. A million thanks for the kindness!

The Irish gentleman who pre-briefed us before leaving for the tour had a great sense of humor and set the tone for our excursion. Once aboard, the Captain and his crew were polite, cordial, fun loving and efficient. The food was great and the crew busied theirselves insuring everyone was comfortable, had drinks and the proper snorkeling gear. We saw many, many whales and at least 12 displays of whales big and small leaping out of the water. The hour long snorkeling provided the passengers with a myriad of tropical fish and sea turtles. We even had one try to climb the ladder into the boat. The fees for the excursion were fair and we definitely got our moneys worth for all we saw and participated in. I highly recommend The Sea Maui if you are looking for a great experience for you and your family or tour group.

The view going up the mountain in the van was gorgeous, but when you're biking down is even better. The quality of Maui Best Downhill's bikes are of superior quality--with wide seats that are comfortable and the choice of 7 gears. It was easy to descend the mountain on their Trek bikes. I was easily able to soak in the views of the Maui shoreline while also keeping my balance. The bike ride took about 2 hours for me and my friends to complete-- I'm sure you could finish in less time than that. We stopped multiple times to take photos and use the restroom. This tour is definitely worth getting-- I'd say it's worth even more! If you know how to ride a bike, this is the activity for you! Soaring down Haleakala is an experience I'll never forget!

He is very welcoming, friendly, and informative. He ensured we all were familiar with the trail and our (very comfortable!) bikes and included an entertaining overview of Makawao, the nearby cowboy ranch, and other areas we would pass through on our way down. Be sure to soak in all the spectacular views as you cruise down the mountain because I doubt you'll get to see anything more beautiful than this. Jason continually cracked me up, but in addition to providing laughter and levity, he offered great tips and insights on things to do during your zip. Our whole group (four of us) kind of had a team bond along with our two leaders and their apprentice (Simon) which I enjoyed immensely. Both leaders also provided commentary on jungle fauna and flora, especially edibles. My favorite tasting was the red ginger and the humble banana that was incredibly sweet.
