This location has gone downhill for me. I always order take away; pudding cups being part of that order. & the man at the window says they don't do that. 'They've never sold take an away pudding cups. But he'll allow it this one time since I was already charged' I also ordered "original crust" pepperoni pizza. & clearly got thin. When asked about it, he insisted that was original. I would have asked him to remake it, but he was super passive aggressive & didn't want to risk him spitting in it. Their system was down and he was giving me grief about my cards not working, another customer came in and he's like oh I guess it's our system. Then he got very rude AGAIN! If it wasnt for the fact that the next closest was 30 mins away we would have left! In the beginning, finding the person who welcomed was good... my two-year-old started having a meltdown as one toddler does when they have to eat before games (parents understand ) there were two employees just staring laughing at her so I said it doesn't help to stare this situation is already stressful enough they start laughing and being like wtf did we do so I explain to stop staring go back to work ! I take my two year old in the restroom i literally hear them talking shit and laughing at me like poor as customer service made me loose my appetite right then and there so now I lost money! I would give negative service stars if allowed. I would not recommend having a birthday party at Mr. Gattis in Taylor! We just had the worse experience there!! My grandson just turned 9 and has been having his parties there since he was 2 or 3 and had always been a nice experience, but this year was TERRIBLE!! My daughter paid about $400 for 2 birthday parties (48 people) and they put us in a tiny room made for 24 people and refused to move us into the double room that was paid for, that I might mention WAS NOT being used--except for a bunch of pizza boxes on the tables. There were not even any goody bags for the kids--just a piece of paper to color on with a box of a couple of crayons and a note saying to not take the crayons as they are for all parties to use. They said they were under "new management". Well, their "new management" needs to be IMMEDIATELY fired. When I asked who the manager was, I was told there were a couple managers and when I said it was a man, the name I was given was Justin Odom. That is the spelling I was given so I hope it's correct. He stormed into the birthday party with a room full of kids and started making a scene over an open door that they were told minutes before could be open and was extremely rude overall. He slammed the door on a pregnant woman while yelling "in or out"! Everyone in the room saw it. One party goer made the comment that he's glad the manager didn't slam anyone's fingers in the door as it would have been bad. He then went to my daughter and was fixing to yell at her but her husband jumped in and stopped it. I didn't hear my son-in-law say anything to the manager, but I heard (and I'm sure everyone did) the manager yell "change your attitude" to my son-in-law. The manager was the one needing to change his attitude. He's lucky he acted that way to my son-in-law in front of all the kids, otherwise he might've gotten decked, which is 100% what he deserved! My daughter and son-in-law kept apologizing to everyone at the party but they're not the ones that needed to be apologizing! Corporate needs to step up and take care of this. They made a lot of extra money off the parents that went and bought buffets too. Apparently they didn't care to provide excellent customer service to their patrons spending so much money with them. A couple of parents at the party initially said that would be a good place for their kids' parties, but they said they will definitely NOT be booking a party there now. Manager Justin Odom should be fired or immediately be reassigned to mopping floors or washing dishes where he has no interaction with the public. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional in a service industry like this!! read more

We did buffet for lunch and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was super friendly and even made us a special pizza! The salad bar was full and clean! The play room we didn't visit. The areas to sit were ish clean but the drink area was messy and sticky so would recommend watching where you step. Overall we would go back! read more

We came to Mr. Gattis late May with my granddaughters and there was hardly any fresh pizza out. Today, 7/9, we came for dinner and salad bar was out of broccoli, cauliflower and tomatoes without sign letting customers know they didn't have them, yet we're charged same price. Almost 3/4 of the Arcade games are broken. Skee Ball was down, high ticket games either were down or the screen was smashed. The Roller Coaster ride had looked like that someone was hungry that they ate it. And also there was 0 people working for the ticket place and we waited 10 minutes for nobody to help us. I don't recommend going unless you make sure that the games are working and the place has people at the Arcade. read more

