My favorite Chinese food in Norman. The food is very good, and they give you quite a bit. Specifically the steamed dumplings and the Thai tea are always delicious. Not the cheapest, but I find it worth it. The people get you in and out fairly quick, so if you're looking to have much interaction with anyone, this isn't your place, but I actually find it quite nice and convenient. (I also understand that many of the people may not speak English as a first language, which I'm sure has to do with it.) All in all, I highly recommend. read more

They tipped themselves after I dropped cash in the tip jar. The guy at the counter made eye contact as I dropped it in. When we called to ask them about the incorrect amount and inflated tip, the manager argued, denied it, and basically called me a liar. To be completely honest... This place is incredibly underrated. Very friendly and great service! Delicious and fresh Chinese food! This is as close to authentic Chinese food in Norman as you're going to get. Is it more pricey than your typical Chinese to-go spot? Yes, but you're paying extra for quality and flavor here and it's not exactly a to-go restaurant. When I think of laid back Friday nights, I think of take outs from here. Their crispy chicken with the house garlic sauce is what they're popular for and its amazing. It's the type of dish I wanna eat again as soon as it's gone! The fried rice is always well flavored and tastes fresh! My other favorite is the salt and pepper spare ribs...it is simply heavenly and indulgent at the same time. I ordered pickup from Mr. Hui's on 07/08/2023. I ordered four main dishes, along with other items. Unfortunately, none of the four main dishes included any of the rice that the meals should have included. Since I live 20 minutes from the restaurant I called and requested the rice to be delivered or to provide a partial refund. The restuarant refused and told me I could come back to pick up the rice, they could give me a credit for the next time I place an order or I'd need to bring everything back in for a refund. To me, these options were not acceptable. If I'd driven back to the restaurant to pick up the rice, it would cost me additional gas mileage and all of my other food would have been cold by the time I returned. The credit on a future order is not a guarantee for the next time I might order, who's to say the restuarant would honor that credit. And returning everything for a refund would then cost me the additional gas along with the original gas and I still wouldn't have dinner. Time to find a new restaurant - who has recommendations? read more

THEY ARE AMAZING. -For entrees, we've tried several and they're all different, but so good: Chicken Chow Fun (thick, ribbon noodles), Crazy Spicy Chicken (it's a unique tingly pepper spice, lightly battered chicken bites), Crispy Chicken w/ Garlic Sauce (bone-in, doused in delicious soy, garlic sauce). -The surprising all-star side dish was the Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce. The must haves: * Hot and sour soup (if you order it spicy, it actually comes SPICY!) * Steamed buns (only place I've found that has soup dumplings in Norman and omggggg) * Orange chicken!! Usually not a huge fan because it's usually too sweet and fake tasting, however theirs has actual orange zest and it is just SO GOOD * Shredded pork with pickled cabbage noodle soup * Combo chow fun!!
