Good food, quick and big gyros. I wouldn't say exactly like Greece, but good none the less.

I am bumping them up a star because I think they have promise and I like supporting small businesses that appear to be trying. The lentil soup with lemon has a slight kick and is very good and basic on a cold evening. I was not a fan of the spinach pie. I also did not like that the photo on the Grubhub menu shows multiple triangular pies, but you get just one. That was misleading. The grilled chicken shawarma drizzled with tzatziki sauce was good. Not a wower, but good. I did not like the rice. I did like the Greek salad. It had a decent amount of tomatoes, cucumbers, and a dusting of feta. The best part was the Kalamata olives! So overall, somewhere between OK (3 stars) and good (4 stars). Because I will go back to try other dishes, I gave 4 stars. If I gave 3, then I'd be a hypocrite for going back for more. read more

The service was absolutely terrible today. I've been coming to this location for over 3 years. Today, me and my wife got there at 7:30pm the young lady at the counter didn't bring the food until 7:58pm and she said that I couldn't eat there because they have to leave. Within all of these 28 minutes 4 other families came and they explicitly say they CAN'T eat the location because they have to close. Instead, they should have said that they are only taking to go orders politely. She was very rude and I told the lady that is not the way to treat customers and started arguing with me. She kicked the second family that was there with us and they has to finish their food on the hood of their car. Oh, by they way we told her no onion on the order, my wife is allergic, and guess what..... a bunch on onion in the gyro. My wife couldn't eat the gyro....... great job at losing customers! I'm glad we decided to try out Mr Gyros because they did not disappoint. The service was fast and kind. We decided to dine in and we enjoyed the decor of the place. You can tell they put a lot of thought into their stuff. It may be a lot of waste, but I like that the utensils are individually wrapped and self serving. This way you only get what you need and you don't have to worry about other people's germs on your cutlery. We had the hummus and gyros. Both were so good! The hummus came with a large portion of hummus and some warm naan bread. We tried the chicken. The gyros tasted fresh and there was a good balance of meat and veggies. I thought it had too much sauce, but I don't like a lot of sauce. I just wish I had a second stomach so I could have finished everything. read more

Whenever I visit my mother who lives in Wilsonville, I try to time it so that I can grab lunch or dinner from Mr. Gyros. I love their spicy lamb gyro! It's full of flavor and stuffed with meat, making it a good value. The food is brought out quickly and is delicious! Their hummus is not the traditional recipe I'm used to and is by far the best hummus in the Portland metro area. The baba ganush is alright, better than most but not the best. (20 years ago there used to be a place called Blue Tangerine that ruined me for all other baba ganush because theirs was so good.) The restaurant is in a strip mall and rather basic on this inside with fun lamps on the table, but nothing spectacular. One day I stopped in on a 100+ degree day and their air con wasn't keeping up and it was a sauna in there, it actually felt refreshing to step outside into the triple digit heat. I don't know how they were working! I also recommend the garlic fries and the baklava. They have a refrigerator case with specialty drinks that are fun to try. I don't have any photos because I'm always too eager to dig into my food. Which is probably the highest recommendation I can give. read more

While the food tasted good, a lot of it was not made there. Pita bread was straight out of a package I could buy at the grocery store and the Chicken Shawarma had chicken strips that were from a bag of frozen strips from the store. I'm not one to generally leave bad reviews, but I want to add this here as a piece of feedback for the new owners. Between four different dishes, we found the flavor to be terribly weaker and more bland than anything we had had when it was Gyro House. In particular the chicken was nothing like what you would expect from Greek food. I would recommend the owners spend some time at some of the other local Greek places in the Portland area to really get a sense of what shawarma and kabob is supposed to taste like. Also, just adding olives to iceberg lettuce doesn't make a Greek salad. Good luck, I hope it improves. More local food options is always a good thing. read more

