Absolute Nightmare - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. This has been, without a doubt, the most frustrating consumer experience of my entire life. The "Service" (or lack thereof): We had a technician come out and repair our fridge. We got charged way over $1,000.00 for a replacement part - just to realize that the problem was not solved. After various additional visits, the technician gave up - and said there is no solution. At that point we (of course) asked for a refund. That's when the 'service' stopped. Entirely. The Phone Hell: Trying to get an update is a full-time job. I have spent a combined total of over six hours on hold with this company. When--and if--someone finally picks up, they are rude, dismissive, and constantly refer to a 'manager' (who is NEVER available, and ALWAYS in meetings...) needing to weigh in. Twice, I was "accidentally" disconnected after waiting 45 minutes. To call this frustrating does not even begin to cover the agony (and waste of time). The Stalling: Every time I actually get a human on the line, the story changes. Every call ended with "We will do this by tomorrow." or "You will hear from us by next week." or "My manager will call you back this evening." None of those things actually ever happened. It was blatantly obvious they are just stalling to keep the money without doing the work. It took us WEEKS to finally get our money back. The Verdict: Save yourself the headache, the wasted time, and the money. Do not go into business with them. Find literally anyone else.

Mr. Appliance encourages online scheduling which I did on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The website…read moreoffered Monday afternoon, March 30, as the first available date. I chose Monday afternoon, March 30, and the website sent an e-mail confirming the date, between 12 noon and 4 pm. On Monday, at 1:45 pm, I called the telephone number provided to ask when the technician would arrive. The local Mr. Appliance person said that my appointment is scheduled for Tuesday instead of Monday. I protested to no avail. The excuse is the Richmond office is closed on Sunday. Thus, the Mr. Appliance website CANNOT BE TRUSTED to make an honest appointment. I will report, again, after the technician visits, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31.

The washer was making loud sounds so I called and tried to make an appointment. I was told they do not service stackables. Sold me on stackable then left me hanging. Previously I purchased a refridgerater, stove, washer and dryer from Lakeside-I will never buy from them again.

If you buy from here hope your appliance doesn't break. Bought an Asko dishwasher in December and…read moreit stopped working on February 16th. Believe the other bad reviews about their customer service, now under new management Jason Medico, sales Casey Franz. We went over a month of downtime and zero proactive communication from the store. It shouldn't the customer's job to chase down management for updates on a defective product. On March 2nd RVA Repairs, Lakeside's Asko service third party came for ten minutes and said they didn't know the problem and said would order a new main board, UI board, and latch but wasn't 100% sure that would fix it which would also be another two week turn around time to order/ship the parts and fix. Ended up having Asko send a replacement on March 9th with Lakeside Appliance's contractor who they've worked with for "over 30 years" to install it the next week. No service window was provided for when the plumber contractor would come to install new dishwasher. Had to call Appliances on Lakeside to contact them to let me know when the installation time window was. Kevin, the contractor, scratches the front of the dishwasher right off of the van and scratches the doorhandle while installing it. Avoid this store if you value follow-through and reliability.

The gentleman there asked about the issues we were having. He then suggested that, before buying a new dryer, we first get the dryer vent cleaned. He also suggested a reputable company for the vent cleaning. After the cleaning, everything is working fine. We really appreciate the help and honesty we got at Lipscombe Appliance. Would definitely use in the future.

I had clearly…read moreexplained the issue over the phone and even offered to send photos beforehand, but that wasn't taken up. When the technician arrived, I showed him the small plastic latch piece that had broken off. He only briefly looked at the washer itself and quickly concluded that the issue required a full lid assembly replacement costing around $400-$450, along with an $80 service charge for the visit. Afterwards, I purchased the replacement latch part from another appliance store for about $13 and replaced it myself in a few minutes after watching a repair video. The washer is now working properly. My concern is that the specific broken part I identified was not really evaluated, and the diagnosis felt very quick given the simplicity of the actual repair. I understand technicians rely on experience, but in this case the solution turned out to be far less complex than what was quoted. Overall, I left feeling that the issue wasn't fully considered, which led to an unnecessary service fee and a much more expensive repair recommendation than was needed.
