Yummy Greek creations like spanakopita, Greek potatoes and various lamb dishes. The proprietor is friendly and cheerful and laughs with me as I always get the spanakopita. I ordered the gyro (good but I've had better) with Greek potatoes (too greasy); my dad had the shrimp skewer with fries (he really liked it); my sister had spanikopita (dry). They shared the baklava and enjoyed it. My two biggest complaints were: 1) the soda fountain/drink station was out of order (or maybe permanently shut down) so you had to buy bottled water. 2) All food - even when dining in - is served in Styrofoam to-go boxes with to-go silverware. Very nice and cozy mom and Pop shop with great food. You can tell the owners love their community love people they have pictures of vacations all throughout the restaurant. The gyro was great, I loved the meat although I wasn't the biggest fan of their tzatziki sauce. As someone who isn't a big fan of goat cheese and olives; the most critical part of a greek salad there's is great. The memorable moment was when I asked if the soup was good. It didn't occur to me that the woman taking our order was also one of the chefs!! Her response was, "Of course it is good, I make it!!" Soup isn't something you would typically order at a Kebab shop, but I wanted something light and it was perfect. Nice, warm, full of flavor, hand shredded chicken, slight tang of lemon but not overpowering, great balance of carrot, celery, rice and chicken. I would go back just for the soup alone; it was like coming home to my grandma's soup! Kids split the chicken kebab platter; perfectly cooked, juicy, great flavor. Hubs had a Greek salad with steak, he scarfed it down saying "it's good". Our only regret is not coming here sooner. Setting is quaint, I think most people take food to go. This place is terrific! Forewarning: I'm not really a fan of Greek food, so I'm not necessarily the best guy to make this review. That said, I have several friends who took me to this place, and _they_ are Greek connoisseurs (one of these friends is a frequent visitor to NYC), and they think the world of this place. Let's start with the food: delicious, fresh, and homemade. Most of the food, including the feta cheese, the baklava, the dressing, is homemade and fresh. All of our food was delicious; the meat lovers' platter, the Greek burger, the gyro platter, all were great. Next, the atmosphere: it's very nice. Lots of Greek pictures up; the place, including the bathrooms, is neat; lots of white and light blue to give the place an airy atmosphere; they're playing Greek music. Finally, the people and service: excellent. It's a fast casual place; you order at a counter, wait for the food to be brought to you, and bus your own table; refills are available at a fountain. However, the lady swung by our table several times to see if we needed anything, to clear out our dirty dishes (all paper plates and styrofoam), and to refill our drinks. She was very kind and courteous while taking our orders and made sure to find the best deal for what we wanted to order. The food is more expensive than what you'd find at a quick-serve place (depending on what you get, figure on $10-$18 a head, especially if you get an appetizer or a drink), but you get what you pay for and then some. Big thumbs up. Good place. We need more people to visit and enjoy so it sticks around a long time! read more

Wow. Maybe I just ordered uber eats from here on an off day but I literally threw everything out. The gyro pita sandwich had zero flavor and the meat was 100% room temperature. The potatoes,which were just a pinch past being raw, also were lacking any seasonings except what appeared to be a few flakes of parsley. The dolmades were so soggy I attempted to eat one with a spoon because they were completely apart when I opened the tin foil. I doubt I'll make the drive to this place to try it in person it was that horrible but for sure wont order it again even for delivery. I have to agree with the other reviewer that I suspect these glowing reviews are bullsh.. and just fluff. read more

This visit suffered from both high expectations (from other reviews) & limited options right now. We had planned to eat in, not realizing how small the place is. They do have some tables, but most folks do take out, especially since their fountain-drink area is blocked off & they only offer bottled drinks now including bottled tea (blech - we got 2 bottled waters instead for $3 or $4). We ended up eating in the car as there were 4 or 5 people standing around the tables waiting. Be ready for a wait - limited staff & food fixed fresh does take a while. We ordered 2 gyro combos with Greek potatoes, but they were out of the potatoes around 6 pm. The fries did come out nice & hot & plenty, but broad & thick - not my fave. The gyro was hot & fresh & "okay." If you don't like cucumber chunks, order without. Meat also more chunky than strips. The Ziki sauce was adequate. If we lived closer, we'd try the kebabs "next time." Again, it was okay, but if we have to do takeout anyway, our Greek-owned Gondolier Pizza on Mars Hill is 10-min. closer to us & serves a very good gyro combo. read more
