I sold a gold coin, around 10 lower quality Morgan's and a roll of silver quarters! I received a price very close to my own estimate and was very pleased with the service and helpfulness! I bought three BU Morgans with some of my earnings and went home with a smile! Thank you! read more

I have a friend who's sitting in a rest home bored out of his mind!! My friend asked me if I go by the bank and buy some rolls of pennies for him and he would sort through them and pull out the wheat pennies. To make things more exciting for him I went ahead and called Chuck's coins and asked to buy a roll of wheat pennies explaining what I was up to. The man who answered the phone, Sam. Said he liked the idea and wanted in on the fun and donated 100 wheat pennies to the cause. It was such a good time for my viet nam vet buddy Bob that I had to write a review and thank Sam for his help Thanks Sam read more

Sam at chucks coin is great to work with! His prices are great, he is extremely knowledgable and friendly, and willing to spend the time to talk and explain things to someone who is new to the coin game! We recently went in there and bought some silver, and he saw my daughter with me and gave her some free coins, totally made her day! I will be a customer for life here! Can't beat the customer service. read more

Chuck's Coin - 1000 oz silver bar - Investing Near Me - Redding, California

Chuck's coin was very fair with their offering regarding my 2 gold bars totaling 4-oz. Very friendly with excellent customer service. They also sold my grandson and I, three each toned raw Morgan dollars for under $70.00 each. They just came back from PCGS with two at MS65 and one MS64. He even offered to help my grandson pick out a few coins as he is starting to get into coin collecting, while steering him away from a few coins that I totally agreed with. Great adventure for both of us! "Highly Recommend - 5-Stars" We have since been back to Chuck's Coin with the same great customer service! read more

I was impressed with staff, very honest, knowledgeable, and fair. Will do business with them again!

First time to Chuck's coins today. And I have to say that I received PHENOMENAL customer service. I was warmly greeted by a gal working there. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I needed to get a coin verified for authenticity which she did. I will definitely go to chucks coins for all my future numismatic needs!! FIVE STARS for Chuck's coins!! read more

Do not buy from chucks coins! First they are not very honest about buying and there customer service is a joke! Stopped by to check out there inventory and there was two poeple at the counter being helped. Was told to take a seat and wait for help. Asked if I could just look at the showcases and was told no had to wait. Waited and waited for around 20 min and finally one customer was done so I thought would be able to look around. Well that didn't happen! Employee didn't even try to see if I needed help so by that time I was done and left. So Chucks Coins is a big joke I recommend you go to Gold Mart they are knowledgeable and honest and guess what, you can actually look around and see if you want anything which I thought that's how all business are that are trying to sell you something. Avoid Chucks Coins at all costs. read more

We highly recommend Chucks Coin! We made a last min decision to sell a piece of gold that we just had verified was real and told it was worth about a thousand. The folks here ate fair and very nice to deal with. They actually gave us a little more than what we were previously told so we went with it. Don't get me wrong the previous jeweler is someone I trust completely so I had no doubts of its authenticity or value. read more

I had called one other place in town to get an estimate on some silver coins that I was wanting to cash out. The first place I called gave me a quote of $1 less per ounce than what it was worth so I decided to call chuck's coin to get a second quote. I talked to Sam who was so great! He beat the price of the last place and it was closer to what the silver was actually worth! Seriously the best customer service! I will be back when/if I have silver to sell or buy! Thank you chuck's coin for a great first experience with cashing out my silver! :) read more

Sam was very informative and super nice! We went in just to have some inherited coins looked at and we appreciated all of the information and it was really cool to see all that they have! 10/10 would recommend checking it out! read more

Not impressed! Very poor evaluation of coins. Offered me $16 for a $200 coin. I WAS offended. All this shop wants is gold and silver. If you are a collector of coins not just silver or gold then I suggest you find a better place. If you are into collecting silver or gold and paying inflated prices, this is the place for you. There is a buzz in security system to get into the building (good) and cameras everywhere (also good.) This must not offer much protection however, because he had a pistol on his belt. The only thing missing was bulletproof glass for him to hide behind. Personally, I don't care to deal with someone who is ready to shoot you if they feel you make a wrong move. There are enough cops out there doing that. This shop will not get my business. read more

I have been involved with coins/precious metals for over sixty years and rank CCPM as one of the best dealers with whom I have done business over that period. I recommend CCPM most highly! read more

The staff at Chuck's gave me a very fair and speedy evaluation of my coins. They took time to explain in detail their decisions and the worth of each coin, even though mine were not of great value. I was impressed with their professionalism and knowledge, (as well as their sense of humor!) read more

Pretty Darn Good. We've read the several reviews that are very critical of their experience. So we were prepared. We walked up to the door. A seriously big security guard opened the door and invited us in. He was quite pleasant despite the gun and his clear demeanor that he is in charge. He requested with sit down to wait for the transaction at the counter to be finished. No problem for us. Just like in a bank or pharmacy the routine is to stand back to give the person in front of you privacy. I like privacy, and appreciated the request. We went to the counter on command. Eric was the guy we dealt with. His holstered Glock was as big as the security guard's. Eric knew everything about everything. Explained in detail about how values are determined. When I told him the spot price for gold, he looked at his computer and said it had gone up in the last hour so he could pay more. We were impressed. The security guard was quite pleasant. Sometimes you have to go with the flow and just relax. This place is really Ok. read more

A family-owned business with very modest storefront who provides the best prices for precious metals, better than those we found nationwide, right here in Redding. Appreciate the ability to do face-to-face business, be able to call for quick advice and pricing, and be able to deal with an honest, no-nonsense, kind, very knowledgeable, owner of the business which has an established track record for integrity within the precious metals industry. Does not matter the denomination of the transaction, Charlie provides professional service to each individual and offers his expertise should one be new to purchasing precious metal. So don't be influenced by the lack of a slick office, it's the knowledge, the integrity, the honesty of the person with whom you deal that matters! read more

This used to be the place to sell gold. I'm a local weekend miner and they used to always pay 80 percent of spot for placer gold. Now it 55!
