We have used Safe & Secure locksmith for well over a decade and they are excellent!!! We have had everything from getting special safety keys to rekeying old locks, changing out deadbolts and locking knobs to getting keys copied. With multiple generations who have lived in our home, the key situation was a mess. I reached out to Safe & Secure and had someone come out to assess and then do the work right away. The key stuck in the deadbolt lock and would not come out. I removed the lock from the door, but I could not figure out why the key was jammed. It was Family Day, so I took it to the Coe Lumber on Broadway and they said they did not have the special tools to repair it. They advised me to buy a new lock. I bought and installed the new lock, but it would be better if the key for the deadbolt matched the key for the handle. So, I took the jammed lock to Safe & Secure Locksmith when they opened up. In 2 minutes he had the key out using a regular screwdriver! He knew exactly what he was doing and the lock was working fine again. The charge was less than the new lock I bought. My experience was and is unpleasant. They cut me a new key and fob and it took a month before the immobilizer started taking 10 minutes to release my key. I couldn't find my receipt but when I finally found it I called them and had one of their techs call me and tell me to take it to the dealer and that it was no longer under any warranty. They obviously take no responsibility for their work. I won't even get into how they just showed up when I used their website to request a quote from them. Unfortunately I just assumed they were the company that I did give the go ahead to do the repair, until that company showed up when they were almost done. Any company that says it will not stand by their work and whose warranty is only a couple of months long is a joke and not worth giving your business to. read more

A very pleasant experience with this locksmith. My door lock broke, literally, and needed a replacement ASAP. Greeted at the store professionally, and was promised a locksmith to my house between a certain. Lior promptly showed up within that time frame. He patiently took out my door lock, inspected the damage, and continued to remove the entire piece from the door. He started playing with the parts and started assembling it piece by piece. I half jokingly asked if he was trying to salvage the old lock - which may well be as old as my old timer house - and he simply said "yes". He asked for my key to the lock and said he'll go to his van and work on it. Sure enough, with 5-10 minutes, he returned and started putting the lock back into the door. And there you have it! A working lock! He even spent time grinding the door plate to smoothen the latch. In the end, I have a lock that is working like new, complete with a smooth door closing. I was ready to buy a new lock, and even drill a larger hole to fit the newer locks, but he saved ourselves much work. One less piece of metal to the garbage dump! Good CSR practice! Great service, very fast. Angel Daproza was the guy who came out to my house, for two different service calls in the past month or so. First to fix my front door lock which had broken, and then to replace a broken door lock/latch on my bathroom. In both cases, he was friendly and efficient, and did a super good job. In the case of the door latch, he was in and out of here in about 12 minutes! I would definitely use this company yet again if I needed the service, and hope I'd get Angel again. read more

The employee who installed the locks did a solid job. Which is good, because they where not cheap! But a few weeks later when a key broke in my lock I was told it would cost lots for them to come back out. I just spent $750 dollars and they want another $100 to pull out a broken key. This is a job that they have a tool for that would take them 2 minutes. No loyalty & no love. Im not impressed. read more

Normally don't write reviews, but this is a great shop! You can get keys duplicated around 3 bucks each (they dont do some kinds of bicycle keys though) and the service is fast, efficient and the keys worked out like 95% perfect. Nice staff too! One of the staff even changed the metal ring on my old set of keys to a more sturdy one! I guess this is my go-to place from now on! read more

I hate to leave a negative review, and especially so since small businesses are an endangered species in Vancouver. But I feel I was taken advantage of by this company at a very vulnerable time in my life when I decided to change the locks on my house. Divorce stuff. The owner seemed interested and compassionate and I was very distressed at the time, so I shared the fact that I was locking out my former spouse. I was charged 'an arm and a farm'. Scam alert. He quotes $65 call out fee, plus cost of parts AND then sneaks in a charge of $80 p/hr on top once the work is done. I negotiated, wrote everything down and confirmed the call out cost includes the work if its done within the first hour. He was there for 10 min total. When I called him back he starts arguing and telling me how special his company is. He said he would email me the details but he does not have my email address. Then he then tells me there are customers in his office and cant speak with me. Avoid this company. He may have jacked me but I hope this save you! read more

These guys are great, I have never wrote a review but had to this time. I live in a condo complex and am the strata president. On a Saturday evening our front door lock to the building broke, nobody could get in. I called these guys and within 1/2 hour they were here and fixed the lock. I don't usually write reviews for businesses, but in this case, the exemplary level of service I received has compelled me to write this one. I called Safe and Secure in a panic near the end of the day yesterday because the lock on one of the doors of my home was broken, and another local locksmith who showed up at 4pm (after being called at 9am) was unable to repair it. It was past 5pm when I called, and even though the business had closed for the day, Angel answered the call. After listening to me describe the problem, he said the person who specialized in the type of door/lock I needed repaired had gone home for the day, but he would stop by as soon as he could (I live in East Van and he was on the West Side) and see what he could do. He arrived within an hour, and after diligently working on the door for an hour, was able to pull out the damaged and unfixable locking cylinder, replace it with one that worked, and rekey the replacement cylinder to my existing keys. I was relieved I was able to have a door that locked before going to bed, thanks to Angel at Safe and Secure! read more