This place compares favorably with our stomping grounds -- Pegasus in Greektown, Detroit, MI. We both had the lamb gyro. Packed with flavor and it is HUGE! Skip the fries et al sides -- one of these will fill you up. Loads of lamb, fresh pita, and delicious tzatziki. We opted for no "spicy garlic sauce" and no pickles. This is my first visit (take-out) since business at this location changed to Mr. Gyros from the former Wilsonville location of Mediterranean Gyro House. Ordered online: got a lamb gyro with tzatziki sauce instead of the garlic sauce. Added shredded feta cheese, cucumbers, and light on the tzatziki sauce. Side ordered reg fries and diet Coke. Great pita. Great lamb. Fresh lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers. Huge portion. Regular round cut french fries we're nice complement to the gyro. Remember to grab an extra paper napkin. I had 'tzatziki face' and fingers by the time I finished lunch. I'll be back! read more

We just received an order from Uber eats and it was amazing! We ordered the family meal half chicken and half lamb!! Very generous for 5 people! Garlic sauce amazing! The chicken Shawarma had excellent flavor and the basamati was exceptional!! My guy said the lamb was great!!! We got Lamb Gyro, Veggie Wrap, and Gyro Fries. The portion was huge and the food tasted fresh and yummy. The owner was super friendly and helped us decide what to get. I especially enjoyed the Gyro Fries; it was crispy and came with spicy garlic sauce and grated feta on the side.10/10 recommend if you're craving some gyros :) read more

I was there with my family, the girl in the counter told them at first that they couldn't eat inside because they were about to close, which he responded "will finish quickly". Remember people, he was WARNED that they were about to close. Finally when food came, the lady told them they had to leave because they were about to close. My dude got SO OFFENDED. After being taken to new ownership post-Covid, I thought I'd give them a try, as I really liked the old owners and recipes, and the menu appeared not to have changed. So on a weekend evening I ordered our family-regular meal: a side greek salad, small chicken gyro with spicy feta, the Iskender plate with spicy garlic, and hummus with extra pita. The verdict.. not good. 1. The greek salad had rancid oil; the tomatoes were soft; the feta highly questionable. We ultimately considered it inedible. 2. The lamb on the Iskender plate was dried to the point of crumbling to dust (literally). I had no visible tomato sauce whatsoever, and what little it did appear to have was greasy. It was near-inedible, but I powered through after drowning it with enough garlic sauce. 3. The chicken in the chicken gyro was vacant of any flavor. Were it not for the spicy garlic sauce, there would have been no flavor whatsoever. It also had no pickles, though the menu says it comes with them. 4. The humus was the second-best part of the meal, but that is no ringing endorsement, considering the problems listed above. It was at-best marginal, overly bland compared to the prior owner's version. The only holdover from the prior recipe was the texture; it is still buttery and smooth. 5. The pita bread was good. You do the math. I'll be returning to night-out traveling to the Beaverton location of the original Gyro House when I want Mediterranean food. Yes, it is a 30-40 minute drive each way from Wilsonville, but worth every second. The food is hands-down better than this place in Wilsonville now. I'll happily spend 1-1.5 hours in traffic to get quality over a 10-minute round trip to food of such low quality from this place. I'm not sure what the owner is trying to accomplish, but if alienating prior customers is their goal they're well on their way. We won't be returning, and that's a shame, because we waited for years for Gyro House to come to Wilsonville, and sorely miss it now that's it is gone. read more

Just got done eating here and I can say I won't be back. This place used to be the Gyro House and we used to go there all the time. Not sure what happened, but this replacement is lacking in every single way. The lamb gyro was tough, dry, and the flavor was "off". The Greek salad was wilted and old, the lettuce was turning brown and tomatoes were mushy. The dolma was also mushy and inedible, WAY too much vinegar. The spinach pie was hard as a rock and had a tiny bit of spinach in the center when I was finally able to break it open. It could definitely double as a weapon. The falafel was burned to a crisp and had zero spices or flavor when I managed to break a piece off. The only item that was decent was the hummus but it was still not the same quality as the Gyro House. Going to have to find an alternative restaurant for Gyros in the future, unfortunately. read more

Best gyro in town! I've tried multiple gyros and I think this is on tops all of them, the spicy garlic sauce makes the gyro 10 times better.
