    Orange chicken combo
    M G.

I stopped in by myself around 1:30 on a Saturday to eat and kill time waiting to pick up kids from an event. Wait was less than 10 min for food. The food was edible but not very good. I had the orange chicken combo. The egg roll was good but the rice was hard, chewy/stiff. The chicken batter was hard and the meat was tough. Definitely need a toothpick. The orange sauce on the chicken was the best part, it was good and spiced just right. Service was okay but there wasn't a place to sit and eat inside so had to get to go. (There was a table for two but looked like it may have had something sitting on it that made me think it wasn't for guests?) Food was served very hot which is great but could not eat in my car because the plate burned my legs. Had to go to a nearby McDonalds to eat.

Dark meat with bones and cartilage that's not even edible

Would give a zero if I could! DO NOT EAT HERE! They are rude and I told her white meat and she gave me dark anyway. I said white meat twice! The meat isn't even edible bc it's bones and cartilage

This was definitely the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp, the cheese wontons, and the hot and sour soup. The one start I gave was for the hot and sour soup because it was actually pretty good. The shrimp was wildly over-battered and fried to where I would take a bite and be left with giant lumps of fried batter leftover after eating the actual shrimp. The wontons were the same way. There was barely any filling for the amount of leftover fried wonton wrapping, and the wrapping was extremely chewy and almost hard. This food did not taste fresh and it was overall oily and poorly made. I was very disappointed considering the reviews this place has. I added a picture of the amount of leftover chewy, fried pieces that I couldn't eat.

I'm not surprised there was only one other person here at noon on a Sunday. The teen behind the counter barely said anything. No hello, no smile, no thank you. Maybe he was just having a bad day. BF didn't really want to go, but I wanted to give them a chance. They couldn't be that bad... there was only one review to give them any credit! Bf and I made our first trip in early January, there was still a lot of snow on the ground. We were both so cold in the dining room that we left our coats on while we waited for our food. We had ordered in, so we were waiting at our table. After a reasonable amount of time, the guy came out of the kitchen, said, "here you go", and walked back into the kitchen. By this time, another person had come in to the building and was waiting around for the guy to come from the front, so we didn't know if it was hers or ours. The food was in to-go "attire" - plastic bag with food containers in it, so we figured it was hers. After a minute or so, the guy came back out and looked at the girl until she piped up that she wanted to order to-go. We knew then that the food that had been sitting there was ours. BF got up and confirmed with the guy before bringing it back. They didn't have any napkins, so we tried to keep our saucy food off our faces. He got the General Tso's Chicken was great! I had their Pepper Steak and thought it was equally good. On another trip, their Hot & Sour was good along with their lo mein. A couple had came in during the middle of our meal. They were greeted, no smile still, but asked if it was for here or to go. When their food was ready, he brought it to them on a tray. They do take credit cards, but you have to spend a certain amount - $10 if I remember correctly. Honestly, they have some of the best Chinese food (I've been to quite a few around OKC that just didn't quite make the cut.). I'll go ahead and put up with the guy who doesn't want to have anything to do with me cooking my food so I can eat it.

Lo mein, fried rice, egg roll

The most delicious boneless spare ribs I've EVER had! I've lived in CT, TX, GA and FL and finding good chinese is hard....but I was super impressed with China One! The lo mein was fresh, hot and seasoned just right. The crab rangoons/wontons weren't my favorite, the filling was good but it seemed they were a little oily. All-in-all, I would 100% come back!

i'll say it like this i cannot tell you if everything is bad or not based on just eating the veggie lo mein , but the lo mein was okay not my fav but okay! i like the veggies they used! Mushrooms, snow peas, celery, just to name some. the noodles itself was bigger then the norm to me, it kinda reminded me of spaghetti or something. the prices are average, restrooms are clean, dine in or take out, no drive thru , nice guy at the counter, there was 4 people ordering and it took about 10 mins to get my 2 orders of lo mein noodles , ill check it out again in the future.....

Fried rice didn't meet my expectations. No taste/flavor at all. I ended up taking home and had to make some adjustments to make it more enjoyable.

This place is not quality Chinese food, it is low end. It should be cheaper. Never will I go again.unless I'm homeless.

Great cheap Chinese food. The 3.5 star rating is total BS. This place is legit Chinese take-out.

They've got the roast meats, a large Chinese dinner menu, an equally large Vietnamese dinner menu, catering for events, and my favorite: their dimsum menu. For their regular menu, my family and I will frequently order to go and occasionally dine in. We often order off the Chinese menu when we're going family style (flat noodles, salt & pepper squid, egg noodle lo mein, and scallion chicken are some of our favorites), and we will order from the Viet menu for individual portions (we love their egg noodle soups, pho, broken rice platters). One of my favorite dishes is their lotus root summer salad, and I've not found another place that beats that dish here! I've found their service with regular dining in to be hit or miss. Most of the time we get great service but a few times here and there we have a hard time finding our server. Moving on to my favorite part of Golden Phoenix- the dimsum. They serve dimsum primarily on the weekends from opening to 3pm (I think), and they have really brought up the OKC dimsum game with their large and delicious dimsum menu! Their dumplings like the hargow and shiumai are large, filling, and delicious! I particularly love the fried shrimp and chives dumpling and their shrimp egg rolls. The service during dimsum is fantastic because they've got people pushing around carts and carrying plates of food out to you. Once you're ready for dessert, make sure you grab some egg tarts for the table!
