Their rating was good on Yelp and so I have decided to give it a try. Its located in the basement, which is hard to know that it exist unless you google or is told by someone or by Yelp, of course. So this one is close by to where I am located. I am looking for a store front Mortise Cyclinder Lock. Went in and got help right away. They had the Mortise Cyclinder lock on site and they rekeyed the Cyclinder lock and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. The locksmith was infact surprised how I know how to take the lock out. I also got the locksmith to rekey a 2 sided commercial key. He was honest and told me even him himself has no guarantee that the key will work because its one of those really difficult key to rekey. I like his honesty. Honesty is good. Downtown is very honest and very professional. They are my go to lock problem people Now. Thumbs up to them.

They charged $30 for rekey. They do a really good job and the job is fast. I took my lock there to get it rekey. It was done in 5 mins in and out. That was very impressive and speedy. If I went to my usually locksmith in Vancouver, it would have been 1 to 3 hours depending on how busy their day is. Overall, everything worked great. I came home and installed everything. Mr Quick Fob has tons of reviews all over Google and he was voted #1 for something I saw on Google…read moresomewhere, I think for FOB copying. So my story begins with a car dealership scamming me. The car dealership sold me a defective car key FOB for my car at $125. It didn't have a trunk opener for my car because they said "there were none available at the time and not made anymore" (totally a lie). I met Mr Quick Fob and he programmed me a brand new different car key FOB that had a trunk opener on it and so now, I can open my trunk with just a click! The dealership lied to me, so from now on, I will only do business with Mr Quick Fob if anything goes wrong with my car key FOB from now on. His price was cheaper than the car dealership too. So I paid less for a much better FOB with more options on it (lock, unlock, panic button and trunk opener) which a car dealership said didn't exist for my car. One thing I noticed was that Mr Quick Fob's car has tons of key machinery stuff in it. He was able to make a new key for me on site and have the car key fob made and programmed right on the spot. I highly advise him if you need a car key FOB. Skip the car dealership and check out Mr Quick Fob first. I'll post photos later of the junk FOB the dealership sold me and the nicer one Mr Quick Fob sold me for a lesser price.

I got the mailbox key cut for $5.60 including taxes. Luckily, I had it cut on the weekend too. The owner was super friendly. I called and she asked what key I wanted to cut. I told her its a mailbox key. She made a trip to her store to cut it. Thank-you to her. She said it wasn't a hassle because she had a couple other appointments lined up after me. I am happy I finally got the key cut. She said she can't open her shop on regular hours because her shop is small and due to Covid, it was really difficult to operate. I can understand why. She said she can only have 1 person in her store at a time. I am happy that the key works great.
