This is a shady company advertising they have a location in Surrey. There is a sign on the front gate in a shady building in King George Blvd with all kinds of junkies around. I called the phone in Google map, a lady answering the phone saying their office is in Vancouver. They waste my time locating them in Surrey. Now seeing all these BAD comments about them. Luckily I don't need to get another insult from this shady company. I don't think they have a physical location, just whole bunch of YO-YO, waiting for another sucker to get caught by them. Timely, professional, very reasonable...Helped my friend who had a stroke, lost his only car key and is in the hospital get a new key made and the owner of the company delivered it within a couple hours once we had the right key code from dealership. The first service requested was for dysfunctional key. They arrived at my house promptly and replaced it. 2 mos later I went to insert the key in ignation and saw insertion part of key was missing. Assuming a broken faulty key, contacted. Told I must have broken the key myself through force which is not possible. To come out and assess then fix would be $2000. I thought the missing part must still be in the ignition but couldn't see it. Had to call BCAA to get me home. The tech told me there was nothing in the ignition. I looked at the key head again and it did not look broken. The key they made has 2 pieces inserted into each other, so had come apart. They must have known this was the problem but were not honest. 11:30 at night. Home by 2am. Be aware these keys are cheaply made, come apart, not reliable. Get a proper one from a dealer. $500 PER HOUR! I called Fast LockSmith because my sister's patio door lock was stuck. They sent out a tech and was able to free the lock without replacing any parts. The tech was on-site for less than an hour. Despite the advertised $95 service call fee on their website, they charged her $150 and an additional $350 for labour, so $500 in total. When I called to inquire about the charges, they weren't able to give a reason why they overcharged on the service call. As for the $350 labour charge, they said it was because a replacement lock would have been $1000! So I guess they did her a favour by fixing something that didn't need to be replaced? They are clearly taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. I suggest you stay clear of this shady locksmith company and their subcontractors. read more

I called in a panic as I had locked my keys to my apartment (along with the backup keys!! Go figure!) inside and needed access. The dispatcher was efficient, friendly and let me know what to expect. The lock smith, Ivan called me when he was on his way again let me know what to expect. Depending on the lock, he would use his tools, another set of tools, or have to drill. Thankfully I hadn't locked the deadbolt (because duh, I had locked my keys inside!!) so no drilling was necessary. I had cancelled my Friday appointment with Eugene (Fast Locksmith) after seeing many seedy reviews on their google listing. Then I scheduled with another company (Pop-A-Lock) on Friday to do my lock change. A man called me Friday morning, alerting me of his early arrival to change my lock. And when he had arrived, I asked if he was Troy from Pop-A-Lock, to which he said "yes". This man was actually from Fast Locksmith, and did nothing to correct me when I was wrongly calling him Troy and believing he was from Pop-A-Lock during the whole service. In small talk during the service, I even mentioned to him about how I had cancelled on Fast Locksmith after seeing their bad reviews and felt that their customer service attitude was extremely unprofessional - he kept silent the whole time, and now I know why. After that man from Fast Locksmith left, Troy (Pop-A-Lock) called me to alert me of his arrival. I was extremely angry and in shock realizing what had happened. That man from Fast Locksmith had committed fraud when he failed to correctly identify himself and continued to carry out the service when he knew that I believed he was somebody else from another company. At the time of payment, I chose an emailed receipt, and only later saw that the invoice showed "Fast Locksmith". I have filed a complaint against Fast Locksmith with the BBB as this is not acceptable business conduct. Troy from Pop-A-Lock will be filing a complaint as well due to this not only being the first time he has experienced this with Fast Locksmith. I still don't know who the man was that came to change the lock, only that he is from Fast Locksmith and showed up to perform a service after I had CANCELLED my appointment with them. read more

Last week, I purchased a key smart to hold all of my keys. Unfortunately, the screw on the key smart was bigger than my keys, so I couldn't assemble all of my keys into the key smart. I went to this store in Renfrew st. and cut 4x new keys that could fit my key smart. For 4x new keys, he only took few minutes to complete them. He also offered me some tools to complete the assembly of my key smart. Now, my new keys with the key smart is better than my original keys. Very good services. Do NOT use this company. Their prices are exorbitant. Well over $600 for a few locks and door knobs changed. The keys given to me can not be re-cut and the locksmith point blank refused to fix the lock. There was no apology or effort on his part to fix the problem. So I have only 2 keys which if lost can not be re-cut! The owner actually hung up the phone on me. I am VERY surprised that they have good ratings based on the poor service and arrogant attitude displayed. Also they had a "special" offer of $29 for a service call but it was apparently a "mistake" online ( it has still not been rectified) and the initial charge was much more. This has cost me much time and money going to several different reliable key cutters. At this point I will have to call in a different company to fix this problem. read more

We just had the most appalling experience with this company. Their technician Eugene came to our office to fix our door. When he was finished, he asked to be paid. Our office assistant informed him to wait 5 mins while our Accounting finished lunch. He then stormed into the lunch room, sat across the desk from our accountant and demanded payment. When our Accountant said"okay a cheque" he said "no, cash or card" Accountant then said "okay ill get the card for you in a sec". He then got up from the table, and went into our accountants office and started to look for a credit card on his desk! I called the owner and explained to him what happened. His initial response was "sooo.... is there something wrong with wanting to get paid?" Called again at 1:30. Said they would talk to the locksmith and call me back. By 1:40 was so frustrated by waiting around all day that I cancelled the service. I purchased a generic key fob for my Toyota for a secondary key and went to their new location on Renfrew St to have it cut and programmed. While not able to program it to unlock, lock the car and open the trunk with the fob due to the fact it was not a Toyota key fob, they cut it and programmed it to start the car. These guys were 2.5 hours late, they charged me 2 hours of work for less than 1 hour of work for letting me into my apartment and for changing keys/lock to my mailbox source.
