My wife and I were going to hit Thai Basil today and decided to give Mr K. a try... and boy were we happy we did. Yes, there is a review below that states this restaurant doesnt do everything like being on a greek island... Well, this is Acworth and the nuances are actually pleasant. The lady behind the counter is what I would want my Greek Grandmother (Yiayia) to be like (if I was Greek); friendly, funny, and cares how you are. We both had Gyros. One platter and one wrap. They both were awesome. The salad dressing is amazing. So glad to have a quick-food Greek place in the area. We will be back. Looking forward to trying all of their food. read more

I wanted to like this place but I would be lying if I said that I would definitely go back. I ordered the falafel pita special and they burnt them. I dont think that they make their own pita bread. If you're looking for authentic Greek food this is your place. The establishment itself is not much to be desired, however it's clean and the workers are very friendly. I ordered the gyro platter and my husband had the chicken kebab platter. The French fries were so delish! They are like steak fries but cut potato chip thin. The food is made to order and was very flavorful. It wasn't the best tzatziki I've had as it had a little more dill herb than I would expected. The platter is large and is super filling. The owner comes in often to greet customers which is a nice touch to ensure you enjoyed your experience. Would definitely eat here again! read more

Needed something other than a burger and wanted to try Mr K. Has the original gyro. Yes , I know, it's called Mr Kebab and I have the gyro. So how was it? Excellent. First, love to support local businesses. Everything is cooked to order so I waited 10 minutes for the fries. They were thinly sliced and well seasoned. The gyro was full of fresh vegetables , tzatziki and fresh sliced meat. Overall, a great meal. Looking forward to my next visit. The kebab will definitely be on the menu. read more

Excellent in three main ways: 1) Value- we got the chicken skewer meal and the burger with fries for $25ish. I still have leftovers from my chicken meal and my man had all his burger and fries and was definitely satisfied. 2) Freshness- everything we ate was home-made, like.. not ever frozen or from a bag. The lettuce for my salad and the potatoes/fries etc. were all cut and prepared TODAY.. it was awesome. 3) Flavor- the Tzatziki sauce was minty- everything tasted great. Have lived in the area for 10 years and have had dined at our share of local Greek/Mediterranean restaurants. Somehow we missed Mr. Kabob until tonight when I was craving Greek and happened upon their Yelp reviews. After dining there this evening with my husband and son, have nothing but wonderful things to say! The food was delicious and plentiful. The owner's wife was a true delight to talk to and she took great care of us. We enjoyed the hummus and pita as well as the Gyro wrap, Gyro kabob platter and my son had the steak/chicken kebab platter. The Greek potatoes were delicious and seasoned well and the meat was marinated to perfection. We also enjoyed the Greek salad but especially the homemade Greek dressing. We finished our meal off with the baklava cheesecake which was outstanding and homemade. We are so thankful to find this restaurant and cant wait to return! read more

My husband had me pick up dinner here and it was some of the best food I've had in a long time!! Everything is made-to-order and fresh. We got the beef and lamb gyro pita, and a combo kebabs that came with lamb, chicken, steak and sausage. The Greek potatoes were excellent. Fantastic place! Finally a good place to eat next to Thai Basil! The food was super fresh and tasty. I requested feta to be added to my gyro wrap and it was plentiful and spread evenly throughout. Usually when I request feta I get a block or two shoved in the wrap on one side of the sandwich. Not here! They actually took the time to crumble it for an even burst of flavor. This is one of those amazing hole in the wall places. Their food is cooked fresh to order and their portions are quite generous. The owners run the business and you can see the husband in the kitchen and the wife at the register. I love their Greek salad and I usually order lamb and beef gyro meat on top, it comes with warm pita bread and it's big enough for me. My husband usually order the kebab meal that comes with 3 or 4 different types of kebabs. Be sure to order the Baclava cheesecake: you won't be disappointed! :) read more

Wow! Delicious!! First time in, clean friendly place and staff. We got two gyro plates and I had the Greek French fries and my husband got the Greek potato wedges. My fries were different than expected. Then we're thinly sliced- but not "shoestring" or "chips" and they were lightly seasoned and SO GOOD! My husband loved his potato wedges seasoned with lemon and oregano. We go Baklava to take home for later... I ate a piece of mine, my husband ate his whole piece! I am so lucky to have stumbled upon this place because it is next to my Kroger! When you walk in, you are greeted by owner, who is basically the Greek mom or grandma you've always wanted. She makes everything herself, down to the sauces and soups, and she will tell you all about each item in great detail. I take food very seriously, particularly Mediterranean food, so I don't give out 5 stars frivolously. So far, my husband and I have been here twice and we've enjoyed everything we ate. Very impressed after my first visit here for lunch today. I ordered a chicken kabob platter and my fiancé ordered dolmades and a side salad.
