Their rating was good on Yelp and so I have decided to give it a try. Its located in the basement, which is hard to know that it exist unless you google or is told by someone or by Yelp, of course. So this one is close by to where I am located. I am looking for a store front Mortise Cyclinder Lock. Went in and got help right away. They had the Mortise Cyclinder lock on site and they rekeyed the Cyclinder lock and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. The locksmith was infact surprised how I know how to take the lock out. I also got the locksmith to rekey a 2 sided commercial key. He was honest and told me even him himself has no guarantee that the key will work because its one of those really difficult key to rekey. I like his honesty. Honesty is good. Downtown is very honest and very professional. They are my go to lock problem people Now. Thumbs up to them.

He removed the old jammed deadbolt and provided options of repairing or replacing and quoted very reasonable prices on each. We decided on a new lock which he rekeyed so we didn't have to change keys. He didn't leave until locked worked perfectly. Total bill was appropriate and exactly as he quoted. Amazing service. The car dealership sold me a defective car key FOB for my car at $125. It didn't have a trunk opener for my car because they said "there were none available at the time and not made anymore" (totally a lie). I met Mr Quick Fob and he programmed me a brand new different car key FOB that had a trunk opener on it and so now, I can open my trunk with just a click! The dealership lied to me, so from now on, I will only do business with Mr Quick Fob if anything goes wrong with my car key FOB from now on. His price was cheaper than the car dealership too. So I paid less for a much better FOB with more options on it (lock, unlock, panic button and trunk opener) which a car dealership said didn't exist for my car. One thing I noticed was that Mr Quick Fob's car has tons of key machinery stuff in it. He was able to make a new key for me on site and have the car key fob made and programmed right on the spot. I highly advise him if you need a car key FOB. Skip the car dealership and check out Mr Quick Fob first. I called the phone in Google map, a lady answering the phone saying their office is in Vancouver. They waste my time locating them in Surrey. Now seeing all these BAD comments about them. Luckily I don't need to get another insult from this shady company. I don't think they have a physical location, just whole bunch of YO-YO, waiting for another sucker to get caught by them. It is hard to find a locksmith STORE, with physical location you can bring your own lock to get a key made.

They said they could do it and had the right fob, but would take an hour or more and needed the car for a bit. Called the morning of the day I had time, brought the car to them and after they looked at my fob for 10 min decided they didn't have the correct fob. I asked if they could order it. They said sure, but then decided it might not work given my car is 5 years old.??? So, that's why I came with the fob prior, advised of the make, model and year.... After the initial request for quote, I needed emergency repairs done at my place so I delayed the work multiple times as the repairs dragged on. Throughout this time, Carlos was as responsive as when I first contacted him. When I was finally able to have the locks changed, Carlos was ready and showed up for the appointment on time. He paid attention to detail, checked my lock thoroughly to see if it can be repaired before replacing it.
