From the start we were greeted with a smile and helpful staff. We were supposed to do a 3 island tour however they could not get enough people to book it so they put us on the molokai 2 island tour with 3 other people. The 3 other people did not show so we got a private tour with our pilot Josh. Josh was safe, informative, and made my wife feel at ease for her first time! Josh took us through canyons for awesome waterfalls, over the coral reef, and whale watching on our way back. By far worth every penny! When we returned the staff was very helpful and we learned of a new breakfast place called Baked on Maui. It was off the beaten path and a perfect recommendation. Awful customer service. We just lost $1500 plus for 4 and a honeymoon ride from this company. Showed up 20 minutes PRIOR to check in time and they would not accept or AZ drivers license. we were told we had time to go to Kihei and get them. They called on our way back and we told them EtA was 11 minutes out. They said "okay". We showed up in the 10 minutes - 2 minutes before take off with helicopter still out back door and they would not let us Go. Very rude about it, no refund on no rescheduling. Horrible communication and customer service. Told us to bring real IDs. We brought real IDs and the male who checked us in told us when we arrived 1 hour early that they did not work. The male agent then told us we had enough time to grab our passports even though he knew we were staying 30 minutes away. On our way back a woman agent called and asked what our eta was. When I said it was 8:59, they said "OK". She even admitted saying she said it was ok to the entire staff! Whenever arrived and walked in exactly at 8:59 as described on the phone that they just called me on, they said we missed our flight and we were out the $1,500 we just paid. The helicopter was still sitting on the runway. Extremely irrational especially since they knew we were on our way, knew we would arrive at 8:59, and they proceeded to tell us "OK". Never once did they tell us that it was not ok and that we would not be able to take our ride. The "manager" then told us we could not reschedule or refund even though they told us multiple times that we were ok to get our passports and would arrive at 8:59. Major communication error between management and staff because if they would have told us, the multiple opportunities they had to tell us that we would not be able to take the flight, we wouldn't have gone through all the effort to try to make it in "time". Completely ruined our honeymoon excursion that we were so highly looking forward too! Highly recommend Blue Hawaiian for your flights! Took us in with arms wide open and amazing customer service! Fortunately, the moment we lifted off and the earth receded gracefully, her anxiety evaporated, giving way to unfiltered astonishment. The 75-minute flight enjoyed weather so flawless it seemed custom-ordered. Our pilot, Ethan--undisputed champion of the day and recipient of our profound gratitude--navigated us over Maui, Molokai, and Lanai with the serene authority of someone who unmistakably knew exactly what he was doing. We began with panoramic sweeps of West Maui and Kapalua, then crossed the Pailolo Channel for an intimate view of Elephant Rock--a geological formation resembling an elephant that clearly lost an argument with erosion. Circling Molokai, we admired the world's tallest sea cliffs (surpassing most personal regrets in height), ancient Hawaiian fish ponds, and the longest continuous fringing reef in the United States--nature flexing every possible asset. Next, we proceeded to Lanai's north shore and the aptly named Shipwreck Beach, featuring its photogenic WWII shipwreck that has been picturesquely deteriorating since 1944. Consider it the ocean's original unfinished project. The return over Maui--the Valley Isle--offered enchanting aerial perspectives of historic Lahaina, immaculate beaches, and verdant valleys. The finale routed us through the rugged West Maui Mountains: razor-sharp ridges capable of slicing envelopes, precipitous drops prompting existential reflection, concealed waterfalls engaged in eternal hide-and-seek, and the iconic Iao Valley resembling Mother Nature's grand cathedral. In a delightful cinematic twist, parts of this very West Maui mountain region--including remote valleys and waterfalls accessible only by air--served as stand-in shots for the helicopter approach sequence in Steven Spielberg's original Jurassic Park (1993). Once in a lifetime experience! My family of four had the best time on the rainforest experience with Felix as our pilot. Our flight was absolutely breathtaking and I loved landing in the rainforest and having champagne! We got to pick passion fruit and star fruit and see some really cool plants and trees. We saw so many incredible water falls and the road to Hana. Our pilot was so knowledgeable and showed us some cool stuff like the tree from The Lion King and some locations from Jurassic Park. The route was gorgeous and thankfully we got just the right weather to see all the spots that sometimes have to be skipped due to wind or cloud cover. Wowww what an experience! If you want to get upclose and personal with the different islands this is it! I couldn't think of a better place to be on my birthday. You can see several waterfalls up close. We flew across the mountains and water. The pilot gives you an educational history while doing so. His name was Eddie. We also got to see parts of the mountains that can only be seen while flying. He stated even the hikers wouldn't see those views. The helicopter is seated for seven passengers. Where do I start!!! Can I give a 7 or 8? Bucket list item and it was definitely filled! 30 minutes into flight a sensor light came on and we had to land in a baseball field. Nothing serious, but landed due to safety protocols. Another bird was sent to the field and pilot moved us all over to the other bird and we finished our tour. We have flown with maverick before in Las Vegas so we already had an amazing experience with them in the past. We did look at the other companies but it was a no brainer for us. They have very well kept helicopters and great pilots. We got into the air fairly quickly and the check in experience was a breeze. There's a short safety briefing then you're off in the sky. The views on this whole trip were completely breathtaking. You can't even describe or picture how beautiful everything was. You just have to experience it. For how windy it is there is very little turbulence on the helicopter. Even though we didn't wear our headphones we could tell the pilot was being very informative with the other passengers. Overall this is a must do experience to truly get in all the beauty that Maui and the surrounding islands have to offer. read more

Words are inadequate in describing our tour with Maverick Helos and our fantabulous superfragulistic Capitain, Aaron Hamm. What an experience of grandeur. Are you kidding me!? I had expectations, having done this many years ago (like 13) with another Island establishment who'd done a great job, and a local tour provider in SoCal where I live. But this? Blew my mind! I think the real variable that did it here was our pilot. Aaron's personality, knowledge, humor, and confidence paired with his professional air time experience made our experience what it was. Mind blowing is an understatement. We were a group of 7. My daughter and I. And our friends who came to Maui with us and their three daughters who are ages 16, 14, and 12. Everyone had a spectacular time. This couldn't have been scripted better. Like I said, words are inadequate so I've posted a few pics and video clip. If you're thinking of doing one of these tours, I'd without a doubt go with Maverick Helo, especially if you have a party of 7. Only they are able to accommodate that many passengers on an EC 130 Eurocopter. Which by the way is such a sexy chopper. Rear rotor blade is housed into the tail and the sound it makes is just amazing. But all this aside, Aaron is without a doubt someone who would be an awesome tour guide to go with if you're lucky enough to get him. What an awesome guy. I just want to thank the entire Maverick team from the booking contact who helped me on the call, to the staff on site, to Aaron and the support staff on the deck getting us the safety check in.
