And Nick with his 20,000 hours and 37 years of flying (20 years in Maui) was safe, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! I'm a retired Air Force pilot with 22 years of experience. He was absolutely outstanding and made my wife and I feel totally at ease! We saw waterfalls and valleys that are not accessible any other way than a helicopter. We started our day off a little early because we wanted to be out in the air as the air was still fresh. We had Nick as our pilot and boy what a treat. My son who is 10 opted to do doors off and Nick approved because of his maturity level. Doors off is absolutely the way to go but please come prepared in addition to wear in the flight suit it was pretty chilly up there. Being cold was just a small sacrifice to pay for the absolute beautiful creations you will see well up in the aircraft. We chose the road to Hana and what a treat! Doors off to Molokini was amazing. The location is clean and follows CDC guidelines. The staff friendly and informative and then the flight was simply breath taking. Over west Maui across to the cliffs in Molokini - 6th tallest in the world with amazing views of multiple waterfalls. I wanted to take my mom for an open door helicopter tour of West Maui and Molokai with cliff side landing and found this company from a YouTube vide. I've actually noticed them on Instagram a couple of times as well. After doing more research, decided they were the perfect choice for what I was looking for. On the morning of our scheduled flight (7:30am), it was quite gloomy with a few showers, very windy as well so the pilot didn't think it was safe to fly. We were super sad to hear about that, especially since they were all booked up until the end of the month!! I still insisted to give us a call in case of last minute cancellations, which is rare, and kept our fingers crossed. Well lo and behold, we were enjoying breakfast back in our hotel when I receive a text from them around 10am saying they had a last minute cancellation, and if we wanted to come back for a noon flight. HECK YES!! Only thing is we wouldn't have time for the cliffside landing, which was a bummer. It's like God made it happen! The weather changed dramatically, no clouds, super sunny, and our pilot Nick was super informative and made us feel comfortable. We had such a good time, especially my mom who was nervous about the doors off, but ended up loving the tour! It gets very windy though, and you're not allowed to put your hands or legs outside the helicopter, or any cameras/gopros/phones for that matter. They do provide free lanyards for your phone. The 21st of March was our last day in Hawaii and we wanted to finish it off with something exciting so we booked a Molokai Cliffs and Waterfalls doors off tour with Pacific Helicopter Tours and I'm so glad we did! Kamille was our host on the ground and went through the check-in and safety briefing where you get outfitted with a sweet fanny pack life vest and offered us coffee or various other drinks. We then got escorted to the helipad where Sam was waiting for us to jump in. Now I've never been in a helicopter before let alone a "doors off" tour so I kinda assumed it would be super bumpy and a little scary seeing how there's no doors. Nope...I was wrong, its was super comfortable (heater works good for the chilly morning), not bumpy at all, and I've felt more at risk in a Jeep with no doors than the helicopter with no doors but that could just be how amazing Sam was as a pilot! SAM. WAS. AMAZING! Seriously when I come back to Maui I will ask for Sam to be my pilot again. Any time she saw a whale or went into a valley near a waterfall she would spin the helicopter so both passengers had the chance to get photos. She explained different features of what we were seeing and some history of Hawaii. Thanks again Sam! So you might be thinking $325 is a bit expensive. For the experience, views, customer service, and all the amazing photos you'll take its really not. This tour is a doors off tour which made it a lot more exciting and able to take better pictures and look down into the ocean where we saw a few schools of humpback whales Definitely would recommend to take this tour because everyone was friendly and knowledgeable about everything. Me and my wife went on few helicopter tours (Grand Canyon and Big Island) but this is so far the best and here are the reasons: - no wait time - greeted like family - open door but they informed safety features (mainly keeping hands inside and watching for camera/GoPro) - took pictures with our own camera, they even took with their camera and messaged us the photo. This was hands down the best thing we did during our trip to Maui! We did the doors off Molokai and West Maui waterfalls tour and it was absolutely amazing. There's no other way to see these waterfalls except from a helicopter! The staff from very friendly and professional. This review was long overdue! But here goes - My wife and I took the Pacific Helicopters 1 hour and it turned out to be the best experience of our Hawaii vacation. Kamille helped us with booking and check-in. She was very responsive and everything was a breeze pre-flight. Our pilot was Nick. He was definitely the major reason for our experience being so wonderful. Through out the flight he gave us a ton of insights about Maui and its neighboring islands. Apart from being an awesome pilot, Nick has a great sense of humor as well. I strongly suggest choosing Pacific over other tours since their tours are doors-off with only 2 seats in the back and 1 in front. So everyone gets a great view. Other tours operators have helicopters which have 4 seats in the back and 2 in front with closed doors. So not as much fun. We are so glad we choose pacific over others! read more

We did a Maui waterfall tour this morning, it was awesome. Did some waterfalls on the Kahului side then flew over to Kapalua airport. From there we went down the coast to Iao valley. After that, back out to the coast and back to the heliport. Pilot Ryan is an awesome pilot and very knowledgeable. He will show points of interest during the flight.