Awesome staff!! We came in late, and they made us 3 fresh pizzas and dessert!! New, clean and well kept. Grateful to the staff for their courtesy. I truly hate to be "those" guests, and they were more than accommodating! We will continue to eat here every chance we get! Pizza is okay and the customer service is good. The staff is nice for the most part. However, the arcade has half of the games broken. The games that do function have messed up screens or just take 2-3 swipes to work, most of the time deducting money from your card with each swipe. I did find a hair in the pizza today, which I understand happens but is still gross. Also, to-go cups are not a thing apparently. You have to purchase a cup to take it home. We visited (for the first time) around 1pm on March 21, 2019 with our two young children. It was a fantastic experience. Not knowing the ropes, the woman at the register was very patient and informative as she explained the process of the buffet and the game room. I was super impressed with the quality of service and friendliness from everyone we encountered and the CLEANLINESS! All of their dining rooms, buffet lines, and drink areas were very well kept. There was plenty of seating and the game room offered lots of fun options at affordable rates. Many games were only $0.25 or $0.50 unlike similar game rooms at movie theaters that charge you a mint per play. When my 6 yr. old cashed in her tokens, the game lady even threw in a little something extra for my 3 yr. old. I was really grateful for her consideration and she said "I have kids, too!" We had a really good time and will definitely return. I would expect any pizza buffet place to be a little grungy with kid chaos everywhere but was very pleasantly surprised to find the exact opposite. Kudos to the staff and management! read more

It was really good for having come at 3pm. There was fresh pizza out, pasta, and cheesebread. That is about all you can ask for at 3pm on a weekday. The pizza was standard Gatti's fare. The allure of Gatti's is the enormous amount of pizza for cheap. I can forgive that it is not top notch pizza at that price. PLAY THE CLAW GAME. I love Mr Gatti's, or whatever it's called these days. I'm from CA, so when we came out to visit family, they took us to this location. It was very clean, the arcade area was a big hit with the kids, the soda dispenser had a lot of cool options, and the pizza was excellent as always. I really love the dessert selection. Even the employees seemed very nice and happy - like one of the guys. I wish we had one of these on the West Coast. I'd be putting on pounds weekly! read more

Wanted a pizza thin crust with no mushroom. A deluxe pizza with no mushroom. My partner and I come in every Friday or Sunday. Ask for the same thing every week. I get told by manager they can not change to recipe. Your not changing it your leaving mushroom off. Guess this was our last time here. Really good and they have a decent selection given it's location. While it may it may not be as big and nice as the one in Round Rock still not bad for being Taylor. On a side note excited that they will soon open a Gattiland in Taylor. It was much needed seeing how Taylor seems to remain a repressed city. read more

First let me say this is a new store just opened within last couple months on hwy 95 in Taylor,TX. The restroom was deplorable when I told someone about it they went in and swept the paper towels from the floor but did nothing else. There are no trays to put your plate, silverware or glass on, so these things you must juggle. The salad bar had things like potato salad and dressing for your green salad, but before you get to the green salad? I guess they expect you to put it on your plate then put your salad on top? The things on the back row of the salad bar can not be reached without leaning in under the glass shield. The plates are in the middle of the bars so you must go around the confusion to get your plate then try to find a place in line again. What a mess, it's as though no thought whatsoever was applied here! The tables were all sticky from having been used previously. We were sitting at one table out of three that were occupied in the whole dining room. Once we found a reasonably clean table and put down our plates etc. I noticed my spoon still had food dried on from not coming clean in the washer? I had to dig through the silverware canister to find a spoon that looked clean. The theater room only had a couple tables occupied, so it was not like they were so busy....this is a brand new restaurant. It looks like it's been there for years. The floor in the hallway where the drink machines are, had a puddle on it which employees stepped around the whole time we were there. Where is the management that should be over seeing this place? The pizza was dried out and barely warm, seemed like it had sat there for a long time. This was around 5:00 pm on Sunday so I would have thought they would be ready for the dinner crowd???? This is the second time we've eaten here....once when it first opened, and then again 1/10/16. We thought well they had just opened before, so I thought by now the kinks would have been worked out, so to speak.....not so, it's worse now than it was when they first open the new store. Took my kids to a party that was at Gattis. So that means the parents paid a lot of money to have it there. My wife and I had just ate so weren't interested in eating again. We were told we had to pay for buffets to enter. I questioned the manager and was simply told "we have signs posted". Was told it was because they can't keep track if you're eating or not, so their bad business model becomes my problem. The Pizza was OK, however the new store on Hwy 95 is confusing. Drinks are in a hallway away from the food and the buffet seems to not have a beginning or end place. People just walk up in the middle or where ever. The buffet also seems to be made for service from both sides because it's very hard to reach across to the back and in some cases I saw people lean in under the glass to try to reach. The selection was out, on most of the pans on the buffet, and so we had to wait for some to be put up for selection. Salad looked fresh but again seemed to not be well organized. Wait server was good, he kept the use plates removed. In deed I left to go to the rest room and when I came back the table had been cleared and I had to go up and get more food....over all needs some organizing. Worth the price. read more
