I went to Anderson's Fine Jewelry today to have a battery replaced in a diver's watch that I bought in the late '90s. The gentleman who helped me said he could replace the battery in a matter of minutes, at a very reasonable price, while I waited. I agreed. He took the watch into his workspace and returned moments later. Unfortunately, the watch didn't run when the battery was replaced. He told me that they no longer repaired the movement of watches on site, but he recommended another watch repair service provider in town. I accepted his recommendation gratefully and asked what the charge was for his efforts. He responded by saying that his efforts to fix the watch didn't work so there was no charge. How do you choose a place to create a custom engagement ring? It's one of the most cherished and meaningful pieces a woman will ever wear and you want it to be perfect. My boyfriend (at the time lol) and I went to Anderson's and found the BEST people to help us create this piece! Teresa was absolutely phenomenal and we knew we could trust her with this very sentimental task. The process to awhile, 3 months, but that was our fault not hers. She was unbelievably patient through our 8 changes we made to perfect the ring. My OCD tendencies made the process take longer than most, but the ring in the end was absolutely perfect. Being able to see renderings and even try on 3D molds of the ring along the way helped us create something truly wonderful! I went to Anderson's Fine Jewelry of Redding because, quite frankly, it was the only store open on a Saturday. I could not have been happier with my experience here! I bought some earrings from India and as it turns out, the back of one was too big and would have ripped my ear if I tried to wear them. I took them to Anderson's hoping they could replace the back but they said they couldn't. I was so bummed out. Instead, they took my earring and shaved down the back so it was slimmer and fit my ear. They took time to make sure it was done right before handing it back to me. Price to pay? $0.00. You just can't find good-hearted business folks like this any more, especially in this economy. I was extremely happy with my visit and vow to go back there should I need any more repairs. It wasn't just that they didn't charge me, it was the positive and warm attitude and the fact that they didn't just turn me down but tried to find a way to help me. What a great family business!!! I was referred to Anderson's by another Jeweler in town because I needed the missing prong on my cherished family ring repaired. I went in on Thursday and explained that I would be going out of town in a few days and was there any way they could possibly do the repair before then. Teresa asked her husband, Steve, who does the repairs and he agreed to have the ring finished in time. I was overjoyed! Much to my surprise I received a text the very next day stating my ring was ready!! I went in and almost didn't recognize my ring. It looked brand new! To add to my joy, Teresa asked if she could clean my diamond wedding band. It, too, came back to me looking brand new!!!
