I had explained this to a few different businesses who were not able to help me the same day and who did not really reassure me that they would be able to fix it. Passionate, honest locksmiths that genuinely care about each of their customers…read more Having just moved in to our new office & warehouse, we needed some lock work done. We called a few locksmiths but none were available on short notice, but luckily these guys were. Jason (owner) is a great guy to deal with. Super friendly and knowledgeable, he's definitely not out to rip you off like a lot of trades people. One of the locks we had was a seldom-used brand. Instead of trying to source one, he creatively found a generic lock chamber that would work, saving us $$. After quickly finished the re-keying, Jason went the extra mile (at no extra charge) inspecting our facility for possible security holes. Sure enough he noticed we didn't have security collars around a couple of locks, making it easy for someone to break in. So he installed some heavy duty collars. He also pointed out different ways a thief could break into our building without being detected, which was obviously good to know. Thankfully we don't store valuable goods. When it comes to any trade, when you find good guys (or gals) you stick with them. I highly recommend calling West Coast Mobile for your locksmith needs. Are they the cheapest? No, but definitely worth every penny. If you want to be cheap on your security go ahead. You'll get burned later.

Have used is service more than one occasion and was pretty surprised not to see a review here. Their main business is all the offices and spaces in the area, since it is a central downtown location. Key cutting is more of a hobby, a way to connect with the locals, and just to help their fellow man/woman. They are able to go right to your door and start working on it, as would anyone that's obsessed with doors would. Prices are super reasonable, and I don't see why you shouldn't get atleast a few keys copied while you're there. All in all, 5 Stars for these key cutters.

We originally had a top of the line lock installed, then later changed it to a cheap deadbolt. It was a waste of time for everyone. We highly recommend you spend the money for a secure deadbolt. The cheap one kept failing in the below zero temps. It's made of cheap metal. The more expensive deadbolt won't do this. We've been highly satisfied with A-Line every time. Thank you, A-Line.

Unfortunately I had misplaced my receipt over the years and wanted to inquire for a new one. Before making the call, I had on hand the "key number" card that was given to me at the time, for I was told it was important since it determines which type of lock it is. Thinking it was enough information for a receipt, I called the number printed on the card. A woman picks up and asks me what day I had my lock done and that the key number given to me is of no use. I couldn't remember the exact date, but gave her the approximate months. I asked if she would be able to send me a copy of it through email. She responds with "We don't have email, only fax". I found it highly absurd that a business did not have an email so to make sure I was hearing things right I asked again and nope, A-Line Locksmith doesn't own an email account. Since I didn't have fax I asked if she could send me a picture of the receipt through a cellular phone, which she responds with not owning a cellphone either. Then I asked if there's an office for me to pick up the receipt, for which she responds with "Richmond" at first, then correcting herself to only being mobile and there are no locations for me to get it. Shocked at what I'm hearing, I tell her I didn't have a fax machine and (this is my favourite part) she responds with, "I have thousands of receipts to go through, if you don't have a fax machine then you're wasting my time!" I was pretty upset by then and told her to give me a call when she finds it. After hanging up I couldn't put my finger on why all of that didn't make sense... then it hit me, my FIRST communication with A-Line Locksmith was through TEXT MESSAGING. I had inquired about a lock with a text message which included a picture! I go online to find their website, and I was right, they have a cellphone and email. I text them letting them know that I had called earlier and didn't understand the lie about not having these forms of communication when it clearly states it on their site. I texted the approximate months for when I had the lock done and asked again for the receipt to be sent to me. No response. The long weekend goes by. No call back. The following week I gave them a call and left them a voicemail. No response. I called them again and of course they didn't pick up, nor called me back. Sure, A-Line Locksmith is great when they want your business but after that, you're really of no value to them. After 30+ years of business you would think that they have learned a thing or two about customer service. If you need a lock done, spend your hundreds of dollars elsewhere.
