I had been in the market for an engagement ring for my fiancée for some time; I was looking for…read moresomething very specific, had been to most of the jewelers in town, most of whom were friendly and wanted to be helpful, but they pretty much all said it would take 6-8 weeks to have something made. Well I had already been waiting longer than I wanted to, and I needed someone who would both really listen to what I was needing and could get it done more quickly. I was starting to loose hope of getting one in time and within my budget, when I wandered in to Heart of Gold. From the first visit Randy Janis, the owner, was on top of it. He ordered samples and helped me figure out the details I needed to decide. When I completely changed the design I originally presented he went with the flow and began ordering gem samples for me to check out. When I finally gave the go ahead, he was on it immediately, and involved me in every step for my approval. He got it done, not in 8 weeks, not in 6 weeks, but ONE week ... and for less than I told him my budget was! He will be my first choice from here on out.

Passing through the area and decide to drop in. Initially it…read morewas to get the size of my finger. Upon entering we were greeted by Jackie, Zara, and Rachel. They let us know when they were available they would check in with us. The wait was no more than 5 mins which provided enough time to browse. I am going to mix up the names but the ladies will know who assisted us. When I mentioned I need to confirm my ring size Zara or Rachel was empathetic to my reason for the fluctuations in my size. Provided great knowledge on sizing and assuring that I was comfortable the entire time. After the fitting I showed the rings I wanted to try. She took note of what I was looking for and asked questions. From there she actually made a suggestion based on the questions and observations. It was her suggestion that was the best out of all the rings. That suggestion was the ring we purchased. The ring was also reasonably priced which wasn't a scary purchase. At the register, I was able to have addressed, which store would be best to have my ring resized. Jackie took note that it needed to be resized and I would take it to the store, the address was written down for which store to take. All three of them were great with my children while we were in the store. Jackie gave them lollipops with our permission And either Zara or Rachel did interact with them where they smiled and laughed. Overall, we left the store, excited and accomplished. The customer service is what made the experience for us. We hope that all three would get recognized providing such a positive experience.

However, the store did look a little messy (like behind the counter), but maybe I just caught them at a bad time. We had a guy in particular who helped my fiancé and I, he was very knowledgeable, but his fingers were dirty (like black tips of the finger). Overall a great experience because we got what we needed to get, but those two points are the reason why I would not give 5/5 stars.
